Soul and ages

Indonesia stood on the house roof. He looked at the city. He was thinking about his own things, about something that was slightly troubling him. He looked down.
«It's more complicated...» the guy thought sadly. «So much time has passed... that carefree childhood is no longer there.»
Indonesia sat down on the edge. He sighed. But he suddenly heard footsteps, and then someone sat down next to him. It was Timor.
"Hi, Indo! What are you doing here?"
"Well, I'm just thinking. You know, I'm already 16... and I understand how quickly time flies." Indonesia looked at the sky.
"Yes," Timor agreed.
"I... I'm afraid of growing up." Indonesia clasped his hands. He didn't want to talk about it, but he had to finish.
"Indo, it's normal. Don't be so nervous. But I don't think growing up is bad."
"I'm scared of the future! I don't know who I'll be and what will happen to me!" Indonesia grabbed his head with his hands.
Timor was very surprised. But he decided to support his brother. He hugged him.
"You're still a child, Indo. We're all children in our souls. And besides, I will always be there. We are brothers!"
"I... thanks, Tim." Indonesia smiled. "I hope you’ll really be there despite… uh…" the bicolor one looked away, confused.
"Indo, don't even try to talk about the past! I forgave you long ago!"
"I'm sorry. I'm afraid to hurt you again."
"Even if you do, I'm sure you'll apologize. Just control yourself and don't worry."
"I'll try."
"There you two are!" Brunei suddenly said out of nowhere. He approached the younger ones. "What are you talking about?"
"Bruno... do you feel like an adult?" Indonesia asked. He looked at the elder with hope.
"Oh, well... not really. I may be 20, but I feel like I'm 13." Brunei smiled. "I'm still cheerful, curious in places. Although when I was a kid, I thought that growing up was a serious thing."
"So... no matter how old you are, you will remain the same?" the red-white asked, surprised.
"Yes. Wait, why are you asking? Are you afraid of growing up?"
"Noo…" Indonesia smiled, a little nervous.
"Yes, he is. He doesn't know what will happen in the future." Timor said and looked away.
"TIM!" the bicolor snapped.
"Indo, I was afraid of growing up too. Every year it seemed to me that I would become a sad and quiet person, but I am still who I was! I don't pretend to be happy, on the contrary, it's hard for me to pretend to be sad!"
"Will I… will I also remain myself?" Indonesia put his hands on his chest.
"Of course. The main thing is, don't lose your soul." Brunei sat down in front of Indonesia and gently poked him in the chest with his finger. "Don't forget who you are."
"Yes. You haven't changed since you were 12. Stay the same." Timor said, smiling.
Indonesia lowered his head. He smiled and sighed.
"Yes. You two are right. I understood everything." he said.
"Great!" Timor hugged Indonesia.
"Okay, both of you go back. No need to hang around on the roof all day." Brunei said.
Indonesia chuckled softly. He stood up and, grabbing Timor by the hand, ran towards the exit from the roof.
"Oh, these kids," Brunei said, crossing his arms.
