Chapter 7 – Favorite or Dare In the class, the boys gathered and were playing a game called FAVORITE OR DARE. Alex rolled the bottle and it pointed at Destiny. Alex: Truth or Dare? Destiny: Dare. Alex: Okay, I dare you to slap Anna. Destiny: Oh my God! Anna: If you slap me, you will pay me for that one! (He slapped her but not hard.) Then everyone started laughing. Alex: Ok, Destiny, you’ve rolled it and it’s your turn. Truth or Dare? Destiny: Dare. Alex: I dare you to hug Winnie. Destiny: What? He walked up to Winnie and hugged her a little, then she smiled. It was Michael’s turn. Emma: Truth or Dare? Michael: Truth. Emma: Is it true that you are crushing on Winnie? Michael: Yes. The whole class was amused. Winnie: Real dream! Alex ran after Anna but found her outside looking at the sky. Alex: Hmm. Anna: You should go back and continue your game. (Crying) Then she left. Alex had a thought: (She is also human like everyone else. How could I have been so blind before? She’s brave, kind, and funny in ways no one else notices. Why do we treat her differently?)
