The mosquito net on the windows protected him from more than just insects. His parents were away, so no one could let her into the house. Having ruled out the impossible, he could only guess: 'Could it be… she just appeared here?' Emil wondered. Then he quickly shook his head, bringing the chaos in his head back to some measure of order. 'It seems the Hao's egg principle hasn't worked…' "Same question," Elle said, striking a pose.
