ㅤ Presea still found it difficult to feel human. She preferred to avoid big cities, feeling… different. The only people who made her feel anything other than anxiety were her friends, whom she rarely saw after her journey. But there was something else that brought light to her wounded soul: nature. Presea spent most of her time away from people, dreaming of being human again… She even had a favorite spot: under the shade of a tree near a flowering meadow, over which a multitude of insects hovered, including colorful butterflies. One of them even landed on Presea's finger once! Presea sat so still. She seemed so lifeless… Lloyd's compliment reminded her: "Wow! Not everyone can do that! Cool!" Not everyone… "It's okay," Colette hastened to reassure her, seeing a fleeting glimpse of sadness. "Even though butterflies rarely fly near people, it's still quite common. I once fell, and two landed on my head!" she laughed, making Presea smile too. Presea arrived at her usual spot and was pleasantly surprised by the chirping of the chicks. She hadn't even noticed how the birds had settled above her, building a nest and diligently incubating their eggs. Now little chicks were incessantly chattering, filling the space with their squeaks and ringing chirps. The parents flew back and forth, bringing food, oblivious to the visitor. Until one of the birds finally noticed her. They both watched each other attentively: Presea and the bird. Presea carefully extended her hand, offering her finger for landing. After a moment, the bird settled… A magical moment that brought both unusual joy and… sadness. 'But don't birds perch on people's fingers only in fairy tales?' Presea mused sadly. There remained hope that Colette would find an explanation here too, so Presea tried to stay positive. As Lloyd had said, encouraging her: "You're human! You're just special. Just like all of us here. Colette's an expert at clumsiness, Genis is a genius…" "And I'm a master at falling into holes…" Sheena interrupted sullenly, patching up the bruises and scrapes from another flight into the unknown. "Sorry…" Colette said guiltily. Presea smiled, looking at the bird on her finger. It had made her feel something, just like her friends. Her heart beat a little faster with excitement. Her breathing deepened. But the bird still didn't fly away. Simply because… 'Special.' Simply because Presea possessed a rare gift that some could only dream of. This didn't mean she lacked life. ㅤ
