Chapter 14

Nico pulls Iris to his chest, frowning at her mother. “I know babe, but this is not your fault.”
“Yes, it is my fault because I wasn’t here to stop her.” Iris says, tears continue to roll down her cheeks.
Nico frowns, the anger practically radiating off of him because of how Iris’ mother is making Iris feel, but he keeps in control for Iris and Iris only. “It is not your fault, you can’t control what your mother does, all you have to do is sit there and be beautiful and pretty for me.”
Iris slowly stops crying, and she grips his shirt with her hands and says, “I love you.”
Nico pulls her tighter against him, his protectiveness and love for Iris flaring up, he doesn’t answer right away as he just lets the words sit there. “Say it again.” Nico says, finally.
“I love you.”Iris says and she looks up at Nico.
Nico looks down at Iris, Nico practically growls from trying to control himself from bending her over the counter right then and there. “I love you too, so damn much.” Nico says.
“You are holding yourself back, aren’t you?” Iris asks.
“Much more than I should.” Nico says, and he is trying so hard but his control is slipping away slowly.
“Then stop, there is no need when I want you as much as you want me.” Iris says, clearly very turned on right now.
“There is no way you could want me as much as I want you.” Nico says, because he knows there is no competition for that.
“Well maybe you should stop bragging about it and just kiss me already.” Iris says, tired of waiting.
Nico doesn’t wait a second later because right when she said that, something in him snapped. Nico kisses Iris hard and claims her with just his lips so far.
Iris kisses back with as much intensity as Nico is giving her. Iris pulls away though because her mom and the old man are watching.
“Mom and whoever you are should leave because I don’t think you want to see this.”
