ㅤ This was some kind of wrong dimension. No, all the branch dimensions had varying degrees of distortion in one place or another, but this one… Elle looked at a family photo in her home, but in it, besides her parents, an unfamiliar guy stared back at her, signed in beautiful handwriting as Emil, with the date the photo was taken. There was no hint of Elle herself. 'Is this some kind of joke?' she quietly wondered. "Um, excuse me?" The guy in the photo, entering the room, meant otherwise. He was no less puzzled than the unexpected guest. "How did you get here?" The doors locked automatically, so he couldn't forget to close them even if he wanted to. The mosquito net on the windows protected him from more than just insects. His parents were away, so no one could let her into the house. Having ruled out the impossible, he could only guess: 'Could it be… she just appeared here?' Emil wondered. Then he quickly shook his head, bringing the chaos in his head back to some measure of order. 'It seems the Hao's egg principle hasn't worked…' "Same question," Elle said, striking a pose. "How did you manage to be born? It should have been me! Oh, I mean, a girl!" The boy laughed awkwardly, scratching his temple with his finger. "Mom said dad said the same thing when he saw me… But he was obsessed with family from the very first meeting, insisting on having a child as soon as possible. And he still hasn't let up, asking for a girl. But it's not working out," Emil looked away, starting to talk more to himself out of excitement. "Perhaps it's the birth control pills I recently found. Why is she even taking them? Mom so insistently told dad she was okay with it… Should I tell dad? But if I tell, won’t it make things worse?" he muttered tirelessly, as if unaware of Elle's intense gaze. "Their relationship has been strained lately… Precisely because of all the questions about the girl. Maybe I really wasn't supposed to be the one born?" He glanced at his guest questioningly, as if she knew more than he did. And she knew! It was just hard to explain. And was it even necessary? After all, the misunderstanding would soon be erased. Especially since the catalyst stood right in front of her, completely defenseless. He didn't even immediately understand what had happened when the spear pierced his chest. They continued to stare into each other's eyes, perplexed. 'How terrifying!' Elle thought, as the howl of the "false" dimension crumbled. 'If dad had messed up, this could have happened…' For a moment, Elle stood there, stunned. Not for long. She was used to the shocks of fate, so soon, shaking her head, she dismissed the unnecessary thoughts and went to write a report in the office. ㅤ
