Phase 1: Fog. Chapter 1

Settings
"I’ll destroy them — destroy them or die trying." The cemetery was gloomy, drowned in a gray fog that filled the air. Each of Javier’s steps echoed with a heavy thud, like the sound of something falling, but this time he felt no fear or regret — only cold determination. He stood by his father’s grave, and every drop of rain that hit the ground seemed like an echo of his pain. Rafael Rodríguez hadn’t died from a bullet or a knife, but because his greatest enemies — the Order of Lightning — had bought those red diamonds, those fatal red diamonds that could have been his. Javier’s father had spent years searching for them, hoping they would help stabilize his business and strengthen the clan. They were his greatest hope, his last attempt to pull himself and his men out of the financial pit they’d fallen into. But the Order of Lightning took the diamonds. And with them — his life. When Rafael received the letter saying that the Order had bought all the diamonds and his gang was on the edge of bankruptcy, his heart gave out. He collapsed right there in his office. His heart stopped from the shock, from realizing that everything he’d worked for was gone. Javier remembered that moment. He had stood beside his father as he died, feeling the sting of betrayal. His mother cried; the doctors were powerless. No one could help. Javier felt as if the whole world had shattered. He lifted his head, his gaze fixed on the grave. No tears — only cold rage and resolve. "They’ll pay for this," Javier thought, and each word in his mind grew sharper, stronger. He wouldn’t let them live. His goal was clear — to destroy the Order of Lightning and its leader. If it meant giving his life, so be it. Those words became his vow, sworn there at his father’s grave. There was no room for doubt or regret anymore. War was coming. And it was inevitable. The rain didn’t stop. Javier stood beneath it, as if accepting the path laid before him. He wasn’t afraid. He was ready for everything. --- Sofia Reyland walked down the wide marble corridor of her deputy’s mansion — Luca Crane’s estate. The light from the grand chandeliers spread across the walls, decorated with paintings in golden frames. Everything here was elegant and luxurious — just like the Order itself. Her footsteps echoed in the silence of the corridor. But as soon as she approached the doors of the great hall, she heard laughter, loud voices, and music drifting through them. It was a celebration. Sofia opened the doors, and before her eyes appeared a large hall filled with members of the Order. They were talking, laughing, drinking wine — completely joyful. Luca, seeing her, rushed over immediately. “Sofia! Finally! We already started celebrating without you!” he exclaimed, raising his glass toward her. “What’s going on? Why are you celebrating?” she asked, still not quite understanding. Luca smiled, tilting his head slightly. “Guess.” He handed her an envelope sealed with the Order’s golden crest. Sofia looked at it, feeling a strange excitement in the air. She unfolded the letter, and as her eyes ran over the words, she froze. It was from the diamond seller — confirming that the deal was complete. The diamonds had been bought. She stopped for a moment; a spark appeared in her eyes. “The diamonds?” she asked, trying to hide her emotions. Luca nodded. “Yes. We’ve bought them successfully. They’re ours. Tyler has already found a few buyers ready to pay whatever price we name.” A wave of pride rushed through her. All the years of work, of fighting for the Order’s interests, had led to this success. All their efforts had finally paid off. “And now, we celebrate!” Luca added. Sofia nodded and looked around the room. Her friends were already dancing, laughing, and enjoying themselves. People raised their glasses, exchanging cheerful toasts. The feeling of victory that filled the air wasn’t just about the diamonds — it was about power. The Order was now stronger than ever. And just when everyone was fully lost in celebration, Maximilian, who stood in the center of the hall, suddenly jumped onto a chair and began to sing “Bella Ciao” — the song that had long become the unofficial anthem of the Order. His voice rang out loud and joyful, instantly drawing everyone’s attention. At first, there was silence, some looked surprised — but then someone joined in, then another, and soon the entire Order was singing together, carried away by that old yet powerful song. The Order was celebrating victory. “Celebrate, Sofia!” shouted Maximilian, leaping down from the chair, laughing. “We’ve won!” Sofia smiled. The air was thick with joy, and she felt a new surge of pride ignite in her heart. They danced and laughed, completely lost in that moment of happiness and triumph. They celebrated — unaware that Rafael’s son was already preparing to avenge his father’s death.
