ㅤ She was born from the Great Tree Derris-Kharlan. Thus, her fate was sealed… Far from her world, far from the long-dead Tree, she could not exist for long. Only the responsibility placed upon her for the souls of two fallen humans held her. And only she could judge whether the natives of Derris-Kharlan deserved destruction or rebirth. But whatever decision she made, the price was equally high—the remnants of her homeworld's mana within her body. A body that refused to fully accept the mana of the alien Tree, even though it had once been born from the seed of the Great Tree Derris-Kharlan. The Norn's birth was unnatural… Like a premature baby, Norn's body was weak. And she was gradually fading away before the girl's eyes, her heartache reflected on her face. It was hard for Rody to accept how everything connected to Dhaos was literally disappearing. Like the truth that only a few knew… 'Is there really nothing that can be done?' Rody clenched her teeth, unable to utter a word. Her eyes filled with tears, her heart bled. From helplessness. From pain. Even the ephemeral power over time, once granted by Dhaos, was meaningless. The Ring only intensified her suffering, prolonging hope only to crush it to dust. Rody had saved no one: not Dio, not Mel, not Norn… not Dhaos. There was nothing left of Norn, only crumbs of mana, mixing with the air, to vanish forever into oblivion. "Please…" she begged all the gods Aselia had ever known. And as if at her call, a bright spiritual light flared: she had to close her eyes. Martel appeared, absorbing the remnants of Norn: drops of Derris-Kharlan's mana and memories, making them part of this world. She couldn't bring the Norn back. Only preserve what little remained. But it was enough for Rody, quietly crying, to utter a choked voice: "Thank you…" ㅤ
