Chapter 1

My predictions for Season 2 of “Wednesday,” which turned out just as well as the first, not to mention the villains, interesting plot twists, and a couple of familiar actors. I’ll start with the villains.
As soon as the new director, played by Steve Buscemi, arrived, I immediately found him odd, especially his personality. Usually, it’s the seemingly good guys who later turn out to be villains, so I wasn’t surprised that this happened.
It was a different matter when I was surprised that he turned out to be the founder of the “Song of the Morning” cult. I’d thought Bianca’s future stepfather had created them, but no…
The second twist, which I couldn’t even imagine, is that the psychologist’s assistant from Willow Hills, Judy, turns out to be the daughter of the elderly man Tyler’s uncle was hunting. For half the season, my younger sister and I thought Billie Piper’s character was the daughter, but we were misguided. We never even considered suspecting Judy; we simply turned a blind eye to her.
So, without listing all the villains shown, we’ll talk about potential villains in season three. And we won’t be focusing on that red-haired, doll-like girl, Annabelle; she may be a bit quirky, but she’s a good person and won’t be a villain.
A potential villain is Grandma Wednesday! Although she’s shown as a loving elderly woman, she wasn’t particularly fond of her daughters, especially Morticia. It turns out she’s been hiding her youngest daughter in the house for twenty years. For some reason, she wants Wednesday dead, and Grandma is clearly trying to help her. Which is why, perhaps, this grandmother’s love for her granddaughter seems false to me.
Let’s move on to the possible reason behind Ofelia’s hatred for Wednesday and desire for revenge. The day before yesterday, after my sister and I finished Season 2, she was on Instagram and saw a short where someone suggested that Rowan is Ofelia’s son!
There’s little reason to believe this, of course, but what if this theory is true? According to Morticia, Ofelia disappeared twenty years ago, and it’s not necessarily that long; she was hiding in her mother’s house. Ofelia could have been hiding somewhere else first, met a man, fell in love with him, married him, and had a child, presumably Rowan.
Also, remember what Rowan said before Tyler took his life. He said his mother asked him to find a book containing a drawing of Wednesday and Crackstone. This drawing could have arisen from Ofelia’s visions, which she remembered and decided to capture as a drawing.
Additionally, let me remind you that the power of visions in Morticia’s bloodline is capable of peering into the past, sometimes even the distant future, the present, and the future. So, we’ll take this theory about Rowan and Ophelia’s relationship into consideration, as it could be true. It’s also one of the possible reasons why Auntie is trying to kill her niece, whom she’s never even met. Although… perhaps she misinterpreted some vision and thinks Wednesday is about to do something very bad, so she wants to stop her?
For now, the biggest question in my mind is only Enid’s problem. I’m very sad that my number two favorite lost her human form with no way to regain it. But I understand and respect her reason for sacrifice: she wanted to save Wednesday. The most upsetting thing is that Capri abandoned Enid to her fate and ran off with Tyler, without even considering following in Enid’s footsteps and helping her, like Wednesday.
That’s what I think about Enid’s situation: even though it’s said she’ll remain a werewolf forever, is that really true? What if there’s a chance she can return to human form? We might learn about that in season three, and even see Enid return as a human… We’re waiting and hoping.
As for Tyler, I think he might not appear again in season three. The reason I think so is that he’ll probably appear in season four, and not as a villain. The look in his eyes when they buried Wednesday hinted that he won’t be a villain. His gaze at that moment was full of doubt, clearly expressing that he didn’t want such a fate for Wednesday. And I also think he still loves her, even if just a little.
But these are just my thoughts. He’ll likely appear in season three and will still be a villain, since the sins he committed can’t be washed away and he still desires revenge on Enid.
We can only wait for season three, hoping for Enid’s return, the introduction of new faces, the revelation of Morticia’s sister and the Frump family secret about the raven. And, if they show Nevermore, we might see a worthy and sensible outcast as director, one who won’t scheme or weave intrigues.
