Chapter 1

We have grown fond,
And therefore no more bond.
By the will of God, it has gone,
And therefore no more feelings at dawn.
Time has changed us,
Nothing will be the same,
Forgotten memories. Thus,
I no longer recognise thy name.
Thou art gone, long, long gone.
Months passed in a quiet but swift storm,
Had I not prayed and prayed,
I would have not realised what I was upon.
Hence, ’tis a sign to transform.
Now, all is a fade, supported with faith.
Then came a glimpse—a familiar face,
Nay! “’Tis a stranger.” I miss thy grace.
With that sight, I then felt a wraith.
The Pain, the Love—it could not last.
By the will of God, I let thee go.
Time's brought me to this shore,
Where thy name stirs me no more.
