ㅤ The sound of the waves of the Quiet Nerifes was soothing. Moses and Jay lay on the beach at the old campsite, gazing at the whimsical sky. If not for the alien patterns, it might well have seemed real. Inside the Legacy, day and night existed, except for the weather, which was stable despite the perpetual clouds. The "sky" even displayed a reliable star map. Jay studied it while Moses simply admired it. He couldn’t understand why "stupid bandit" needed his company. However, surprisingly, Jay didn’t feel his usual irritation. Whether it was the calming sea’s influence, he didn’t know. And it didn’t matter. "And what did you want to show me?" Jay desperately tried to understand Moses’ logic, but their intelligence levels were too far apart. "Peace and quiet! Beauty and naturalness! You’re always walking around with a sour expression and hiding in your hole. Ever since the beautiful Grune said goodbye to us, you've become completely downcast…" "You should think about yourself first," Jay tried to shift the focus, feeling awkward from the uninvited sincere concern and the mention of something intimate. "You reacted to her hugs more strongly than anyone else, like a little child spinning in circles…" "So she’s the woman of every man’s dreams!" Moses jumped up in a burst of enthusiasm. "Literally a goddess!" 'I wonder if he was serious about literalness or if it just slipped out by accident?' flashed through his mind, lamenting Moses’ complete lack of understanding. "But isn’t it wonderful?" he suddenly calmed down, turning his gaze back to the "stars". He had no idea how the artificial sky worked, didn’t even try to think about it. He simply enjoyed the beautiful view. "Our ancestors were cool, weren’t they? To pull off something like that!" Jay remained silent. In a way, he even envied Moses a little. His stupidity allowed him to see more of the good, ignoring the other side of the coin — the victims. Truly, their ancestors were brilliant and technically well-equipped, but their actions… Not every sick mind would think of adapting a ship’s functions to a living resource. "Genius and madness often go hand in hand," he muttered thoughtfully. "Eh? What are you getting at?" "Because the view is really beautiful," Jay resigned himself. 'It looks like I’ll have to spend the night here tonight…' Falling asleep under the light of artificial stars was strangely pleasant. The Quiet Nerifes seemed to whisper a lullaby in its waves, the high "sky" didn’t oppress, and the stars and technology gave wondrous dreams. Though Jay would never say it out loud, he was grateful to Moses for pulling him out. This place cleared his mind of many dark thoughts… ㅤ
