Notes:
I always wondered what would happen if Bambi found his mother, but she was dead? The idea for Merya was inspired by the death of Mufasa in The Lion King.
Outside in the forests it was still winter. The end of February. Little by little, some green grass began to appear from under the snow. The doe and her baby went out for a walk to look for something to eat, when the spring grass began to sprout little by little and the mother found one in the field.
β Bambi! Bambi, run here! β the mother called her child to her and he ran. β Do you see? Fresh spring grass.
The baby was happy to see green grass again, that he immediately ran to eat it all, because he had been so hungry all winter. Only the mother was in no hurry and ate the grass little by little. Suddenly Bambi's mother sensed something and was distracted from eating. She slowly and suspiciously looked around, suspecting danger somewhere.
β Bambi, run into the thicket! β she said and the baby ran with his mother. More precisely, the baby ran ahead faster, and the mother was catching up. They jumped over a frozen river and at that moment a shot from a gun was heard. Fortunately, the hunter who shot missed and the deer and her son ran on. β Faster! Faster, Bambi! β the mother urges her baby through her breath and runs as fast as she can. Even the son tries to run as fast as he can. The baby turned his head back while running to look around, to see if his mother was running after him. β Don't look back, run, baby!
They continued to run and at that moment another shot rang out. Bambi, not paying attention to these terrible sounds, ran as fast as he could. This time he ran alone, and his mother was not behind him. The fawn barely managed to run to the den and hide there. He began to catch his breath and rejoice that he and his mother were saved.
β Did we make it? Did we make it, Mom? β he asks at the entrance, but there was no answer. Not even Mom's silhouette was visible. Bambi suspected that something was wrong. β Mom? β he asked, hoping that she would answer, but Mom did not respond. The fawn carefully came out of the hole and began to look around. Mom was nowhere to be found, and a new snowfall was falling from the sky. The baby did not believe that his mother was not here and he began to call her louder: β MOM!!! β but Mom still did not respond. Curiosity overcame his inner fear and he slowly walked through the forest, looking around and calling his mother: β MOM, WHERE ARE YOU???
The unfortunate fawn did not want to give up and believe that his mother had left him alone. He continued to run through the forest, looking for his mother and screaming, but she still did not respond. The baby screamed and called her, almost losing hope and was ready to cry, that he even lowered his scream to a quiet half-scream. But what is it? He comes out into the clearing from where he and his mother ran out and sees someone's silhouette lying in the snow. The fawn's eyes bulged and his mouth opened so much that he was in shock from what he saw. After about ten seconds, he recovered from the shock and very slowly approached the lying body. After examining it, he saw that it was a doe. But not just a doe. It was her - his mother. But she was lying in the snow with her eyes closed and not even breathing. Bambi came even closer to her in order to examine her and did not believe his eyes that it was her. However, he did not understand why she was lying there and not waking up?
β Mom? β he turned to her, but she did not even move her nose. She did not even open her eyes. β Mom, get up! β he asked his mother, but she did not wake up and did not get up. The fawn came even closer and tried to lift her head with his head. β Well, get up! β but even so, she did not wake up, and when Bambi removed his head, the fawn's head fell to the ground and continued to lie. β Mom! β he did not want to believe that she did not hear him and had probably fallen asleep forever. Raising his front hooves, he touched her neck with them and gently shook her, trying to wake her up. β Well, mom, let's go home!
His attempts to wake her were useless, she still did not wake up. Bambi did not want to give up and even grabbed his mother's left ear with his mouth, trying to pull it, to no avail. Suddenly, he walked around his mother and saw a little red snow next to her body, which was small compared to the white. The baby gasped and was again shocked by the horror he saw. His mother was fatally wounded in the side and was bleeding. He could not believe that his mother was dead. Having recovered from the shock, the fawn began to breathe nervously and look around. Having run a little further, he screamed at the top of his lungs:
β HE-E-E-ELP!!! β he screamed throughout the forest, but only the echo, only the echo screamed back at him. β HE-E-EY!!! SOMEONE!!! PLEASE!!! ANYONE!!! β except for the echo, no one responded to the poor baby and he, in despair, began to cry and quietly muttered under his breath: β Help!
The baby, all in tears of despair, goes to his mother's corpse again and lies down next to her, putting his head under his mother's head, continuing to cry and was even ready to fall asleep with her forever. About half an hour later, the Great Prince of the Forest himself comes. He himself was shocked by what he saw and could not believe it. Bambi opens his eyes and sees his father. The Great Prince of the Forest himself was in despair and sighing heavily, he says:
β Your mother will not come to you anymore ... Forgive me ... It hurts to realize, but she died. β After hearing this, Bambi was ready to cry again. β Don't blame yourself, it is not your fault. β The baby stopped crying and looked at his father, and he gently removed his mother's head from Bambi's head with his head. β Let's go, my son!
Without further ado, the fawn obeyed his father and followed him. On the way, he turned around for a moment to look at his dying mother at least one last time. He could hardly hold back his tears. Then he followed his father further.
Notes:
It's really sad. If anyone cried, give them a thumbs up.
