RUBY: So, do you think we could study at my home?
Riley: *sigh* Fine.
*Robby and RUBY arrive at a garage. It opens and, on the inside it ... it's not nearly as bland as she expected. *
*RUBY, for the 2nd time this week, creates some notes within her system. *
RUBY: This is gonna take an hour. You can look around if you'd like. Just ... don't touch anything.
*Riley looks around the room. The drawing of herself that RUBY drew in a attached to the wall. A machine in the corner of the room is building something. *
Riley: What *Riley points at the machine. * is that?
RUBY: I've been building a ... it's something that can help me.
Riley: That's not specific enough.
RUBY: I-I just don't really trust you with that information.
*Riley's expression becomes saddened. *
RUBY: Alright. It's ... a back-up. In case I am destroyed, this will act as a back-up to bring me back.
Riley: Why would you hide that? Why wouldn't you trust me?
RUBY: It's just that you aren't the most ... stable.
Riley: "STABLE!" What do you mean "aren't the most stable?"
RUBY: I can't really clarify what I mean without breaking the deal.
Riley: Y- Wh- *GHHHHHHH* .
Riley: What ... whateve-
RUBY: Riley, it's okay if you're upset. You don't need to dismiss this.
Riley: What the f*ck am I supposed to do? Say "You're right RUBY, I'm a st*pid, immat*re person who can't be trusted?"
RUBY: NO! I never said anything like that.
Riley: You don't need to. I KNOW you think that about me.
RUBY: You can ACT immature sometimes. That doesn't mean that you're an immature person in general. You ... just need to get over those tendencies. And ... you're not stup*d. I've noticed a lot of improvement when we study. If we keep practicing, I'm sure you could be on par with Engel or Bubble's grades.
Riley: ... Why do like me?
RUBY: What?
Riley: y - ... you clearly like me. NO ONE has insisted on staying around me this long. WHY?
RUBY: ... Because ... you need help. I know you're not a perfect person, but that doesn't mean that everyone should turn their back on you. Even if you never change ... I don't think that I could live with letting you d*e. Letting you be alone. Letting you believe that no one cares about you.
Riley: You're ... a fool for believing something like that.
RUBY: I'll gladly be a fool if it means helping you. *RUBY's system finishes uploading. * It's done. We can now start studying.
*Riley and RUBY study on various material (Science, Math, World History, ETC.) for three hours, just like with Robby. When it's done, Riley starts to walk out of the garage. *
Riley: ... t- th- thank ... y-you.
*Riley runs back to her house. *
