Chapter 1

Settings
The sun has set, we stand by the glass, I smoke my pipe, while you sip your drink, The atmosphere's heavy, the moments can pass, Yet with friends together, we never can sink. We poke each other with fingers and cups, Cigarettes whisper of stories long past, Laughter erupts, no grudges erupt, Three little letters: a joke that will last. We’re true to each other, though life is a fight, But a sudden divide leaves our hearts in a whirl. You walked away, I followed the night, My nervous breakdown, like flags in a swirl. In my phone, I type "I'm sorry" in vain, Yet the words can't find freedom, they're bound in despair. My heart feels the embers, it's burning with pain, Only shadows remain of the love that we bare.
