The corpse continent series book 1: The boy named Dragon

The Arcane gang after their first encounter with the Antler people they decided to keep their magic capabilities a secret and hide their Arcane Craft to not startle the Antlers and when they came across another Antler village they parked their craft a distance and they walked the rest of way and when they arrived the Antlers were shocked to see humans but when they looked closer they saw these humans were young and looked like they have walked a great distance so with caution the Antlers approached them and searched them to see if they had weapons of any kind on them and found nothing of that nature and allowed them to stay for now After arriving the arcane gang were allowed to explained why they are here and Dragon told them "We are just explorers and we just wish to explore your land that's all." After hearing him out the Antler elders discussed whether or not to let them stay and came to a decision the elders told them "You will be allowed into our village if each of you agree to have an Antler soldier shadow you and make sure you. . . behave." Dragon responded "We agree to those terms." After successfully entering the village they all had personal guides to show them around and share what they know about their home one of the first things they were taken to see was a clearing in the forest where tapestries depicting the history of the Antlers one of these tapestries showed them in a heated war with humans and it did depict them winning and when asked this is what they said Thousands of years ago Antlers believed they were the only intelligent creatures in this world but that cahnged when they met humans at first they welcome humanity with open arms but humans quickly showed them humans don't come in peace most of their people were either killed or taken to be turned into pets but those who escaped came together to form an army. An army that marched on to the human kingdoms and took back their people and that was the start of the Antler human war, a war that lasted for years both sides were stuck in a stail mate the Antlers stubborn but adaptable nature against the humans creativity and savagery and tides only began turn in their favor when the humans began to turn on each other Wondering why they never heard of the Antler human war they had to remember this war was a thousand years ago and at that point every was at every other humans throat and with this new piece of information it's a safe bet that this era of strive was about the treatment of the Antlers and if that's true it shows that most humans were firmly against the enslavement of other creatures and considering all three cities Valaheim, Allura and Rahara have strict laws against slavery it's safe to say which side won in the end For the next few days they toured the Antler village learning so much about their culture and traditions one of their traditions was something they called the ceremony of connection a ceremony where Antlers on the verge of reaching adulthood are placed in a room where they would burn herbs grown and gathered from the bones of the Antler titan itself and when burnt the smoke produced would induced visions of their titan and even allowing them to speak to the great Antler titan itself and when they would come out some would be pretty much the same person that went in but some would come out noticeably different Hela found the idea of speaking with a titan intriguing but Dragon warned her "This is a Antler tradition I don't they'll let a human have any part of it." She knew Dragon was right but she also knew he was as curious on what it is like to speak to a titan as her so it was easy to convince him and the others to at least create a distraction for her to momentarily slip away and grab a small hand full of this herb and use it to speak to either the Antler titan or the titan humans were born from But the two of them made two amateur mistakes firstly they talked about their plan out loud secondly they didn't make sure they were alone and quickly realized it when one of the Antler guards incharge of them tapped their shoulders and both to them had the same thought "We're in trouble." but the guard told them "Don't worry I'm not going tell but don't try it alright or I will go your guards to your executioner." That was enough for them to abandon their plan During the next day Hela received something from her Antler guard and it was connection herb plucked from the bones of the Antler titan along with a note that read "You've been a pleasant guest and I don't want to watch you walk away disappointed." Hela put the herbs jacket and continue her day as usual but when night fell her, Dragon, Angel and Magnus decided to try their own connection ceremony while the others stood watch making sure they wouldn't be disturb and the four of them burned the herbs and breathed in the smoke and they fell backwards and began dreaming Each of them started dreaming the same dream and suffered the same problem they couldn't make sense of it there was fighting and fire, sounds of battle and pain and chaos, sensations of pain and numbness they didn't know if they seeing the Antler titans memories or the standing titans none of them were even sure what they saw belonged to the titan at all and believed the herbs Hela used were not the same ones that Antlers use in their ceremony so the next day none of them said anything about their ceremony until Hela received another note that said "If you fighting and fire heard sounds battle and chaos it worked."
