Long live, my marginal brother

Long live, my marginal brother,
Whose carnival I used to come to strange!
I would like to say two phrases to you:
Thank you and forgive me.
Thank you for showing
What people are actually like,
For showing me from the outside
And your unpure, dark nature.
I did not know copper from gold,
Blindly believed in your goblin tales,
Until you explained to me
Where the truth was and where sarcasm.
Yes, I would have to say it anyway,
My people are not mine,
And I cannot find a place with them.
It's much easier for me to run away to strangers,
To the fake world, and complement it.
They warmly welcome me in it.
That is the only place I can open up.
However, that's why it's fake,
That not everyone is always truthful there.
I agree, I was not pure.
I had spouted drivel.
But I was honest to everyone,
Not knowing that there was no need in it.
You only told me secrets
In our dirty, cozy corner.
I accepted them with trepidation
Into my safe chest of memories.
Forgive me for the words
That I had foolishly said to you,
For all those follies that,
Fortunately, did not go too far.
I am writing this letter in secret
From the beast that was summoned to protect me.
Someday you and me will come to the carnival.
I will see you, my marginal brother!
