Chapter 1

Settings
After so many setbacks she had suffered from the members of the Paw Patrol, Sweetie just needed relaxation. And what could be more relaxing than a yacht trip on the quiet sea near Barkinburg on a private yacht? A small but fully automated white craft moved slowly across the waves, stirring the water with the blades of the propellers and leaving a foamy trail behind. Sweetie herself lay down on the stern mat, trusting the GPS navigator and relaxing under the warm rays of the midday sun. Sweetie left the green lemon in armor to guard the house and tell everyone that Her Majesty was away. So for a while Sweetie stopped worrying, stretching out under the sea sun, bleaching her fur even with a cool breeze. But gradually, her wandering thoughts still returned to her enemies. She couldn't even sleep. No matter what position the dog lay down in, sleep did not come, and as a result, Sweetie, almost scratching the rug with her claws, stood up. “How can I relax in a state like that…” She stood up, moved her paws and shook her head, flexing her muscles. Sweetie still had one idea - to sail to a small island that was a couple of miles south of Barkinburg. Overgrown with small vegetation, it was a great place to retire and come up with new plans. So Sweetie went to the control room and ordered the navigator to follow the designated course. Answering in an unnatural female voice that "The course is marked!", he steered the ship straight to the island. The dog's thoughts, looking ahead, immediately changed into a new way. Such an abandoned island would make a great new secret base, ideally secret even for the tax service. A palace could be built there... No, it's better not on the shore itself, but in caves or near, under water…. Nevertheless, secret bases were not worth boasting about. Captivated by this idea, Sweetie walked around the deck, looking for a place to observe her island in the best possible way, raised herself onto her paws and, placing her front paws on the railing of the bulwark, began to stare intently at the approaching land. There were no palm trees or sandy beaches on this island, just low trees and huge, uncut grass. But Sweetie liked such lovely places more, unlike resorts for poor people in colorful T-shirts and their dirty puppies. Therefore, as soon as the yacht reached shallow water, Sweetie barked at her to stop and jumped ashore. The little dog's paws sank into the water, which pleasantly touched the belly - strangely, Sweetie, who always watched her appearance, was ready to sacrifice her style of hair and hairstyle when she found herself in the water. Even now, she froze, enjoying the caresses of the water, and then turned around and looked around. What a beauty! The castle of Barkinburg is far, far away, so that you can't even sail without a ship, and here is her beautiful yacht bobbing on the waves, there is an island very close, and around there is water, water, just water! After thinking about it, Sweetie decided that on a day like this it would be nice to pay attention to water procedures - and went not to the island, but to the depths. Soon her paws stopped reaching the bottom and Sweetie swam, moving her paws so smoothly that she almost did not generate excitement. Her paddling was very quiet and drowned out by the faint surf on the shores of the island, and thanks to this silence, tranquility also appeared in Sweetie's thoughts, even the eternal annoying music disappeared. The coolness of the water wrapped around his body. Very pleasant sensations that cannot be achieved in spas, in a limited space... But it was possible to frolic on the sea! Huge spaces for personal freedom, both wide and deep! “So where is going to be my underwater base?" the dog asked cunningly before diving in. Taking in more air, Sweetie went into the depths, moving her paws faster and pressing her ears tightly to protect them from the water. A slight pain in the eyes couldn’t spoil the impression - the water turned out to be transparent and so clear that the dog could see the densely overgrown bottom from above. Fish swirled around the underwater rocks, corals and starfish bloomed, colorful sponges and algae were visible, mostly green, which grew in bunches and singly, were large and long, real underwater trees, or low, like grass. The nature below was just as beautiful as the one above, if not more - no need to spoil it either, it was better to leave it a private paradise. As beautiful as Sweetie herself, matching her grace. The underwater inhabitants didn’t know which villain had visited them, and did not feel like it, unlike enjoying the beauty and friendliness. The fish swam closer, sometimes touching the skin and adding others to the touch of the water, no less strangely fascinating. But Sweetie forced herself to forget about them. She was waiting for a reconnaissance of the area, and therefore she went straight to the underwater part of the island, in which her purple eyes saw a wide gap - a whole passage... Deep into the underwater part of the island. The perfect place - if it turns out that there is an underwater cave hiding behind this passage, then it is ideal for the role of a villainous hideout, from where Sweetie will definitely be able to do her business until she gets the moment and takes not only the throne and crown, but also the whole Barkinburg! Wisely returning to refresh her lungs, Sweetie breathed on the surface, looking around as if afraid that the island and the yacht would disappear. Thank goodness, nothing like that happened, and she could safely return to my plans. The dog turned upside down again, waving its hind legs above the surface, and ran towards the passage it saw, wide enough to let a small submarine pass. Clutching the stone walls with her paws, Sweetie looked ahead. She was afraid to see only darkness, but it turned out that the cave was overgrown with many phosphorescent plants emitting a bluish glow. Swimming forward, the dog admired the powerful stone columns, carved by nature itself, and supporting the ceiling of the cave - entwined with plants of a delicate blue color, they added light, highlighting the wide openings in the far part of the cave. Bubbling out a bunch of bubbles from her smiling mouth, Sweetie rubbed her front paws, standing upright and wagging her tail, which made her have to paddle with her hind legs to keep from spinning in place. A whole villainous cave! Only... So much water... And not a single one, not even a small air pocket. And they were necessary - Sweetie's very body felt the need to replenish her air supply. In the white breast, small sands scraped, demanding air... Or maybe Swetee doesn't need to pump anything out of these halls? Just bring her enemies here... And chain them here forever, to admire the beauty of the cave and their own bubbles. Imagining this, the female accidentally blew out a few more bubbles that began to rise to the ceiling of the cave. Clenching her teeth, the dog looked around. It was still possible to be patient - it was worth looking into the far part of the cave to make sure that there was no new hall opening there, which would have to be explored with suitable equipment. Having picked up a few plants with her paw, Sweetie began to paddle with the other three to the stone wall, in which mysterious passages were dark. These rounded cracks were already narrower, but not so much that they would not allow the puppy to swim into the small and dark hall. Thrusting forward a bunch of slowly fading underwater grasses, Sweetie pushed off from the stone arch with her second front one, helping with her back ones with slightly curled fingers. Something flashed in the far corner... No, a lot of things! Scattered coins, rotten chests, rusted sabers... Sweetie couldn't hold back the bubbles again because of her teeth bared in joy. Once upon a time, even before the rising of the water level, the pirates who lived in these waters had no worse taste for bases than Sweets! With a movement of her front paws, Sweetie swam up to the coins. What a beauty! She dipped her white fingers into the gold and began to turn and flip the coins, already imagining how to use them. Ignoring her lungs, which were insistently reminding her of the lack of air, Sweetie swam to one of the chests and slid the lid off. There was no limit to joy - the gems sparkled with a hypnotic brilliance! Sweetie, her paws and tummy quivering, plopped down into the thick of the coins, enjoying their coldness despite their hardness. Dropping the glowing leaves beside him, the dog turned over on the coins, rubbing against them and stretching. Then the body arched slightly from the heat, hitting the gold with its tail, jerking its hind legs and pinching its front nostrils. The stuffiness became clearer and compensated for the cold of the metal with its heat. Sweetie jerked in fright - damn, she was so caught up in the gold that she completely forgot about the air! So stupid! Rising abruptly, Sweetie suddenly screamed, popping a few more bubbles-the exit was so far away! She worked with her paws with all her might, guiding herself to the exit and feeling just an unbearable desire to inhale - even water, but inhale! Even in the convulsive strokes, the dog's thin body continued to be stroked by the dark water, swirling its mane and stroking its belly and thighs. And subconsciously, Sweetie continued to enjoy it, which scared the consciousness even more. Previously, smooth movements became jerky and slow, the body often stopped, just fluttering its paws, and then with double speed it rushed to the already close exit. The last stroke, strong but inaccurate, brought Sweetie to the arch of the passage, but, hitting her head painfully and releasing almost all the air with a long whine, the puppy flew back... She completely lost her bearings underwater and just turned around, scratching the cave walls with her claws and not finding a way out. Her heart was pounding at a terrible rate, and it bothered her no less than the sharp pain in her head, which was soon overshadowed by the burning sensation in her lungs, making it impossible for her to focus on saving herself. She didn't even have a thought of "How to get out" of this terrible situation - she just had one crazy desire to absorb the water into herself, to extinguish the fire that lived in her now! The endless ocean turned into a small, cramped box, a coffin in which Sweetie was immured alive. More blunt blows against the walls, which she inflicted on herself, knocked out the last air, forcing her to spin even harder, gradually falling to the bottom into a pile of coins. From Sweetie's side, she looked like a dragon on gold with a grin and fury, but unlike him, she didn't need a knight to defeat the beast... Sweetie was being taken away by the ocean itself, still gently stroking the darting paws. She desperately kicked her hind legs, trying to push away his ruinous embrace, but now she had no strength - the female's mouth opened by itself and took the first sip. Sweetie's eyes widened in horror, but her body seemed to rebel, and Sweetie surrendered her life to the sea. Choking, she whined desperately, kicking her paws in the water, rushing from side to side as the water poured into her lungs... Even after that, Sweetie still lived for a while, scattering coins in all directions, pushing them away with her paws or scratching with her claws. But then the sharp paw strokes became slow... And they just stopped. Only her eyelids and the corners of her snarling mouth were trembling.
