"What a wonderful world!" Magilou cried out as best as her weak, elderly voice would allow.
Her words were lost in the infinity of a magical space where two inhuman beings, whom simple-minded humans might easily call gods personifying light and darkness, eternally sated their hunger. And no one would have even doubted who was light and who was darkness, ignorant of the truth: it was precisely the darkness that saved them from the blinding, devastating light. And it was this "darkness" that had once awakened in Magilou the strength to fight to the last, strengthened her will, which had nurtured the boundless respect that still sustains her. In moments of weakness, she only had to think of Velvet to regain her fortitude and gain a second wind.
"And this world is your merit."
'And I can't even tell the truth…' she mourned.
The name Innominat had long since gathered dust, not having had time to truly take root in the minds of people of the distant past. It was mentioned only in a few ruins, and then only in passing. But if there was any information about it, Velvet remained a nameless Calamity.
"You know, I've found a good heir. I've already passed on to him all my knowledge about you. About us... About all the adventures I've experienced with you and without you."
Magilou smiled softly, reminiscing. Though much time had passed, the images of those years remained just as vivid. Special. It was then that she felt most alive. And after… time seemed to stand still, events that were insignificant to her soul turning into a monotonous lump.
"I'm lucky I made it before I broke my oath… But the funniest thing is, I didn't die right away," she laughed good-naturedly. Her strength was ebbing away, both quickly and painfully slowly. "I even managed to come here, even though I ordered my remains buried in a certain place. But I doubt anyone will find me here."
A faint smile never left her face, even as Magilou inevitably sank into darkness, losing the last of her life.
"So be it. My place is here…"
Magilou closed her eyes, surrendering completely to the welcoming darkness, surprisingly gentle and pleasant, like a mother's embrace, the value of which she could never appreciate in life. Nothing troubled her anymore: neither the past, nor the present, nor the future. Magilou was consumed by an eternal, serene peace.
