They called me Beauty, called me Belle,
I was a sweet delight
I liked to read, I liked to dream,
But deep inside grew spite
This life just didn’t seem enough
I felt like I was trapped
I wanted freedom, wanted more
I knew that I must act
That grim old castle in the woods
Was like the nightmare spawn
Dark, almost covered by the roots
And never saw the dawn
But I felt something in my chest
This feeling was intense
I saw the castle and right then
It all was making sense
I went inside, inhaled the dark
The castle heard the roar
Now village people say I’m gone
The Beauty is no more
So now beware the mighty Beast
Its wifty, strong and free
I know how sharp-edged are its claws
’Cause this darn Beast... it’s me.
