Let’s stay silent about the friendship we once knew,
When now we stand as enemies, cold and askew.
Let’s quietly whimper in the corner, out of sight,
For we are foes now, lost in this endless night.
I don’t want us to be enemies, it’s true,
But it seems you don’t care—your heart withdrew.
You betrayed me, and now everyone’s turned away,
Maybe it’s my fault? I question every day.
Let’s not speak of the laughter we used to share,
Of the bond that’s now broken beyond repair.
You set me up, and I’m left here alone,
Like a shattered tree, its roots overthrown.
I don’t want this war, this bitter divide,
But you walked away, leaving pain inside.
The silence between us is a wall so tall,
Echoing memories of when we had it all.
Let’s stay silent, not reopen the wound,
Leave the past buried, where it’s entombed.
