ㅤ Traveling with the Shepherd had given Alisha much. It allowed her to look into a world that she believed in with all her heart, but could not see. Sometimes, when she closed her eyes, she seemed to sense her—the reliable support of the Shepherd and her kingdom. A friend with whom she had once stood shoulder to shoulder. While the Shepherd lay in deep slumber, Alisha carried the fateful sword with her. As if to symbolize an unspoken oath: Alisha fought not only for humans, but also for the seraphim. She dreamed of filling the souls of her people with light, so that one day they would all be able to see the seraphim again. In the meantime, she trained her spirit. After all, how could she teach someone if she couldn't do it herself? Her duty was to protect her people. Alisha did this personally, making rounds and battling monsters that strayed too close to the city's borders or tried to block trade routes. Sometimes these battles were difficult. But she never gave up: she couldn't run away when she had her people at her back. She shouldered the needs of the entire kingdom, seeking support or aid from no one. Only her faith sustained her… The love of her people fueled her. In battle, feelings couldn't help her raise her weapon, or protect her from fangs and claws. But fire could. Exhausted, Alisha watched as the blazing fire burned the monsters to ashes. Her heart burned with this fire. She trusted this fire with her back, simply believing she was there. And now, for the first time, she saw with her own eyes, if not her herself, then her flame. Tears streamed uncontrollably down her cheeks. The danger was over: therefore, she no longer had the strength or will to restrain herself. Alisha still didn’t see her, but she felt encouraging touches, comparable to a warm wind. She tirelessly repeated: "Thank you… Thank you!" Alisha didn't have to bear all the burdens alone. She was always there for her. An invisible helper and protector, who had fulfilled her destiny and returned to her homeland, awaiting the next twist of fate that would call upon her to fulfill a new duty. In the meantime, she could help her dear friend. ㅤ
