Scars

Sunset had come to Fiore yet again and thus marked the end of another day of duty for Solana. It had been a fairly good day with a sudden mission that involved aiding a severely injured Venusaur and some Quests around Ring Town. A rather full day for the normally quiet town. Even with her Top Ranger status, she preferred to work out of Ring Town and under Spenser's directions with Lunick, but she worked out of the Union when necessary.
Her mood quickly dropped, however, when she caught sight of herself in the mirror. Tears formed in her eyes as she pulled her shirt off and saw the scars that crisscrossed her skin.
There was barely an inch on her back and front that didn't hold some sort of marking from the years of abuse she'd suffered. She ran her hands over her breasts and stomach, the roughness bringing up all of the worst memories.
It'd been four long years since she'd escaped the hell that had been her home. She'd healed quite a bit in that time, but she knew she would never be whole. The scars would always remind her of what she'd been through and the power her father held over her.
Her knees buckled and she slid to the floor, face buried in her hands as the tears started to flow. Why had she been cursed with such horrible parents? Why couldn't Arceus have had mercy on her as a child? Nobody deserved to go through what she had. She wouldn't wish that torture on anybody, not even Gordor...
