FPE Impetus AU: Grading

Miss Périr: WAKE UP! *Skell awakens. A winged figure stands over him. It's time to go to school. * *Skell flies towards the school. * *RUBY walks to school early today. She has to make sure that she can study with Riley before class starts. Riley is standing at the entrance, drawing Oliver/Katie again. There are bags under her eyes. * RUBY: Hey Ril- Riley: Does my drawing look good? *Riley flips over the page. It's a drawing of Oliver/Katie. Again. * RUBY: It's fine Riley: You said that yesterday! *She says angrily* RUBY: Oh. It's a little better than before. Riley: What do you want anyway? I've never seen you out this early. RUBY: I could say the same to you. I just wanted to study. You ... haven't been doing well as science or math. Riley: Can we still do the "I get to talk about Oliver/Katie thing?" RUBY: Sure. Bubble: Can I join in? *RUBY turns around. Bubble is standing there. RUBY looks at Riley, wanting to get her permission first. * Riley: Get out of here. Bubble: Fine. *Bubble walks into the school. * *Engel's routine repeats as always. Comb his hair and tail, pack up his lunch, say goodbye to his mom (to yet again, a disgusted response), and walk to school. * *Engel walks into his class. Something's off. Bubble's not there. * Engel: Kevin? *Kevin looks at Engel. * Engel: Where's Bubble? Kevin: Haven't seen her. Engel: Have you seen Bubble, RUBY? RUBY: Me and Riley saw her before class started. Oliver/Katie (Eating soap): I saw her at her locker. *Chew* She was walking away from class for some reason. *"I hope she gets to class soon." Engel thinks. * *Miss Circle starts the class and hands out the assignments. * *RUBY writes down the answers with mechanical efficiency. Riley, who's sitting at their table again, struggles to answer the problems properly. Skell ...* *RUBY looks at Skell and his assignment. Nothing. No answered questions. No name. He doesn't even have a pencil. Is he trying to fail? She thinks. * RUBY: *Whispering* Skell? You need to start answering the questions. *Skell doesn't respond. * RUBY: Skell! You'll die if you don't start. *No response. * RUBY: skell? Skell: Thanks for being my friend, RUBY! *The bell eventually rings. * Skell: Bye, RUBY. RUBY: Skell, y- Miss Circle: Engel, before you leave, someone left a note for you *Miss Circle hands Engel a note. It's from Bubble. * Skell! Stay after class. NOTE: Hey, it's Bubble. I was working on cool project that you'll like. I made a memorial to Abbie and Lana. Check the room where they died. I got permission from the teachers as well. *Engel's anxiety lowers. Bubble's safe. Engel walks out of the door. RUBY is there. * Engel: RUBY? You need to get out of here. You know what Miss Circle will do if she notices that you're watching. RUBY: ... *RUBY steps away from the door. * ... Skell didn't even try to answer the questions... *RUBY runs away. Engel walks towards the green doors. * *Finally. A student finally failed. She can't believe it took a whole day. * Miss Circle: You didn't even try. You really thought you could pass without even writing on the page? *Skell looks blankly. No fear. No sadness. * Miss Circle: *She says sarcastically. * Are you afraid to say anything? Skell: No. There's just no point in talking. *"Now all the fun's been taken out of it!" Miss Circle thinks* *Miss Circle uses her compass to stab into Skell's head. She grabs his torso with her hand and tears out his stomach, making sure to ingest the organs that don't that fall out. She bites down on Skell's head and tears it off, consuming it. * *He knows what's going to happen to Skell. He's trying not to think of it. He's in front of the doors. He opens them. * Engel: Bubble? *Bubble's gone. Pieces of her body torn off. Her pet duck is sitting in the corner, afraid. * Engel: BUBBLE!!
