O’er the pouring rain of dawning
I still recall thy smoldering gaze…
Let mem’ries fade, let life be dying,
Love won’t be lost without a trace.
Let blood be shed, let breasts be groaning,
Let air be full of human’s fears…
Let me be dead by dazzling morning,
All I’m afraid of is thy tears.
Let angels fall, let life be sorrow,
Or let the lane to heaven shine.
Let day be bleak, destroy tomorrow,
My love to you is still divine.
Reave all from me, let lands be hollowed,
Reave all my fields, don’t leave a seed!
Though if my hands were holding this world,
I’d lay it down beside thy feet.
