*Be- *
*Before the alarm on her phone finishes its first beep, Miss Circle wakes up from her bed. She switches from pajamas to casual clothing, prepares her hair, and a few other things, and goes to the couch where Mister Compass is ... *
*Mister Compass lies on the couch ... awake ... barley. His hair is unkept and his clothes are wrinkled. Bags hang below his eyes as he looks ... he isn't looking at anything really. *
Miss Circle: Compass.
*Mister Compass turns to look at Miss Circle. *
Miss Circle: I'll be out with Thavel and Bloomie. Need me to drop you off anywhere?
Mister Compass: n- yes actually. The *Yawns* paper school. Need to talk to Miss Grace about what I'm actually supposed to do.
*Miss Circle and Mister Compass get in their car and drive off; Miss Circle driving this time around. *
Miss Circle: Compass. ... Why'd you decide to take this job?
Mister Compass: Had to help out Thavel. You guys are friends so ... helping her is like helping you. Besides ... had to compensate for the pay cut that you caused.
Miss Circle: ...
do you ... not ...
sorry, got distracted. Thanks for doing that.
*Miss Circle drops off Mister Compass at the Paper School. Now Miss Circle has to pick up Miss Thavel and Miss Bloomie. *
*Picking up Bloomie is easy, as she lives in front of the houses near the school. Unfortunately, the seats are a little to big for her to sit in comfortably ... but it's not that big of a deal ... to Miss Circle. Thavel will take longer. She lives pretty far. As Miss Circle drives ...*
Miss Bloomie: Have you been checking up on Miss Thavel recently?
Miss Circle: It's only been ... less than a day. Why would I need to call her this early?
Miss Bloomie: I'm just ... a little worried about how she's taking the whole "no k*lling" thing. You know what she was like before. When she's alone. Now? I don't know how much worse things will get.
*Miss Circle's claw clenches the steering wheel tightly. *
Miss Circle: Thavel's fine. She ... she's fine. We do awful sh*t all the time. This? This is noth-
Miss Bloomie: Nothing?! Circle, you can't just act like this means nothing when considering -
Miss Circle: look, if she's truly upset, then we'll cheer her up. Maybe we can ... uhhh ...
Miss Bloomie: You didn't plan anything?
Miss Circle: I thought you might've. Maybe ... Thavel has something.
*Miss Circle parks at a small apartment building. Miss Thavel is already standing in front of it. Miss Bloomie called to prepare her. Miss Thavel gets in the car.*
Miss Thavel: thanks. ... so ...
are we gonna ...
go.
Miss Circle Where? Neither of us planned anything.
Miss Thavel: Well. Maybe we could *Miss Thavel looks down. * hang out at ... one of your places?
Miss Circle: Why not Bloomie's house?
Miss Thavel: ... She said no.
Miss Circle: ... fine! (I just drove from there. Couldn't pick anything more exciting?)
Miss Thavel: what?
Miss Circle: Nothing. Just ... don't f*ck anything up.
*And with that ... Miss Circle begins to drive back to her apartment. *
*Miss Bloomie is side-eyeing Miss Thavel's eyes. *
*They're red. *
*Once they arrive at the apartment building ... they enter Circle and Compass' room. It's ... way ... way larger than a normal apartment building to accommodate their size. *
*Miss Bloomie and Miss Thavel sit on the couch while Miss Circle grabs snacks for the three of them. Thavel transforms into her true form, as that form's size is more suited here. *
Miss Bloomie: Thavel. You're ... you are feeling alright. Right?
Miss Thavel: When am I not?
Miss Bloomie: You were crying earlier. Your eyes were red.
Miss Thavel: Well ... we all have our -
Miss Bloomie: Do you not trust me?
Miss Thavel: o- Of course I-
Miss Bloomie: Then. Why. Did. You. Lie?
Miss Thavel: ... It's nothing. Just ... ignore it ... you ... you said to "figure it out yourself" ... that's what I'm doing. Just ... in a different context.
Miss Bloomie: ...
*Miss Circle brings in some snacks but ... the mood between Thavel and Bloomie ... it takes a lot of the fun out of it. *
