Translator’s Note: I fell in love with this work because of its originality and its gripping plot with an unusual twist. It’s one of the best fanfics I’ve ever read, and I really wanted more people to have an opportunity to read it. The original fanfic is complete. The author’s permission for the translation has been obtained. Author’s Note: The fanfic’s premise isn’t very original, but I tried to tell my own story. I made a real effort to avoid OOC (Out Of Character), though I realize that any fic where Tom Riddle starts developing feelings for someone is automatically somewhat OOC. The core idea of my work is to reaffirm the main theme of the original HP series: “a power more wonderful and more terrible than death, than the human mind, than the forces of nature.” In other words, to reinforce Rowling’s message about how powerful love truly is – and how it should never be underestimated.
