13. Encourage Me

Notes:
There’ll always be that person who truly believes in you, who’ll push you forward with the words: “Hey, don’t be afraid, I’m right here.” A person’s alive as long as at least someone believes in them, as long as there’s someone who can nudge them forward, pointing out the right path. Take care of your friends, your loved ones. It’s they who give birth to your dreams.

To gather all my will into a fist,
To surge ahead with daring thought,
And, for a reason deeply just,
Lay bare my essence, fools we’re thought.
And sail forever ‘neath blue flags unfurled,
To dream about a moon of pale light,
To drink our wine where flames have swirled,
And measure all we see in sight.
Push me along, my dearest friend,
Return my little hands to work once more,
For day by day my faith did bend.
That life of mine isn’t a glitch, a flaw.
Step onto paths of dream and joy,
Break free at last from every chain,
For rich the harvest we’ll enjoy,
When born of hope, not grief or pain.
You can, I know it, dearest friend,
And I can too; my faith’s renewed,
I’ll weigh my life with smiles I send
Within the tenderness of hands I knew.
Notes:
Sometimes I myself desperately lack the support of those close to me. I so want to be near them, to cling to them, to laugh, and then suddenly to cry, breaking down in tears. "I'm here, I love you…"
Let everything I've written be for those who can offer support, who can become a pillar, who can push someone forward.
Friends, this is for you.
And even if we don't know each other, I'm still glad that such people exist in this world: nice, kind, and honest.
Take care of yourselves.
