How can I trust anybody? It’s too hard to open up. Everyone will eventually just leave my life and leave me alone. Why have I gotten so close to the people of Oblivia? I know they’re all just going to leave me eventually. After the happiness of me saving their region wears off, they’ll forget me like everybody else.
Nobody in their right mind would truly care for me. I’m too broken and I push people away too much. Rand. Leanne. Nema. They treat me like family, but I know they’ll just all eventually betray me.
The only person I know that won’t is Ben, but sometimes I question even him. He’s so impulsive. What’s to say that his impulse won’t lead him to accidentally saying something wrong to me or saying too much to another person?
I just don’t know how I can trust anyone. It’s too hard. It hurts to shut people out, but it would hurt more to let them in and betray me.
