*Zackery enters Miss Sasha's art class. The other kids are sitting at their desks, and he's sitting at the same desk as Jonathan. *
Miss Sasha: Hi, class, today I just want you to draw anything. I need to see the skill level of the class. Please keep everything clean. The kindergarteners use this room as well.
*Jonathan and Zackery take pieces of paper and start to draw. *
Jonathan: This is so annoying.
Zackery: Yeah, yeah. You're always annoyed.
Jonathan: Why were you talking with the other kid?
Zackery: He was just looked a little lonely. I just wanted to make him feel welcomed.
Jonathan: If I had swapped places with him, I would've felt less welcomed.
Zackery: Why?
Jonathan: Having some random guy start talking to you isn't a good idea.
Zackery: Maybe on the street, but we're in school. That's how you interact with people.
Jonathan: That's how you interact with people. NO one else does that.
Zackery: It works though.
Jonathan: If that type of thing works, then you would have friends.
Zackery: I do have friends. Mary seemed to like being around me. - Wait, I just realized something. Mary. CAN -
Miss Sasha: Don't yell.
Zackery: Sorry. *Zackery walks over to Mary's desk. He's sitting next to a giraffe-like student who's meticulously painting. * Could you sit with me and Jonathan?
Mary: oh ... sure.
*Mary moves to the desk. *
Mary: So, why did you want me to sit here?
Zackery: I wanted to talk.
Mary: Okay.
...
...
...
Are you gonna say anything?
Zackery: I was gonna let you talk.
Mary: I don't have anything to talk about.
Zackery: Alright. I can start. Did you talk to anyone on the way here? I met this cool guy in the hallway.
Mary: Not really. I -
Zackery: He had this apple stem, and it was really cool. He likes art class to. Do you like art class?
Mary: yes, I-
Zackery: OH MY GOSH. I just realized. We're -
Mary: Can you to just stop?
*Both Jonathan and Zackery stop talking. *
Mary: I can't say anything when you two keep interrupting me.
Zackery: I didn't mean to.
Mary: I know. Just let me speak.
Zackery: Okay.
Mary: Alright. It's been okay so far. It was really nice of you to let me join you on the way to school. I've never really had anyone do that for me. Especially not at the other school's I've went to. I'd like if I joined you on every walk to school.
Zackery: You went to a different school? What was it like?
Mary: ... It was fine.
Zackery: Then why did you move?
Mary: ... I told my parents about something. They didn't like that, so they sent me here. I think it was supposed to be a punishment, but nothing here seems like one.
Zackery: What did you tell them?
Mary: I just ... I'll tell you later, okay?
Zackery: Sure. I just thought of something, do you want to hang out at the library?
Mary: Sorry, I was gonna go there alone.
Zackery: oh, okay. Well, what are your drawing.
Mary: You really need to stop pivoting to so many different topics. I can't focus.
Zackery: Let's focus on the drawing.
Mary: So, I'm drawing me.
*Zackery looks at the picture. *
Zackery: Why are you wearing a suit and tie?
Mary: I usually don't wear that sort of thing, so I thought I'd try something new.
Zackery: Can you draw me in a suit and tie?
Mary: Sure.
*Mary starts to draw Zackery in a suit a- *
*Ring *
Mary: Sorry. I'll finish the drawing later.
*The class moves towards its next classroom. History class. *
