10. Where I Can?

Notes:
Sometimes there’s simply not enough patience or inner strength to finish the work.

Where can I find the strength I need
To finish up the work I lead?
And where should I be, where should I sail,
So drifting currents do not pale
All talent, stubborn will, and fire,
Or fresh-born sparks of new desire?
With whom should nights then pass and stay
To tame the rushing hours away?
And what’s the use of this my verse
If neither peak nor end emerges?
I long to join, to fuse as one,
To drink my strength till I’m done,
To step into a mighty fight,
Worthy of the crimson bright.
No need to rush or overheat,
The spirit’s not yet drained, complete,
And patience howls, yet still it brings
Another counsel tenderly sings:
“Listen close and work your trade,
Don’t be idle; choose your way.
You can do this, yes, it’s true,
Out there on the Internet, it’s you.”
Notes:
Looking for patience. The muse's present. More precisely, at the time of writing this verse, in the far-far year of 2013, they were.
