Chapter 11

Nico frowns as he sees her cry. Nico hates seeing the woman he loves so much cry. He immediately pulls Iris into his arms and hugs her tight. “It’s okay, baby, shh,” Nico says softly in her ear.
Iris cries harder, and she can’t even believe she is crying over Nico saying something that everyone knows is true.
Nico pulls away, just enough to look at her. Nico puts his finger under Iris’ chin and lifts her face so he can look at her. Nico says, “Baby, why are you crying?”
Iris sniffles and looks at Nico, “I’m crying because you are saying these things no one has ever said to me.”
Nico looks at Iris and she cries harder. Nico frowns, “Baby, there is no reason to be crying, all those things I said were true.”
Iris looks at Nico, tears coming down her face, “That’s the reason I’m crying, it’s because what you are saying is true, and no one has ever said that before.”
Nico grins ear to ear, “Well you better get used to it, because I will be saying a lot more of things like that.”
Iris immediately stops crying and looks at Nico’s grin noticing his grin and she looks down and sees what is happening down in the gutter. She looks back up at Nico, and says, “Really?” She whispers in NIco’s ear so her mom doesn’t hear. “How are you that hard, when I was crying?” She asks curiously.
Nico looks at her, still grinning, maybe grinning even harder. “What can I say, you drive me crazy.”
Iris smirks at Nico, “Yeah, but I didn’t know I made you that crazy.”
Nico is full of smiles now. “It’s all your fault.”
Iris smirks and chuckles, “How is it my fault?”
Nico looks down at her lips and licks his own. Maybe he gets even harder, who knows. “It’s your fault because you drive me crazy and you make me think bad things about what to do to you.”
Iris laughs softly and looks down again. “Yeah, I can see that.”
Both of their heads come up as they hear moaning come from the other room. They don’t move towards the sound, they just listen.
