'No Matter What'

Caelus told Planet X to meet him in the Kuiper Belt. As Planet X drifts in he spots Proteus, he looks away anxiously. But Proteus notices him, and floats over to the larger planet. “Hey X!!” Proteus exclaims happily. “Oh, hey Little buddy..!” Planet X says in a hushed tone. “Are you okay??” Proteus questions. “Yknow what, im just gonna say this” Planet X Cried. Proteus cocks his head (he doesn't have a head) to the side, as how Caelus’s axis would normally be. Planet X starts. “You know how when we first became friends, I said that I couldn't be friendly? Well this is it! The real me, arrogant, needy, all for my own, and self obsessed!! I just wanted revenge from Jupiter!! But here I am, falling head over heels for a MOON!!! Ugh… What is wrong with me…? Trying to be someone I'm not.. AGAIN!!! Sigh.. I hope you're fine with the truth, Proteus…” Proteus stares at Planet X, something in his gaze shifts, that remorse he has, completely gone, replaced with a stubborn childish determination. “Planet X, just because you are like this doesn't mean that you have to be like this, you just need a little push! I can help..!” Planet X is in a pure utter loss for words. ‘He didn't give up on me..?’ The planet thought to himself. “O-Okay… I’d like that. Best friend..?” Planet X says, lastly asking for affirmation hopefully. Proteus drifts closer next to the larger planet, resting slightly on his surface. “Of course, best friend!”
