The corpse continent series book 1: The boy named Dragon

"What is this madness?!" Dragon demanded shouting in the face of an arsonist that was setting fire to Allura and what he was told that a few short years ago a leader of a violent gang had gathered enough influence to take over Rahara and move his attention to Allura and for the past couple years there has been nothing but violence and war and when asked the name of this leader absolutely afraid of the answer because he knew this man they all knew him his name is Malcolm who was Dragon, Magnus, Angela, Bella, Leah, Mya, Jack and Eric's birth father When they heard that name most of them froze on the spot but the city was still on fire so Dragon, Hela, Astrid, Magnus and Aaron had to keep them focus so they split up into groups Magnus took Jack, Eric and Mya and headed to the west side of the city and Aaron took Astrid, Angela, Bella and Leah and headed for the south side, Hela headed for the east side while Dragon headed for the north side both on their own All of them had the same task put out fires and save as many lives as they can also take down as many arsonist as they can along the way. On the south side of Allura Aaron was flying above the flames while Bella and Leah used ice magic to put out the fires from the back seats and Astrid and Angela were on the ground helping as many people as they can and getting them to safety, on the west side Magnus with Mya, Jack with Eric were working in groups of two protecting the people meanwhile on the east and north side of Allura Dragon and Hela moved with purpose and with no intent to waste energy Dragon was putting out fires all across several city blocks using wind and water magic with terrifying effectiveness also healing anyone injured and told to stay put while he continued on and Hela with the same level of skill moved through the streets saving and healing people with plant and water magic by the end of day Allura was put out and those responsible were captured and detained That night all of Allura was talking about the heroes their magic wielding saviours with the leadership of Allura gone and the only other alternative being a madman who wishes to burn everything down so they began to look to the Arcane gang as their new leaders who reluctantly excepted the position knowing one important thing this wasn't over not as long as Malcolm was a threat so with the intention to ending the violence and ensure peace but they needed to make an alliance with someone who has little more experience in matters like this the king of Valaheim Orion Ironwood Dragon and Hela knew they had to reach Valaheim to ask for king Orion's help but they also didn't want to leave Allura undefended so they agreed to go just the two of them while the others stayed behind too protect the people of Allura and to get there quickly they took the Arcane craft and flew to Valaheim they reached in less than a hour and arrived to see the city on fire and it's people at the mercy of the cruel and violent Hela told Dragon to go ahead while she helped the people on the ground Dragon flew to the Ironwood palace using wind magic hoping it wasn't too late but when he busted into the throne room and saw Malcolm sitting in the kings seat. For a moment they just stared at each other Dragon at Malcolm with fiery hatred Malcolm at Dragon with the smugness of who believed he already won, Dragon broke the silence by asking a question he probably already knew the answer too but he asked it anyway Dragon: Where is king Orion? Malcolm: When I took control of Valaheim I needed to make it clear on who is in charge so he needed to go[Move his thumb across his throat to signify what he meant] Now then it's been some time since we last talked so I hope we can converse like two mature individuals Dragon wasn't interested in hearing anything else he had to say and he attacked rushing at him with lightning speed grabbing him by his throat but just before he could finish him Malcolm grabbed his wrist and froze him over with ice magic which surprised Dragon enough for Malcolm to escape his grip and when he Dragon broke out of the ice instantly and went after Malcolm who had his personal guards to slow him down while he escapes Dragon killed the guards before any of them could decide what next magic trick should try Dragon ran after Malcolm with the intention to kill him but somehow he just disappeared into thin air Dragon searches the palace looking for him but instead of him he came across the queen Orion's wife who looked broken not knowing what happened to her and not wanting to know, he asked her about children where they and she didn't answer she just cried first quietly than loud high pitched sobbing since she wouldn't let him touch her Dragon didn't know how to console her he just made sure she was secure and went looking for her and Orion's children even though he might already know the answer After regrouping with Hela they took the queen and all the people they could save the king and queens children were not found and Hela asked Dragon Hela: What do we do next? Dragon: What we can That answer was short but told Hela everything she needed to know they were going to fight this enemy and save as many people they can from the war but fight they needed to head back to Allura to turn it into a base of operation against Malcolm and his organisation
