“Ave! Com’n! Ronnie’s leaving!” Ginny burst in.
“I have to finish my potion,” Right, Ave also was obsessed with magic. She couldn’t dorealmagic yet, so she was going through a potions stage.
“If they wait longer, they’ll be late.”
Ave shrugged, “They can leave, I’ll see it next year.”
Ginny sighed, “Please.”
Ave stirred the potion, “If I leave this thing could blow. I promise I’ll do whatever next year. I’ll write you another ‘I-owe-you’ cards.”
Ginny smiled, “Fine. See you!” Then she skipped out of the room.
Ave smiled distantly, then flipped the page and continued adding ingredients.
“Ronnie’s gone now,” Ginny flopped onto the bed.
Ave rolled her eyes, “I’m notthatboring.”
“You sure?”
“Jeez, you’re awfully mopey today. I’m going to Grandma Cedrella, wanna come?”
“Ave, she only likes you.”
“That’s because you just fight her the entire time.”
“She said she regretted marrying Septimus!”
“Fights happen.”
“Becauseshe wished she didn’t ruin her Black blood and thought her child would be better, butnoooo. He failed and married a Prewett, which is considered failure. She called us mutt babies, then proceeded to correct thatwewere mutt babies and you came outperfect.”
Ave paused, “Well, she’s a twisted woman.”
“Then why do you like her?”
“She gave me potion ingredients, books, and paid for my dance lessons, which is worthanycompany. Besides, she always has plenty of books, doesn’t both me if I don’t want to be bothered, and spoils me.”
Ginny sighed, “I wish she liked me.”
“So it’s a no?”
“Go to you wonderful grandmother,” Ginny responded grumpily.
Ave shrugged, “I offered.” She grabbed the floo powder. “Weasley Manor!”
