Chapter 1

It was a rainy day in Germany. Iris Hoffman was on her computer looking for jobs that she could apply for to get money. She wanted a little extra money because she was going on vacation in a few days, and she wanted to save up to get something cool as a reminder. She was on her computer when a random number appeared on her phone, and it was a text that said, “Hello.” Iris read the text, and she was very suspicious.
She texted back, “Who is this?”
The person said, “My name is Nico. What’s your name?”
“I’m not telling you my name until you tell me what you want.”
He says, a little frustrated, “Fiery, aren’t you?”
She groans, not liking him already, and she texts back, “I’m blocking you if you don’t tell me what you want.”
“I’m a mafioso, you should know what I want.” He says
She texts back, getting more and more frustrated, “I don’t know what you want, so tell me what do you want?”
When Iris texts Nico that, Nico stops texting Iris and puts his phone away. When Iris sees that he has left the message, she gets super frustrated and puts her hands over her face and just screams bloody murder. When she gets all of her screams out, she goes into the kitchen and fixes herself something to eat, because while she was screaming, she realized how hungry she was. She fixes herself a sandwich and grabs a bag of chips. While she eats her food, she hears a knock at the door. Iris gets really suspicious, and she gets up slowly and walks towards the door. Iris looks into the peephole and sees a random man standing outside her door, smirking like he wants something so bad that he will take it. She slowly opens the door and says, “Hello, who are you?”
The random guy looks at her like she is the one he wants to take so bad that he will take it. For some reason, he doesn’t answer, just stares at her like a piece of meat ready to be eaten.
