Chapter 2:The Heart of the Castle (The Secret Room)

The first morning at the New Hogwarts felt like waking up inside a dream.
Harry woke up and felt very strange. His bed was not just a normal bed anymore. The red curtains were glowing with gold stars. When he put his feet on the floor, the stone felt warm and soft like a carpet.
"Ron, wake up!" Harry called out.
Ron jumped out of bed and looked at his shoes. "Harry, my shoes are making music!" he said. They both laughed, but they were also a little bit nervous.
They went downstairs to find Hermione. She was looking at her wand. The wand was floating in the air and spinning in circles.
"The magic is too strong today," Hermione said. "My wand does not want to stay in my pocket. It wants to go to the basement. I think the castle is calling us."
Harry felt his hand start to glow again. The silver light from his scar was pulsing like a heartbeat. "I feel it too," Harry said. "Let’s follow the light."
They walked through the hallways. The school looked very different. The walls were white and clean, and the stairs moved very fast to help them. They went down, down, down to the bottom of the school.
They found a giant door made of bright, white light. When they opened it, they saw a beautiful room. In the middle of the room was a huge crystal. It was spinning and shining with every color you can imagine.
"That is the heart of Hogwarts," Hermione whispered.
But then, they saw something scary. Black shadows were crawling up the crystal. The shadows looked like cold smoke. They were trying to stop the light from shining.
"The school is trying to be new, but the old darkness is still here," Neville said. He was holding his glowing silver plant. "If the shadows win, the magic will break!"
In front of the crystal, there was a golden chair. It was the same empty chair Harry saw at dinner. Harry knew he had to do something. He walked toward the chair, but the shadows felt very cold.
"Be careful, Harry!" Ron yelled.
Harry reached out his hand. As soon as he touched the chair, the silver light on his skin became very bright. The whole room started to shake. Harry sat down, and the battle between the light and the dark began.
As Harry sat in the golden chair, he felt a huge wave of energy. It felt like warm water flowing through his body. The silver light on his hand grew until it covered his whole arm.
"Harry! Your eyes are glowing!" Ron shouted. He had to cover his face because the light was so bright.
The black shadows didn't like the light. They hissed like snakes and tried to wrap around Harry’s legs. They felt like ice, making Harry shiver. But Harry didn't move. He closed his eyes and thought about his friends, his stepmother, and his home. He thought about how much he loved Hogwarts.
Suddenly, the big crystal in the middle of the room turned bright gold. It sent out a giant ring of light that hit the walls. BOOM! The black shadows disappeared instantly. The air became sweet and warm again.
"You did it!" Hermione cried out, running to him.
Harry stood up, feeling very tired but happy. The crystal was now quiet and beautiful. The "Heart" of the castle was safe. But as they looked up, they saw the ceiling of the room was melting away. They could see the Great Hall right above them.
"The school is finally whole," Neville said, looking at his plant. It was no longer just silver; it was growing colorful flowers that looked like tiny stars.
Harry looked at his friends. "It’s time to show everyone," he said. "The Renaissance isn't just a secret in this room anymore. It’s for the whole world."
