II. Snowy dream

Touching with her frozen fingers,
Squeezing the throat with the wind,
She will embrace me with tenderness
Calming down my raging mind.
Unconquered and proud empress
With auroras she royally flares.
She doesn’t accept any weakness,
And she doesn’t tolerate tears.
There are her own interdictions,
Direct rules and rigorous laws.
Though in her snowy, calm kingdom
She’ll accept you with any flaws
But only if you do deserve it,
If you’re bold, invincible, brave.
She will help you as her only child,
And with her you will be safe.
In the ringing quiet of spruces
While I’m drowning in the snow sea,
“Sleep tight, sleep dreamless, my child”
Taiga will murmur to me.
And when my body’ll be found,
They’ll understand and esteem:
Taiga me presented that calmness,
Burred in my snowy dream.
Notes:
It’s one of my favourite poems actually, because it is full of love and admiration towards nature and place, where I grew up
