Chapter 47: We’ll Be Together ‘Till Death Do Us Part
April 8, 2026 at 8:00 AM
Notes:
I promise, it’s almost over. There are only three chapters left. Three chapters before the book gets marked complete. I actually don’t have so much to say about this part, so this post will be short. As I mentioned earlier, this chapter is about our lovely lovebirds, who will finally celebrate their wedding, bringing joy to their families, who can now exhale with relief, knowing that their dearest people won’t be alone anymore and will make their own families. This time, I’m sure that these couples are getting married at the right moment. Not because of their families' pressure, but because they truly want to…
By the way, here’s a little fact: wedding scenes are probably the biggest in the entire series, since they involve the biggest number of people – both mentioned and not. In this chapter, some characters from previous books will return. These are the ones who were kind of forgotten by both the characters and the author, who just couldn’t figure out how to feature them in the story. Many moments had to be shortened and described in just a couple of sentences. And I also added a scene that briefly brings us back to the conflict between the lead male character and the antagonist. At first, I only wanted to mention a bit of information from it, but somehow it grew into a full scene – a little sad at the beginning, but sweet enough closer to the end.
The guests start coming to the right place, greet those who are coming here, and talk about the forthcoming wedding at a truly picturesque place, enjoying the warm sunny weather. Everything around silently hints that photos taken at this place can be really perfect. Many trees, bushes, and flowerbeds… Highlands that can be seen from afar. There are many white chairs on the two sides for all the guests, while a white path is placed near two rows, the edges of which are framed with roses of different shades of violet. After taking some distance from it, you can come to a high wedding arc made of the same flowers of white and violet shades that Natalia and Raquelle’s bouquets have. And there are small boxes with the same flowers near the edges of the arc. While some part of the territory is given to places for the guests who want to walk and talk to each other.
The grooms and their company are already here and are impatiently waiting for the brides, who are still on the way, along with their company. For example, Edward does not shorten the time by talking to his friends standing and talking funnily aside. He greets those who come here. For example, he is now talking to Christiana and Violetta, who recently arrived here, and he meets the little daughter of the latter one, named Shannon, who literally charms the groom thanks to her amicability and cute smile. Meanwhile, the spouses Amelia and Raphael Sanchez are talking to Rebecca, Jamie, Victor, and Lydia. They also have the pleasure of playing with the Sanchez spouses’ daughter, named Hailey, who is holding her mother’s hand and having an interest in watching these men and women, who are so nice and sweet to her. Later, Edward and Terrence come to them and greet Amelia and Raphael warmly, just like they do toward those who arrive here. The spouses introduce them to their daughter Hailey, who looks at the similar at first sight siblings with interest and says something that is hard to understand since she pronounced her first words some time ago, as the Sanchezs say.
There is also Steven Appleby, a famous enough photographer, who could not miss such an important event as the wedding of his close friend Raquelle. He accepted the girl’s invitation with pleasure and is now talking with his familiar people and getting introduced to those he does not know yet. Besides, there is also Delancey Spellman, with whom he arrived here. Some time ago, they had a romantic relationship but decided to break up and remain friends, as they had been before they started an affair. And they are really friends. They talk well after their breakup, which was not easy, and spend a lot of time together. And they no longer remember what they call something that should not have happened.
Meanwhile, Christiana and Violetta introduce little Shannon to all the friends and brothers of the grooms. They all accept the baby very warmly, but Terrence shows a greater love for her. He has great pleasure playing with the little girl, while his brothers and friends are standing aside, talking about something funny with each other and other guests, and watching what’s happening with a slight smile. There is Scarlett Marshall, Helene’s grandmother, who accepted Natalia’s invitation and went to the wedding with pleasure. She greets all the men, learns something from Peter, and caresses the head of Sammy having fun as he gets love for this place and running here alone or with the little children being delighted by everything around them. Scarlett is wearing modest clothes and gives up on the other women because of her simple long skirt and shirt with a flower print. But she gets compliments from the MacClifes and the Johnsons, and the Sanchezes, whom she gets introduced to. And she also congratulates Edward and Terrence on the wedding and gives them a compliment about his irresistible appearance.
The brothers themselves keep greeting the guests and accepting their warm words of congratulations, walking slowly on the entire territory, talking about something, and seeing everyone go on different sides, and they try to meet everyone who comes here. They pay attention to Sammy playing with Hailey and Shannon, while they are in view of their mothers. Raphael, Victor, and Jamie are talking about something and laughing shyly. Rebecca and Lydia are talking with Christiana, looking at her with sadness in their eyes, listening to her closely, and caressing the woman’s shoulder softly. It makes Edward and Terrence recall the therapy of Christiana’s daughter, who, as they know well, is seriously ill and getting expensive therapy. But they cannot find the courage to ask the woman about it because they do not want to make everybody’s mood worse and hurt the servant of the older of the MacClife brothers, for whom it has been by far not the easiest life test.
However, the guys quickly get rid of these bad thoughts and keep smiling slightly as they watch the guests, among whom there are still no Natalia and Raquelle, their friends, and their families. And they see Benjamin, Kevin, Ryan, Blake, and Christopher are standing on one side, being funny. And Joseph and Cody are standing on the other side and talking with Jeremy and William.
“Hey, where’s Peter?” Edward asks. “I haven’t seen him for a long time!”
“No idea,” Terrence shrugs. “He kinda disappeared in the air after we came here.”
“By the way, I can’t see Daniel anywhere, either.”
“Indeed… Where are these pretty boys? Where are our best men?”
“No idea!”
“Let’s walk and ask the people?”
“Oh… What do we do while the brides are on the way?”
Edward and Terrence start walking in circles on the entire territory in search of Daniel and Peter, who are really kind of swallowed by the ground. The guys also ask several people they meet on their way, but everyone says they know nothing about the guys and have not seen them for a long time. But they also wonder where the groomsmen are at such an important moment when the wedding ceremony is about to start at any moment.
Meanwhile, Peter himself is not too far from the wedding ceremony place, walking in the woods and singing quietly a song that he somehow wrote when he had nothing to do for fun. He comes slowly to the wide wooden bridge and leans on the railing made of the same material with his elbows. He spends some time watching the wide river under the one, admiring the beauty of this quiet place. The light wind blows up his face nicely and shakes the leaves on the sticks of trees, and the lazy flow carries the water into the unknown. A quiet singing of birds flying above the head pleases a human’s ear nicely, the sun’s spots reflect on the water and get attention on them, and white, puffy clouds run over the bright blue sky rarely. Even if it makes the guy smile shyly, there is something that makes him feel sad even on this amazing and beautiful day. Something he does not want to talk about, at least now not to make anyone’s wood worse.
Peter is not afraid to miss the beginning of the ceremony since he can hear the voices even if they are several meters away from him. He is sure he will come back before the brides are ready to go down the aisle. So, the guy is not restless, and he keeps singing the song to cheer himself up as he enjoys the wonderful view that helps him feel calm, which he has lacked all his life. And flashes a slight smile when a bird flies by him, and then watches a little butterfly flying in circles before his nose. At some moment, Rose reaches out his index finger, on which it lands, moving its gorgeous wings slightly with unusual patterns. It literally listens to the lyrics of the song he sings much more confidently, in a much louder voice on high notes, and claps its wings along with the rhythm. But when the guy finishes singing, it rises in the air again and flies to do its business, while the blond himself smiles much wider. But two moments later, he sets his sad eyes on the river, imagining that the flow of it carries away all his anxiety, fears, and bad memories.
Peter gets so busy with this thing that he does not notice that someone’s steps get closer at some moment. The soles of someone’s shoes knock quietly against the wooden bridge he is standing on now. When the sounds get loud enough, he moves his eyes aside and sees Daniel getting closer to him and deciding to come to his friend after noticing him standing on the bridge all alone.
“Yo, bro, here you are!” Daniele exclaims. “I’ve been looking for ya everywhere. But then I hear someone singing. And I understood where to go.”
“Did the brides come?” Peter asks.
“Not yet. But I think we won’t have to wait for too long.”
“I’ll come back when they come. I can hear the guys’ shouts and the girls’ whoops from here.”
“By the way, the song is cool, I liked it. I’ve never heard it, though.”
“I wrote it recently when I had the fuck nothing to do. For one and a half hours. And created a simple melody on my computer.”
“Really cool! And the words touch my nerve.”
“A so-called anthem of self-acceptance. The acceptance of my pain. My demons. My past. All that remains.”
“Here’s another confirmation of you writing songs much better than all of us in our band.”
“Glad you liked it.”
“By the way, what are ya doing here all alone?” Daniel leans on the railing with his hand. “Some people are asking where you disappeared.”
“Just wanted to think a little and walk.”
“You have problems? Something happened?”
“Nope, it’s okay,” Peter flashes a slight smile. “I just liked this place. Wanted to stand and watch.”
“Maybe something happened?”
“Don’t worry, Dan, it’s okay.”
“Don’t tell you’re gonna jump from this bridge and kill yourself by drowning in the river.”
“No, no, bro, relax. I ain’t gonna kill myself.”
“I dunno… Maybe your imaginary friend is giving you some ‘good’ orders again.”
“Oh, no, he hasn’t come to me for a long time.” Peter leans on the railing with his elbows and sets his eyes into the distance. “Since the day I recalled what Garret did to me. I look around all the time, but I don’t see him anymore.”
“Maybe it doesn’t make sense now?” Daniel assumes and leans on the railing with both hands to watch these views. “Everything is kinda okay. Things got better, friends are near, you know the truth about your past…”
“You think he’ll be back? Come back if I have problems again? If I stay all alone?”
“Well… If you ain’t gonna pretend to be a proud and independent guy who needs the fuck nobody… Maybe Theodore will not come back to you anymore.”
“No-o-o-o-o… I don’t wanna pretend that I can get through anything all alone. If I don’t have anyone by my side, I’m gonna go crazy. I am nothing and nobody without my close people.”
“It won’t happen, Pete, don’t worry,” Daniel encourages with a slight smile, clapping Peter on the shoulder. “We’ve said you’ll be our close person, no matter what kind of pain in the ass you are.”
“It’s amazing that I got one more chance after everything I’ve done. After I acted like a fucking bastard.”
“Listen, buddy, why did ya decide to think about it? You didn’t kinda say a word about it, but now you’ve got a lousy face again, and you’re busy with dark thoughts.”
“Don’t pay attention. It’s alright.”
“And you know, blond, honestly, I noticed that you haven’t been yourself since the morning. You kinda smile and joke, but your eyes are kinda sad. As if you ain’t happy with the guys’ wedding.”
“Of course, I am happy,” Peter smiles sadly as he fingers over. “Very happy.”
“Something obviously bothers you. Am I right?”
“It doesn’t matter/ We can talk about it after the wedding ceremony.”
“When the case is about our close people, we care even about the smallest things.”
“Give a fuck, Daniel, I am alright.”
“You can say it to me only. If you want, I’ll say nothing to anyone.”
“Let’s do it later. I ain’t wanna whine and make the wood worse.”
“Are you chased by a random bastard again? Or you got problems with Helene?”
“Nope, Helene is okay.”
“What’s wrong then? Why are you so gloomy?”
“Oh…” Peter exhales sharply with closed eyes. “Nothing’s wrong… I just received a call from Mr. Johnson in the early morning and was told some news.”
“Which?”
A short silence settles for some time before Peter moves his sad eyes to Daniel and says quietly:
“Marcus’s dead.”
“Marcus?” Daniel rounds his eyes. “Your father?”
“Yup. Last night.”
“Whoa… But why?”
“Didn’t handle the second heart attack. Mr. Johnson said Marcus collapsed last night. He was rushed to the hospital, and they tried to save him, but their effort didn’t work. The doctors pronounced him dead at 7:32 AM and informed the staff members of the prison where that man was.”
“Had he had a heart attack before?”
“He had. But he was saved. And the first heart attack happened some time ago. And he got a second one last night.”
“So, he didn’t show up on his first hearing for all his crimes…”
“He didn’t. But he paid for them by dying, after all.”
“It’s deserved, I wanna notice.”
“And the most interesting is that his brother died last time too.”
“His brother?”
“Yes. Due to his schizophrenia, Felix was held in a mental hospital where Marcus went regularly. He said they had a good relationship, and his brother was always happy with his visits. But when Marcus was arrested, Felix kinda started to go crazy. His illness got worse – no cure helped. He even tried to seriously harm one of the nurses, who tried to inject a sedative into him. And during one of these attacks, that man even stabbed himself with a knife. He didn’t magically make a hole in my gurney – the wound wasn’t deep but fucking close to something fatal.”
“And why did Felix die?”
“Death was actually unintentional. During another hallucination attack and aggression, Felix killed himself when he fell outta the window of his room on the fifth floor. The doctors called an ambulance immediately, but it was too late – the head trauma and many fractures weren’t compatible with life. Felix died instantly. I would even say that he didn’t suffer.”
“Mr. Johnson said?”
“He checked the information about Marcus’ brother, whom he mentioned all the time. And watched him for a long time. As far as I know, Marcus tried to get permission to visit his brother several times. Like, Felix needed him. But it was always declined. Even if he’d gone with the police.”
“You said they were twins…”
“Yup, as Marcus said.”
“Is the theory about the close connection of twins real? Felix died, and Marcus passed away…”
“Yeah, there’s something about it. Felix died first, somewhere at 5:00 AM. And in two hours, the time of Marcus came.”
“And when’s the funeral?”
“After tomorrow. In the morning. They’ll be buried next to each other.”
“You’ll go?”
“I dunno, I’ll see. Maybe I will. To split at the grave of that bastard. When nobody’s around.”
“So… Anyway… I think Marcus is fucking happy to reunite with Julia. They’ll always be together now. Nobody will separate them.”
“Right. He no longer has to think about her. And dream of killing me because I allegedly killed her.”
“And…” Daniel scratches the back of his head. “You wanna say that’s what made you upset? Are you so gloomy because of the death of your father and uncle?”
“Anyway, I can’t be indifferent.”
“Seriously? Is it okay that this bastard tried to kill you? Kill his own son? And he almost killed your girlfriend! If something hadn’t clicked in the head of his accomplice, Helene would’ve been dead. It doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have tried to do it even if your mother had been alive.”
“I know, Daniel.”
“Sorry, Peter, but I don’t really understand why you’re so upset. Yes, he’s your father, but you didn’t know him. And he’s a fucking bastard! A fucking psycho, who loved his wife more than his own child. Though… I ain’t sure if his love for Julia wasn’t sick. What if that was some kind of dependence.”
“Oh…” Peter runs his hands over his face with a slow exhalation. “The case is not about his death. I… I am even happy he died. I really am! Glad that bastard paid for all his tricks.”
“But what made you upset then?”
“I’m upset because of something different… Because I stayed all alone, for sure.”
“You’re not alone, dude! You’re surrounded by many cool people, who you can always ask for help.”
“I mean my family. My blood family. I don’t have anyone now: no father, no mother, no grandfathers, no grandmothers… Nobody! I am literally an orphan!”
“I completely understand you, buddy. I don’t have literally anyone, either. I only have Cassidy from my family. That’s all!”
“You have at least someone. But I have no one!”
“I know, it’s really sad!”
“Yeah… I know I’ve technically never had a family. I was growing up with a strange woman who gave a fuck about me. But… Anyway… It’s kinda… Sad to realize it.”
“Didn’t you kinda understand it before?”
“Nope, honestly…” Peter pronounces thoughtfully and moves his eyes to his hands. “I didn’t think about having no family. I mean… I didn’t take it too seriously. It was just a fact to me.”
“And now you suddenly realized it?”
“I’d say so. Moreover, I recently found the place where Cornelia was buried. She really died. Last winter. The cause of death was extreme hypothermia.”
“Wow… How did ya do?”
“Mr. Johnson helped. He told me that Cornelia really died.”
“You asked him?”
“He suggested that he find out everything, but I didn’t refuse.”
“And will you check on her grave?”
“I will do it for her. Maybe I will even request a reburial. So that she has a normal grave at a normal cemetery. She was buried in a random place that you can barely reach… Cornelia wasn’t holy, but she couldn’t be called a bitch. And I am kinda grateful to her. Who knows what would’ve happened to me if not for her. I wouldn’t have been standing here and talking to you.”
“Did ya forgive her? Forgive her for everything she did to you?”
“I’m in the process, so to speak. And I actually wanna forgive everyone who’s hurt me. Just to live well. To get rid of the heavy burden that almost dragged me to the deepest hole.”
“Wise decision. It’s gonna be hard. But if you do this, your life is really gonna get better.”
“It’s finally time to let the past go and move on. What’s done is done. I’ve gotta live with what remains. Hatred and anger would make it worse for me only. I’d stand on the dark side and stay all alone. Though I don’t want it. I don’t wanna lose what I barely kept safe.”
“You can do this, buddy.” Daniel hugs Peter by the shoulders. “Since you really want it, it’s gonna be easier for you.”
“Since my time in this world isn’t over yet, I need to use the moment. Even if I don’t have anyone from my family. Even if I spent many years without those who would help me survive the hurricane.”
“It’s not the first case, Pete. Many people don’t have anyone from their family. Someone dies, someone leaves, and someone doesn’t know you… Anything happens. And actually, life often treats us in an unfair way. Evil people may bully even the most innocent people.”
“I guess… I just need time to accept it. Accept the fact that I don’t have a family at all.”
“You know, I’d rather have no family than one like yours. Everyone’s sick, everyone’s got sins, everyone’s hurt by people and life.”
“Don’t I differ from them?” Peter glances at Daniel sadly. “I am actually the same! I am ill to some extent. I mean, I am sick! As Marcus said, I got a collection of all the illnesses that my relatives had.”
“Well… You one hundred percent don't have schizophrenia, unlike your uncle. You aren’t a part of those who aren’t lucky to get this shit.”
“But I am a part of those who tend to suicide, depression, crimes, and self-rejection.”
“It’s all mostly acquired. Under the condition of the social environment and the education style. If you’d been growing up in a good and loving family and living in a healthy environment, nothing would’ve happened. If you beat a child all the time, never praise them, and demand something impossible from them, they eventually become a heartless bastard or a broken person, who would think they must deserve to be praised.”
“Oh, dude, I am sometimes fucking jealous of you…” Peter sighs tiredly. “Jealous of your strong mental health. You didn’t bend under everything that’d happened in your life. You didn’t break when you stayed all alone. You braced yourself and kept moving on.”
“Because I had a loving family. Yes, I can’t say I had everything, but I always knew I was loved and respected. Even if I was sometimes devalued and tried to shower with mud, I handled all of that. Because I loved myself. I appreciated myself. I knew I was better than all of this shit that wanted to shower me with mud.”
“You’re really awesome. I do admire you. Admire the fact that you didn’t stand in the wrong way. You didn’t put your stress down with drinks and didn’t take drugs.”
“Even if you stand in the wrong way, it’s never too late to turn back and choose the right one,” Daniel replies with a slight smile. “Especially when you have many people who are ready to help you with it.”
“I know.”
“Hey, bro, why did ya break?” Daniel wonders and takes Peter tightly by the shoulders, while the blond inclines his head and watches the river flowing. “Today’s such a cool day, but you think about something that’s not worth it.”
“Sorry about making your wood worse with whining.”
“Listen, if you’re worried about Marcus’ death, I am really sorry for you. And I am truly sorry about you having no family. I know what that is. Because I got through it when I thought Cassidy was dead.”
“I dunno, maybe you’re right… Maybe it all isn’t really worth worrying.”
“Anyway, I completely understand it and don’t devalue your feelings. I understand you… Need to get through this.”
“Oh, buddy, I don’t the fuck understand why I care about it so badly,” Peter sighs tiredly. “Who cares if Marcus died or not? Nothing changed after that! Just like nothing changed after I found out that he was my father. I didn’t get a family. I didn’t get a loving family. I was alone, and I still am. And my father wasn’t looking for me to get along with me, just like Mr. MacClife wanted to do with his sons. He wanted to kill me. Kill me at the thought that Julia, my real mother, died.”
“I think you should really wait for some time and get through this shit. Maybe someday all of this will not make you feel any emotions.”
“Maybe… But I surely know that I won’t be indifferent to one thing: to the evil things I did to other people. Those I’ve harmed against my will.”
“The important thing is that you regret it all and are ready to get a punishment if you’re pressed to the wall someday.”
“I am really ready for this. And I’d be happy to meet all my victims and apologize to them. I know the damaged hearts and souls won’t be healed with words. But… I’d feel much better if I looked into the eyes of someone and said, ‘I’m sorry about ruining your life, I didn’t really want it.’”
“Maybe you’ll get this chance someday.”
“Nevertheless… I already feel better ‘cause… The guys and you forgave you. Right? Aren’t ya mad?”
“No, buddy, we’re not.”
“Even you? After I tried to kill you? After I did the worst things to you than anyone of the men, even though you’re my closest friend?”
“Please, Peter, let’s not remember that…” Daniel shakes his head. “You and I talked about it a long time ago. You explained the motives, and I admitted that I was asking for trouble.”
“If I ever do this again, you can kill me again.” Peter chuckles nervously. “Do anything you want… You can even…”
“Stop, blond, enough!” Daniel turns Peter on himself and takes him by the shoulders. “Let’s agree that we’ll not come back to this thing anymore. We’ve talked about everything, apologized for everything, and forgave each other.”
“It’s always more painful to get a knife in the back from someone close to you.”
“Right. However… No relationship can be good all the time. If someone’s close to you, you should fight and argue. It’s good to shout a little…” Daniel chuckles kindly. “And it’s sometimes good to beat the face… Everything matters. Relationships are real and alive when passions run wild. But if two people are kinda stuck in the pool and never argue, it means something is wrong with them.”
“Do ya wanna say what’s happening between us is fine?”
“Not quite. But since we argue at times and even fight, it means we do care. It means our friendship means a lot to us.”
“Can’t argue with it…” Peter cracks a slight smile, squeezing the railing with his fingers.
“Okay, buddy, get all these negative thoughts outta your head and relax,” Daniel suggests, putting his arm around Peter’s neck. “Today’s such a cool day – our friends’ wedding. We should have fun and enjoy it instead of whining and sitting aside all alone.”
“Actually, I didn’t wanna talk about it now. But you persuaded me to.”
“And feel better now? Right?”
“Well… Maybe.”
“Let’s do something, buddy: let’s keep it secret now, but when everyone comes to themselves after the wedding, we’ll tell them about Marcus’ death. Or maybe you won’t have to tell anything ‘cause Mr. Johnson will tell someone about it. And then this piece of news will be spread from person to person, reaching out to the guys/.”
“We’ll see it, buddy.”
“Okay, man, I know how to cheer you up a little,” Daniel says cheerfully. “I have something you’re gonna love.”
“What?” Peter chuckles. “The thing that rewinds the time?”
“Better!”
Daniel puts his hand in the inside of the pocket of his jacket on the left and smiles mysteriously as he takes something silver that he raises and shows to Peter.
“Here, Pete, take it. I think it’s yours.”
“Huh!” Peter pronounces surprisingly, rounding his eyes. “It’s… It’s…”
“Even if you told us to throw it, I decided to give one more chance to this bracelet,” Daniel replies with a slight smile. “I found the best jeweler, who soldered two pieces together and made a new engraving.”
“No way…”
“But I ain’t gonna that I had to spend a lot of time looking for someone to agree to help me. And I paid a lot of money to the master. To get the bracelet that looks like new.”
A slight smile shows up on Peter’s face when he reaches out his hand, on which Daniel puts the fixed bracelet, and looks closely at it with widely open eyes.
“No way…” Peter shakes his head, twirling the bracelet in his hands. “No fucking way! C’mon! You fixed it? Really?”
“And I think it’s good!” Daniel notices proudly. “The master did a good job.”
“But… How? It was broken! Absolutely broken!”
“Everything wasn’t too bad, huh. It was much harder to wash your brain and bring back our old Pete.”
“Is this a new bracelet, right?” Peter moves his eyes to Daniel. “Did you just order a new one with the same engraving?”
“No, it’s your bracelet,” Daniel shakes his head. “Which broke on the day you remembered Garret.”
“No way…” Peter laughs nervously, looking at every single detail of the bracelet again and again. “Dan, are you serious? How? I don’t understand…”
“It’s cool, huh? No cracks are left! And they changed the clasp that used to be weak.”
“Dude… I… I dunno what to say…” Peter closes his mouth with a hand, understanding that he lacks the air. “You… Did you really fix it?”
“May it be the symbol of the new stage of our friendship. Or… Mean that we decided to start everything over again. Not being what we were before. Being those who’ll no longer make the same mistakes. And… Really be friends. Honest. Decent. Those who wouldn’t betray for anything.”
“Oh, shit… Fucking shit!”
“And yeah, I’ve never forgotten this thing and always wore it with me.”
With these words, Daniel takes a set of keys from the pocket of his jacket and shows Peter a silver pendant with a black guitar and a big star on the chain.
“Wow, it’s cool!” Peter exclaims, looking at the pedant better. “How long have you had it?”
“Seriously?” Daniel surprises. “Can’t you remember? You forgot you gifted it to me?”
“I gifted?”
“Yes! Albert confronted you for the first time because of your allegedly bad play on that day. And Marty added fuel to the fire with her claims. You were standing confused and looked like a student hearing lectures from their mom and teacher at the same time. And I felt sorry for ya, and I came to wash Sanderson’s brain and show Patch where she belonged.”
“Wait, wait…” Peter pronounces thoughtfully. “We… We weren’t kinda friends back then, yet… Right?”
“Right!” Daniel nods. “These two tried to attack me too, but I got them cool quickly and told them the truth that I wanted to say so badly. And they got out.”
“Yes, yes, yes, yes, I remember… I remember… Yeah… Yeah! It was the first time that those two showed their rotten side. That’s why I was fucking overwhelmed. And I was much more dumbfounded when you stood up for me.”
“I just did what was right. I was resentful ‘cause that man attacked you because of a couple of mistakes that nobody even noticed. And… I believe it became the reason why you finally stopped running after me and came to me to thank me.”
“You’re right. Something really changed after that. And… I couldn’t leave without coming and thanking ya. And you encouraged me and told me not to care about it and just to keep doing what I’m doing.”
“And then I suggested that we spend time together again. And you agreed, hallelujah.”
“I just thought I could be wrong about you. And decided to give you a chance. And… To thank you, I gave you that pendant. Which I bought in a random shop for a couple of dollars.”
“Uh-huh…” Daniel smiles slightly. “You stopped me when I wanted to leave and just put it in my hands, saying it was your thankfulness.”
“I didn’t understand why I wanted to give you something. I guess… I guess I was too happy. Happy to have someone to stand by me. To have someone not to stay aside when I was under the attack, as you said, like a student.”
“Anyway, I really liked that thing, and I pinned it to my set of keys. And… I still have it.”
“And I, idiot, didn’t even notice anything this whole time…” Peter sighs with a shy smile. “I gave the pedant in and forgot. I thought it would be an empty thing to you, and you’d throw it in the nearest trash can.”
“No, Pete, it’s not an empty thing now. It’s a symbol of recognition. The symbol of acceptance. By giving me this pedant, you kinda gave me the green light. You kinda gave me a chance. Let me know you were ready to try to become my friend and let me be yours.”
“Let’s think it’s the truth. Though I gave this thing to you just to thank you.”
“And if we go too far, we can consider this pedant prophetic. The guitar and the star kinda say music would unite us, and we’d really shine bright someday. Really shine.”
“Glad you liked this thing. Glad you accepted it and didn’t throw.”
“And I wore it even when feathers were flying from side to side during our fights.”
“Just like I didn’t take off the bracelet even when you all were the universe's evil to me.”
“It means Theodore didn’t possess you completely. You still had some humanity.”
Peter’s smile gets much wider as he squeezes the silver metal tightly in his hand and looks at the thing he got back again and again in mistrust, as if he is afraid that it may disappear at any time. Then the guy opens the clasp with his shaking fingers and puts the bracelet on, while Daniel helps him close it. And the brunet does not realize how he finds himself in the strong hug of the blond exhaling slowly with closed eyes, while his shaking lips make something like a slight smile, and he feels that something warm spreads throughout his whole body after the cold metal contacts the skin.
“Thank you, Daniel!” Peter thanks happily in a little shaking voice. “Thank you so much! Thank you… You… You’re the best! Best, bro!”
“Think our friendship started right now,” Daniel chuckles. “Over again. Really.”
“No, it’s never ended. Our friendship started five years ago. On the day we met.”
“You won’t get away from me ‘til the day you die. Until death do us part.”
“I won’t dare to reject my family. The family you are to me.”
“Same, bro.” Daniel laughs shyly. “My little troubled brother.”
Peter chuckles kindly and steps away from Daniel, who claps him slightly on the forehead and gets a clap on the cheek from him. Then the guys share a smile and put themselves in order, fixing their hair, the collars of their shirts, and the lapels of their jackets.
“Okay, buddy…” Peter exhales sharply, looking at his bracelet from all sides. “Think I told you nothing. You didn’t see my lousy face and didn't hear me whining.”
“We need friends to listen to them whining and wiping their snots,” Daniel laughs. “What kind of friend are you if you don’t do this?”
“Not today. Today’s the happy day that we can’t make worse at all.”
“That’s right!” Daniel pulls down his jacket and strokes his hair. “And actually, stop being stuck here! Let’s come back to everyone! The brides are about to come, but the grooms’ best men are walking nobody the fuck knows where. The MacClifes are probably feting and fuming there!”
“Oh, yeah! Everything is gonna get worse without us.”
“Let’s go then! Put on a smile, raise your head, raise your tail, and go to the guests! C’mon, c’mon, Rose, stop the fuck being stuck here and licking your balls secretly so that they gloss!”
With these words, Daniel puts his arm around Peter’s neck and takes him far from the bridge, on which they spent this whole time.
“Oh, Perkins…” Peter does not hold down his laugh. “You’re the only one to make me laugh by doing nothing.”
“It’s okay, I know how to cheer you up before the brides’ arrival. Leave it to me!”
While they leave the bridge and go to the side where many people are waiting impatiently for the arrival of the brides and their company, Daniel tries to entertain Peter with some jokes that really make his mood better and make him smile and laugh widely. And when he calms down a little, the blond hugs his friend on the go, and they continue their way like this, still talking about something. When they are among the guests, everyone starts asking them where they disappeared, but they answer hesitantly that they just decided to walk around, noticing the amazing beauty of this place.
A little later, Peter and Daniel meet a middle-height young guy with wavy, long dark hair wearing a gray waistcoat and pants and a white shirt with quarter sleeves, greet him funnily, and start talking to him about something. It’s clear that the guy has a facial palsy, which is the reason why the left side of his face does not move, but when he smiles, nobody can literally notice it. However, nobody pays attention to it. To be clear, nobody even thinks about making an accent on this thing, which the guy takes quietly, with some kind of humor.
Meanwhile, Terrence and Edward keep walking slowly and admiring the beauty of this place, warming under the shoots of the bright sun and enjoying the way the light wind blows on their faces. Yes, a glass of champagne definitely gave them ease and a chance to control their emotions somehow, but it’s not enough to relax fully. The brothers still can barely breathe, their hearts beat like crazy, and it’s hard to swallow due to the dryness in their throats. Their hands shake strongly, words do not always connect in sentences, and their hands are so sweaty that it’s kind of awkward for them to greet someone with a handshake and try not to do this. They get so busy with this talk that they do not notice that someone comes to them softly and puts their hand softly on the shoulder of MacClife, Jr., and says:
“Edward…”
Shaking in surprise, Edward turns on and sees the sweet woman with a very kind look, who is dressed up well but not as luxurious as the other women who came here. And the man quickly recognizes this guest, Victoria Richardson, the kind old lady, who somehow took him to her home and let him stay so that he had a place to live.
“Mrs. Richardson?” Edward surprises truly and smiles widely. “Gosh, is that you?!”
Edward takes Victoria in his touching hug, which she accepts with pleasure, while Terrence watches what’s happening silently.
“I can’t believe!” Edward pronounces happily, holding Victoria’s hands. “You’ve come! You’ve come to watch me get married!”
“Did you think I’d decline this invitation?” Victoria wonders with a slight smile. “No, my sweetie, I couldn’t stay home. I wanted to come and congratulate you on such an important event.”
“I thought you weren’t able to come until the very end. You said you had lately gotten health issues.”
“Well, today, thank God, I feel great. And I decided I must’ve come to the wedding of the one to be like my son.”
“I’m so happy to see you! And I’m sorry about visiting you rarely.”
“It’s okay. I understand you have your own life.”
“I promise to fix it.”
“God, Edward…” Victoria looks at Edward with admiration from head to foot. “You’ve grown up into a man! Become so confident! How proudly you keep your head! How straightly you keep your back!”
“Thanks,” Edward replies amicably.
“I’ve never seen you in a suit, but I was sure you would be irresistible.”
“I have nothing against this suit, but I do hate a tie. At first, I didn't want to wear it, but I’m kinda used to it now. Though I wanna take it off as soon as possible.”
“Wrong! Men in suits with ties are very handsome. You should definitely wear pants, jackets, and shirts often. Not those shabby shirts, t-shirts, and shabby jeans you love so much.”
“Today, I’ve heard that I should wear suits often multiple times,” Edward laughs shyly, fixing the sleeve of his jacket.
“People do know what they say.”
Edward says nothing and just keeps smiling shyly.
“God, I can’t believe you’re a groom!” Victoria shakes her head. “My God…”
“Yeah, I’m also a little shocked,” Edward chuckles kindly. “But now I’m sure that I wanna spend my life with Natalia. And I see her as the mother of my children.”
“M-m-m, you even started thinking of children,” Victoria squints her eyes with a mysterious smile.
“Of course! I want to have children. Not now, of course, but somewhere in the future.”
“Wow… You never thought about that.”
“It happened then. People can change.”
“I hope so!” Victoria caresses Edward’s cheek softly with a wide smile. “It’s an honor for me to be at your wedding and see the happiness in your eyes.”
“Thank you for coming,” Edward thanks with all his heart. “I’m madly happy to share this wonderful moment with my closest people.”
“By the way, I already met your parents. And I must confess that they’re very good.”
“I said you’d like them.”
“And you are really similar to your father. You’re almost the same picture.”
“Oh, my dear, you haven’t probably seen my brother!” Edward laughs shyly and points at Terrence standing next to him. “I said everyone called him our father’s image.”
“Wow…” Victoria glances at Terrence. “Is this your brother?”
“Yes, he is!” Edward flashes a slight smile. “Yeah, let me introduce Terrence to you. My beloved big brother.”
“Nice to meet you,” Terrence nods with a slight smile.
“Same,” Victoria pronounces amicably. “I am Victoria Richardson. Edward lived in my apartment when he had no place to go for several years.”
“I know, Edward told us a lot about you.”
“Listen, you’re really an image of your father,” Victoria notices, looking at Terrence better. “I look at you and see Mr. MacClife.”
“And two more brothers of yours are more similar to their mother,” Edward adds.
“Brothers?” Victoria frowns slightly. “You have more brothers?”
“Yup, two more,” Terrence confirms. “On the father.”
“Wow, Edward never told me about them.”
“Terrence and I just get along well,” Edward explains. “But my relationship with Jeremy and William was terrible when we were kids. We just recently got along and started to talk well.”
“They’re here?”
“You, those guys!” Terrence exclaims and points at Jeremy and William talking about something to Rebecca and Jamie. “Talking to our parents.”
“M-m-m, sympathetic boys,” Victoria notices thoughtfully, looking at William and Jeremy better. “But they didn’t really take much from their father. There’s something, but not so much.”
“They look like their mother,” Edward confesses.
“Won’t she be at your wedding?”
“No, she won’t be. She’s very mad at Father, whom she broke up with many years ago because of his lie. Got so mad that she banned him from speaking to the children and gave them her last name.”
“But after growing up, these guys became MacClife again, found Edward and me, and contacted Father,” Terrence adds.
“That’s how!” Victoria surprises. “What a tangled story!”
“But Jeremy and William said their mother is very happy for my brother and me,” Edward says confidently. “And even gave us her gifts and a note with congratulations.”
“Very cute, just saying,” Terrence adds. “We’ve read it already. But we haven’t seen her gifts yet.”
“You get on with her well?” Victoria specifies.
“I have nothing against her, but I’ve never spoken to her. I don’t know her personally.”
“I spoke to her well when we lived together,” Edward confesses. “I had nothing against her, even if I never called her a mother. Anyway, I'm grateful to her for everything she’s done for me and wish her luck.”
“Alright…” Victoria pronounces thoughtfully. “I see…”
“Listen, do you want us to introduce our brothers to you?” Edward suggests cheerfully. “I’m sure they’re gonna like you.”
“I’d meet all your relatives and friends with pleasure.”
Edward hugs Victoria around the shoulders with a slight smile and brings her to William, Rebecca, Jamie, and Jeremy standing aside, while Terrence follows them. The guys introduce the woman to them, and their younger brothers accept the woman very nicely and say something to her with a slight smile, shaking her hand to greet her. While Daniel, Blake, Christopher, Ryan, Peter, Kevin, Joseph, Cody, and Benjamin are standing together aside and talking.
“The grooms kinda forgot us!” Ryan notices. “After we came here, the MacClifes only said a couple of words to us.”
“It’s alright, buddy, they’ll talk to everybody enough and come to us,” Benjamin replies confidently.
“Oh, oh, look at the older of the MacClife brothers!” Joseph jabs with a laugh, looking at the side where Terrence is standing as he greets a middle-aged man and shares an amicable kiss on the cheek with a woman. “They’re walking here like peacocks and using the fact that they’re heroes of the day today.”
“Oh, yeah!” Daniel chuckles kindly. “Getting at least one compliment per day is a necessary thing for Terrence to be satisfied. And he does get it ‘cause Raquelle praises him. Yes, maybe, she doesn’t please him a lot in public, but he’s her Apollo in a bed…”
“And Natalia doesn’t leave our Edward without compliments,” Peter notices. “She wouldn’t praise him less.”
“Uh-huh, and that’s why we won’t avoid the moment when we get Terrence MacClife 2.0.” Kevin laughs shyly.
“We already have, buddy!” Benjamin exclaims. “Edward looks at his brother and repeats everything after him.”
“What do we do, men?” Cody asks.
“We’ll see,” Joseph shrugs. “We handle Terry somehow, even if it’s not always successful. Which means we can tame Eddy, too.”
“We only have to wish each other to hold on,” Blake adds.
“And hope these pretty boys will think about us later,” Benjamin adds.
“Huh, we feel good without them,” Christopher chuckles kindly. “Everything’s so beautiful and gorgeous around, you can meet many new people…”
“I believe almost everybody’s come,” Blake says. “Only the bride, her relatives, and her friends are missing.”
“It’s okay, we’ll wait!” Peter says with a slight smile. “We don’t have to rush. A whole day is ahead!”
“Ah, I can’t wait for the celebration…” Christopher says thoughtfully. “I wanna dance along with cool music, eat a piece of cake, drink champagne, talk with beautiful girls…”
“But this time, we won’t drink as hard as we did on the bachelor,” Terrence replies confidently, joining everybody along with William and Jeremy. “There are adults and children here.”
“Oh, guys, look, who’s come to us!” Joseph raises his hands. “One groom has thought about us!”
“Hey, guys, who’s the woman you just talked with?” Daniel frowns slightly.
“Huh, that’s Victoria Richardson,” Terrence explains. “The woman Edward lived with for several years,”
“As you assumed, Dan!” Benjamin exclaims.
“We liked her, just saying!” Jeremy confesses. “Very sweet and kind…”
“Father and Rebecca also liked her very much,” William adds confidently.
“Don’t ya wanna introduce her to us?” Peter smiles mysteriously.
“A little later. Mrs. Richardson is now talking to my parents. By the way, they’ve already gotten along. And she liked my beloved brothers.”
“It couldn’t be otherwise!” Terrence replies proudly with a slight smile. “It’s impossible not to…”
Terrence has to shut up because Benjamin growling quietly closes his mouth with a hand and opens it when the man stops moaning.
“Hey, don’t close my mouth!” Terrence resents.
“We got it all, buddy,” Benjamin smiles innocently. “Don’t repeat what we’ve heard a thousand times.”
“I just wanted to say that it’s impossible not to love me!”
“There are no people who are loved by everyone, MacClife,” Benjamin replies confidently. “Even sweet and fluffy ones can’t be absolute favorites.”
“Ar-r-r-r, fuck, why did I get in touch with you!” Terrence growls irritably, rolling his eyes.
“Hey, where’s the second groom?” Blake chuckles kindly. “How did you lose him on the way?”
“Calm down, guys, the kid will come now,” Terrence waves a hand. “After talking to the photographer.”
At this moment, Sammy runs by the men as fast as a bullet, and Amanda, Hailey, and Shannon run after him with funny whoops, not caring about the adult men’s plea to be careful. And at some moment, Edward joins them, making the friends make happy whoops.
“Oh, guys!” Benjamin exclaims happily. “The second groom has thought about us, too!”
“Yes, Edward, we thought you and your brother forgot we existed,” Ryan confesses. “You’re walking around and not coming to us…”
“We should’ve greeted the guests and acquainted those who don’t know someone,” Edward excuses with an innocent smile. “Everybody wanna congratulate us. But we can’t tear ourselves. So, we have to pay attention to everybody by one.”
“Oh, yeah, and wave your peacock tail for them,” Joseph laughs shyly.
“C’mon, they can do anything today!” Christopher throws funnily. “Let the MacClifes enjoy the last moments of freedom. The brides will come soon, along with their friends and family, and become their wives.”
“Exactly!” Benjamin exclaims. “May the boys have fun. And you and I will be the best groomsmen.”
“And use the chance to flirt with beautiful young girls,” Joseph smiles mysteriously.
“It’s one of the reasons why I came here,” Cody smiles slyly. “You can hang out with beautiful ladies in many places, not just dancefloors and clubs.”
“Are ya thinking of the way to pick someone up?” Terrence crosses his arms over his chest.
“We’ve gotta do something while you and your brother forget us and flirt with Raquelle and Natalia,” Christopher replies.
“It’s okay our taken friends have beauties they can hang out with,” Kevin adds. “But what do single men do?”
“Just don’t drink and don’t dance a striptease!” Edward exclaims. “And do what you want.”
“Oh, thank you, honorable Mr. MacClife!” Ryan inclines his head.
The men say nothing and just laugh quietly. But when one of them wants to say something, Sammy runs by them like a hurricane with a loud bark, and then a serious, average-aged man with bald patches on his head comes to them, wearing a new gray suit and glasses.
“So, where are you hiding the grooms?” the man asks amicably. “Let me look at them!”
Edward, Terrence, Daniel, and Peter move their eyes to the man, not hiding their happiness at the appearance of George, the manager of “Against The System”.
“George!” Edward, Peter, Daniel, and Terrence pronounce happily.
Edward, Daniel, Terrence, and Peter greet George with a strong handshake or an amicable hug, while the other men just stand quietly and sometimes look at each other.
“Glad to see you, Mr. Smith,” Blake says amicably, hugging George amicably and clapping him on the shoulder.
“Same, Blake,” George smiles shyly and looks at Edward and Terrence from head to foot. “Oh, Edward, Terrence, the guys did dress you up! And your friends dressed up, as I can see.”
“Yeah, we bought new suits for this event,” Daniel replies amicably, fixing the lapel of his jacket. “I mean, we ordered them. Ordered individual ones.”
“They fit us so well,” Peter adds.
George glances aside with a slight smile, seeing Sammy playing with the little girls and some guests talking to each other.
“Oh, seems like I meddled in your talk,” George says a little hesitantly.
“No, no, George, it’s okay,” Terrence shakes his head. “We’re acquainting all the guests with each other if they don’t know each other.”
“By the way, George, meet the guys,” Edward adds confidently.
Edward introduces George to his brothers, Jeremy and William, and his friends, Christopher, Benjamin, Kevin, and Ryan. Everybody greets each other very warmly, sharing a handshake and saying a couple of good words.
“Nice to meet all of you, guys,” George smiles shyly. “But I would rather leave you and talk to the other guests.”
“No, Mr. Smith, you don’t bother us,” Blake replies amicably. “Talk to us.”
“Thanks, Blake, but I’d better talk to the other guests and meet those I don’t know yet. Moreover, there are so many wonderful people here.”
“Alright, as you want…” Joseph shrugs.
“Sorry for bothering you…”
George turns around quickly and comes quietly to the other guests to talk to them a little while the men stay alone and look at each other. And when the friends decide to come back to their talk, three young men of a different height come to them, who are wearing suits too. They all have dark hair, one of them looks very skinny, unlike the others, and the others have quite good physical data. These guys run to Terrence, Peter, Daniel, and Edward with a happy whoop and clap them slightly on the back of their heads.
“Hey, yo, here are our stars!” the skinniest guy whops happily, loudly.
“Zach! Liam! Brad!” Terrence, Edward, Peter, and Daniel whop happily.
The members of “Against The System” welcome the guys with a strong hug, a brotherly handshake, and a clap on the back.
“Damn, I can’t believe it!” Edward exclaims cheerfully. “You’ve come, after all!”
“Yeah, you said you had a concert!” Terrence recalls.
“It was cancelled!” the tallest of the three men replies happily. “Due to technical reasons. At the last moment. We were gonna perform, but the organizers contacted us and said the show wouldn’t take place.”
“But we didn’t get upset!” the skinniest guy exclaims. “Then we sat down, thought, and called up the memories about the invitation at the wedding! So, we took our best suits from our closets, took invitations, and went here.”
“Yeah!” the man, whose eyebrow is pierced, assumes cheerfully. “Since we have nothing to do, we can at least hang out with our friends and meet someone else.”
“So, in this case, welcome to the wedding,” Edward replies amicably.
“Feel like home!” Terrence exclaims. “Hope you’ll love it!”
“Listen, this place is really cool!” the tallest guy notices with a wide smile. “Such a cool view!”
“Uh-huh, pretty good for a photoshoot or a music video!” the guy with a pierced nose agrees.
“Right, we can think about it!” the skinny guy exclaims.
“Fucking luck…” Jeremy pronounces cheerfully. “First, we met the members of ‘Against The System’, but now we’re meeting the lads from ‘The Loser Syndrome!””
“Fucking shit, did the guys from ‘The Loser Syndrome’ themselves come to the wedding of our bros?” William surprises loudly.
“That’s right, guys, it’s us!” the skinny guy confirms with his head proudly up. “I’m Liam Caulfield!”
“I’m Bradley Charles!” the guy with a pierced eyebrow introduces himself cheerfully.
“And I’m Zachary Jefferson!” the tallest man exclaims funnily.
“And we are ‘The Loser Syndrome!’” Liam, Bradley, and Zachary say at the same time happily and give each other a five.
“Hey, we know you!” Zachary exclaims, pointing at Cody. “You are an actor! Filming in pretty cool movies!”
“It’s correct,” Cody confirms. “Cody Freeman, at your service.”
“Listen, I am obsessed with the show in which you play a detective,” Bradley confesses. “Waiting for the second season with impatience!”
“Gonna fly to film it soon.”
“Listen, how do the guys know you?” Liam wonders. “Who invited you to the wedding?”
“I knew only Terrence at first, and then I met this whole gang,” Cody confesses. “I somehow got to work with Terrence. We met on the shooting of the movie.”
“Cool!” Liam pronounces happily.
“And my father is a famous director, by the way,” Joseph says. “Cornelius Prescott.”
“Come on?” Bradley surprises. “Cornelius himself?”
“Oh, I’ve seen a couple of his movies!” Liam confesses. “They’re really cool! And the man’s awesome! One of my exes is an actress who worked with him somehow.”
“And filmed in one of his movies,” Cody says. “Thanks to this, I met and befriended Joe.”
“Oh, shit, what a cool company we have here!” Zachary pronounces cheerfully. “So many famous people!”
“Listen, boys, did you really make our friends famous?” Christopher wonders.
“Are they gonna release their album in a few days thanks to you?” Ryan smiles widely.
“Uh-huh,” Bradly smiles shyly. “These guys got famous thanks to our little PR.”
“We really saw a video on the Internet of Peter, Daniel, and Terrence singing as a trio!” Liam adds cheerfully. “And we were really overwhelmed! That was incredible!”
“When the lads and I listened to it, we said these men must’ve been stars,” Zachary confesses confidently. “And the fact that Edward joined their band made their band really overwhelmed! It sounds much better and more powerful!”
“Oh, yeah, after he joined us, we started to sound really cool!” Terrence agrees cheerfully.
“And the guys and I can’t wait to hear the men’s debut album!” Liam says with a slight smile.
“Uh-huh, and what an excellent music video for the first single they shot!” Zachary smiles widely. “It’s awesome! The girls are freaking pretty in it!”
“It’s okay, guys!” Daniel replies confidently. “A little time to go before the whole world hears our debut album.”
“And the worldwide tour is getting closer!” Peter adds funnily. “And we’re gonna have a shooting of the second music video that’s gonna be much better than the first one!”
“But first, we need to celebrate one little but very important event,” Joseph smiles mysteriously.
“Huh, we came here for the reason – to have fun at the wedding!” Bradley replies cheerfully.
“Yeah, to us, it’s a little chance to have a break and forget about our work for a while,” Liam adds.
“Hey, dudes, we’re sorry about not coming to your bachelor,” Zachary apologizes amicably. “We had two shows and one appearance on a show on that day. Sadly, we couldn’t leave it.”
“Give a fuck, guys!” Terrence waves a hand with a slight smile. “The important thing is that you came now.”
“So what, grooms, how are ya feeling?” Liam asks funnily and starts hanging on Edward, putting an arm around his neck. “C’mon, speak up!”
“Don’t ya regret wishing to get married?” Zachary asks cheerfully, clapping Terrence on the shoulder and hugging him.
“C’mon, guys!” Kevin exclaims. “Ed and Terry have a wonderful mood! They’re very determined now!”
“We dressed them up for this case and made them real pretty boys!” Benjamin adds funnily.
“You did a great job!” Bradley replies cheerfully. “The grooms are just irresistible!”
“The brides are gonna be delighted!” Zachary adds with a wide smile.
“We don’t doubt it,” Christopher smiles mysteriously.
“Hey, where are the brides?” Liam looks around. “I don’t kinda see them! Haven’t they come yet?”
“Nope, we’re waiting so far,” William shrugs with a slight smile.
“The girls are gonna come with them, as well,” Daniel adds.
“M-m-m, you say, the girls?” Bradley smiles mysteriously.
“They’re also probably gonna be beauties,” Liam assumes confidently.
“We don’t doubt,” Joseph pronounces thoughtfully.
“They’re gonna be overwhelmed when they see you here,” Blake says cheerfully.
“Right!” Jeremy smiles widely. “The girls do adore you!”
“There are no girls who don’t know who you are,” Cody adds.
“Listen, guys, what if you make a surprise at the celebration and sing your best song?” Peter suggests with a wide smile.
“Well, if the people ask us very well, we will sing even two songs for this special event,” Liam smiles mysteriously.
“Moreover, if beautiful girls ask us about it, we won’t surely refuse,” Zachary adds confidently.
All the men laugh shyly and smile widely, and two seconds later, Sammy runs by them as fast as a hurricane again and almost strikes someone down.
“Hey, how did this doggy end up here?” Bradley wonders. “Who has it? What a pretty boy!”
“Almost Peter’s one,” Edward replies amicably. “I mean, it’s his girlfriend’s buddy.”
“That’s how!” Liam exclaims.
While the men look at each other, the guy named Ashton, who talked to Peter and Daniel before, comes to them confidently.
“Hey, Edward, Terrence, didn’t you forget about me?” Ashton asks cheerfully. “I’ve been here for so long, but you didn’t notice me!”
“Sorry, Ash, we were meeting the guests,” Edward replies amicably and greets Ashton by hugging him and clapping him on the back.
“Should’ve given attention to everybody,” Terrence adds and greets Ashton, too.
“Ah, that’s a holy thing!” Ashton exclaims.
“So what, dude?” Edward puts his hands on his hips. “I hope you chose the best tracks for us?”
“Don’t doubt, men, it’s gonna be cool,” Ashton replies confidently, gesticulating actively. “The people are gonna be overwhelmed by what I’m gonna do! Nobody will sit in the same place! Today is gonna be very hot! I promise you!”
“We’re counting on you, Ash!” Terrence says. “Don’t let us down!”
“Prove to everybody that we recommended you to the grooms and brides for the reason,” Daniel adds.
“Today everybody must have fun and dance ‘til they fall!” Peter notices cheerfully.
“It’s gonna be much better than you expect, lads, don’t worry!” Ashton replies confidently.
“We hope,” Edward pronounces amicably.
Ashton says nothing and laughs quietly, and then pays attention to Zachary, Liam, and Bradley.
“Oh, shit, guys!” Ashton pronounces happily. “Are you the guys from ‘The Loser Syndrome?’”
“We are!” Liam replies with his head proudly raised.
“A-a-a-ah, cool! My little sisters are gonna be overwhelmed if they know I saw you in real life! They do adore your band. And I love some of your songs!”
“We don’t exclude that we will sing something for the guests,” Zachary smiles mysteriously.
“And take photos with anyone and sign something,” Bradley adds amicably.
“Great!” Ashton exclaims. “Could you write something for two of my younger sisters on something?”
“No problem, man!” Zachary exclaims.
“By the way, my sisters and I were on one of your latest shows, and that was incredible. The girls were madly happy!”
“Come back again and take your sisters with you,” Liam suggests amicably. “We’d talk and take photos with them with pleasure.”
“If I’d known you’d come here, I would’ve taken something from the girls’ merch. They’ve got tons of magazines, shirts, jackets, bracelets, and other stuff you ever sold.”
“Really?” Zachary surprises truly.
“Oh, yeah! They’ve adored you since they saw one of the episodes of one of the shows…”
Ashton keeps telling something with interest as he goes aside with Zachary, Bradley, and Liam. While the other men watch them with a slight smile and look at each other.
“Be careful, Edward,” Ryan warns confidently. “Be careful, Terrence. Those guys may get all the attention and forget you, Raquelle, and Natalia.”
“They won’t, Ryan, you’ll see,” Edward replies confidently. “And I’m not afraid they’ll get all the attention.”
“Ha, just one name of mine gets a lot of attention already,” Terrence says with his head proudly raised.
“Today, you, Raquelle, and Natalia must be the only heroes of the day,” Christopher notices cheerfully.
“We will be. Nobody will forget why they came here. Just like in the case of the guys from ‘Lost In Time.’ They won’t get all the attention on them.”
“What?” Blake surprises. “Is ‘Lost In Time’ gonna be here, as well?”
“I don’t know yet,” Edward shrugs. “The guys didn’t give a clear answer to the invitation.”
“Hey, MacClifes, didn’t you also invite Brianna Armstrong?” Kevin asks.
“Yup, we invited her, but she won’t come. Brie has too much to do, sadly. She has no time to celebrate weddings.”
“But she sent a couple of bouquets of flowers, small gifts, and cards with congratulations,” Terrence adds.
“Too bad,” Jeremy pronounces with sadness in his eyes. “I would take a photo with her.”
“Me too!” William exclaims cheerfully. “I adore Brie! She’s so cool and talented! And beautiful!”
“Maybe, you’ll be much luckier next time,” Terrence laughs shyly.
At this moment, the guests go to different sides and start to talk to everyone. Those who are responsible for the wedding are getting ready for the wedding. And Sammy is still playing with Hailey and Shannon. So, the men cannot continue their talk because of the appearance of Lilian and Maximilian smiling shyly. While the man is wearing a dark gray suit with a stripped tie that has a little lighter shade, and the woman, whose hair is beautifully brushed up, looks luxurious in a definitely valuable modest designer dark red long dress with lace patches, is wearing high-costed silver small earrings and a gorgeous necklace, and holding a little clutch of the same color as her dress is.
“Hello,” Lillian greets shyly.
“Hello, everybody,” Maximilian pronounces gently.
“Mr. Seymour, Mrs. Seymour! Daniel exclaims with a shy smile, moving his eyes to Lilian and Maximillian. “What a surprise!”
Daniel greets Maximilian with tight hugs and a slight clap on the shoulder and shares an amicable kiss with Lilian.
“Gosh, Daniel, you’re handsome!” Lillian admires with a wide smile, looking at Daniel from head to foot. “You look incredible!”
“Indeed, Daniel, suits look very good on you,” Maximilian agrees with a slight smile.
“Thanks,” Daniel pronounces gently with a shy smile. “And I’m glad you managed to come.”
“The events turned for the best for us,” Lillian says amicably, moving a strand of wavy hair off her face.
“By the way, hasn’t Anna come yet?” Maximilian looks around. “I can’t see her.”
“No yet,” Daniel replies. “Anna is supposed to come here soon, along with the brides, their friends, their family, and my sister.”
“I see…”
“Ryan!” Lillian smiles widely when she sees Ryan, who was closed off by the men before.
“Hello, Mrs. Seymour, Mr. Seymour,” Ryan greets gently. “Glad to see you.”
Ryan greets Lillian and Maximilian warmly, hugging both of them, shaking the man by the hand, and sharing an amicable kiss on the cheek with the woman.
“Oh, hello, guys,” Maximilian says amicably, paying attention to Terrence, Edward, and Peter. “Glad to see you all.”
Not standing aside, Edward, Terrence, and Peter also greet Lillian and Maximilian, hugging them amicably and shaking them by the hand.
“Thanks a lot for accepting the invitation,” Edward thanks gently.
“We’re really happy to have you among the guests,” Terrence adds.
“Since we were invited, we couldn’t refuse,” Lilian says confidently.
“Welcome,” Edward pronounces amicably. “Feel like home. If you have questions, let us know.”
“Thank you so much,” Maximilian thanks.
“By the way, young men, you all also look incredible,” Lillian smiles shyly.
“We tried hard, Mrs. Seymour,” Peter says, fixing his hair slightly. “We couldn’t look bad on this important day.”
“So, grooms, how are you feeling?” Maximilian asks cheerfully, clapping Terrence and Edward on the shoulder. “Are you ready to marry?”
“Ready, Mr. Seymour,” Edward nods confidently.
“Can’t wait!” Terrence exclaims.
“Excited?”
“Of course, we are. But we’re trying not to think about it.”
“We distract ourselves by talking to our friends and brothers and meeting the guests,” Edward adds.
“We managed to talk to many of them before coming to you,” Maximilian confesses. “You have very good parents, Edward and Terrence. And Helene’s grandmother is also very sweet.”
“Glad you got on well with them,” Terrence smiles shyly.
“Oh, I see Sammy is playing with the little girls,” Lillian smiles shyly as she glances aside.
“Yeah, but we have to watch this dog so that he doesn’t destroy anything,” Peter replies shyly. “Sammy is running like crazy here. I’m worried that he may break something.”
“Are they daughters of some guests?” Maximilian asks thoughtfully.
“Yes, the shortest one is Hailey, the Sanchezs’ daughter, Alicia’s friends,” Edward explains, pointing at Hailey. “And the taller girl is Shannon, a daughter of one of Terrence’s servants.”
“And Alicia’s daughter will come soon,” Terrence adds. “And the little brother of another servant of mine.”
“Good girls,” Lillian smiles shyly. “They made me think of Anna… She was the same baby as they are.”
Ryan, Edward, Daniel, Terrence, and Peter say nothing and smile shyly while the other men just stand aside and either watch what’s happening or whisper with each other about something.
“Alright, young men, we’d better leave you alone with your friends and talk to someone of the guests,” Lillian says thoughtfully.
“Yes, Daniel, when Anna comes here, ask her to come to us,” Maximilian says.
“Alright, I will tell her,” Daniel nods confidently.
“If you need something, you’ll find us among the guests.”
Maximilian and Lillian smile shyly at everybody and go slowly to the other guests on the other side, while the men look at each other and come together in a big group again.
“So, Daniel!” Jeremy exclaims cheerfully. “I see you got the love of your future mother-in-law and father-in-law.”
“Yeah, you smile at them, you hug them so sweetly…” Joseph notices thoughtfully.
“Uh-huh, as I understand, the Seymours literally consider you their own son,” Christopher adds with a slight smile.
“Yup, horrible stories about terrible mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law are true for someone, but they’re false to me,” Daniel smiles shyly. “I’m lucky in this case.”
“And I’m lucky to have my mother-in-law and father-in-law,” Edward notices funnily. “And Natalia’s grandmother is literally in love with me.”
“And I’m a good guy for Raquelle’s auntie and grandfather,” Terrence adds confidently.
“Everything’s clear about you,” William chuckles kindly. “You’re our experts at love and trust!”
“I sense that Perkins is also using his charm so that the parents of his red beauty love him,” Blake laughs quietly. “He needs to play with his charming eyes to have the mission completed!”
“Oh, c’mon, Blake!” Christopher throws funnily. “All our taken friends learned a secret of speaking to the families of their beloved girls from each other and used it fully.”
“I wish we knew how they bribed them,” Ryan says thoughtfully.
The men would keep talking, but Sammy being a little tired barks quietly, comes to them and breathes heavily as he looks at everybody, who laughs quietly at the sight of the dog with disheveled hair.
“Oh, men!” Daniel raises his hands. “Look at the creature that has decided to come to us!”
“Fuck, why did I spend the whole morning washing him?” Peter sighs resignedly. “He’s now fucking dirty now…”
“Hey, Sammy, don’t ya wanna run after the girls anymore after getting enough?” Blake asks funnily.
Sammy barks quietly and yawls contagiously.
“Oh, Sammy, what did you do to yourself?” Peter sighs tiredly, yanking Sammy by the ears. “The time I spent on you in the morning is wasted! I barely fixed my back after trying to make you more or less good.”
Sammy barks quietly again, and Peter has nothing but to moan quietly, squat down, fix his bow tie, and stroke his hair down. And when he does it, the doggy makes a sound and puts a paw on the sleeve of his jacket, but Rose moves it quickly off himself, pronouncing confidently with his index finger raised:
“Hey, don’t dare to dirty my jacket! Move off your dirty paw. Get off, I said! Sammy! Who I say!”
The excited Sammy tries to take Peter’s hand with his mouth, watching its movements closely and grabbing it slightly with his teeth and paw without the goal of harming. In the end, he gets a slight slap on the nose from the blond. But it does not calm him down.
“Okay, calm down now,” Peter tries to settle the dog down. “Calm down! Samuel! Oh… The brides and their friends will come, but you only wanna play. Who I said, stop! Sammy! Sammy, the fuck! Ar-r-r! How stubborn!”
“And the brides are very late, just saying…” Jeremy notices with a mysterious smile, while Peter gets up on his feet and pulls down his jacket.
“Uh-huh, almost all the guests came, but there are no ladies of honor,” William adds thoughtfully.
“Come on, maybe they decided to powder their noses or fix their hair on the way,” Kevin assumes funnily. “That’s women! They won’t give a start before they change something about themselves a thousand times.”
“Maybe, they actually changed her mind about getting married?” Benjamin rounds his eyes, closing his mouth with a hand. “And won’t come?”
“What?” Terrence and Edward open their eyes widely.
“Right!” Joseph plays along. “It’s been so long, but the brides are still not here.”
“Listen, it would be so painful if they left our friends and broke up with them,” Cody shakes his head with horror in his eyes.
“Oh, shit!” Jeremy horrifies. “The brides left my brothers! Even without coming to the altar! Bloody hell!”
“What do we do, lads?” William grabs his head. “What we do! Oh, oh, oh…”
William and Jeremy get a strong slap on the back of the head from Terrence and Edward, who look gloomy.
“Bite your tongue, idiots!” Terrence resents. “I am fucking nervous, but you irritate me much more!”
“Wow, wow, easy, bro, easy!” William laughs quietly with his hands raised. “We joked!”
“If you say something like this again, you’ll be kicked out of here,” Edward threatens with a finger.
“C’mon, boys!” Benjamin exclaims. “You won’t be alone. Millions of girls around the world still wanna make you theirs and would be happy to take the places of Raquelle and Natalia.
“Uh-huh, you can bring all the candidates to us so that we can look at them and say if you’d be happy with them,” Cody adds.
“I don’t need another girl!” Terrence cuts off sharply.
“Me too!” Edward states.
“Don’t listen to these bandits, guys,” Daniel says confidently. “It’s gonna be okay. Nobody’s gonna leave you.”
“Don’t worry, your brides will be brought here now,” Peter adds. “And we’ll finally become the witnesses to the lovebirds becoming husband and wife before our eyes.”
“That’s why I’m starting to get much more nervous…” Terrence confesses in a little shaking voice, starting to shake his leg nervously and looking around, while many guests are talking about something as they are waiting for the brides and their company.
“Don’t worry, MacClife, it’s gonna be cool!” Cody assures with a wide smile.
“I dunno…” Edward throws gloomily. “You make me doubt more and more.”
“C’mon, men, relax!” Joseph exclaims. “You'd better look at how many guests have arrived already!”
“Right!” Daniel agrees. “Thanks to our help. If not for Ben, Pete, Cody, Joe, and me, there wouldn’t be so much beauty and so many guests here.”
“Uh-huh, we’ve already questioned some people and found out that 100% of the guests are delighted by what surrounds them,” Benjamin says cheerfully.
“Because such people as the men and I worked on this,” Joseph says with his head proudly raised. “We’re all really awesome!”
“Oh, oh, oh, you’re puffing your tales, huh!” Terrence chuckles kindly as he crosses his arms over his chest.
“Uh-huh, they just gave some advice on decorating, but they’re acting like someone’s merits are theirs,” Edward notices.
“Not someone’s merits!” Peter protests. “Everything that’s happening now is the merit of the men and me. Our work together that everyone liked.”
“We’re freaking awesome at doing the duty of the groomsmen,” Daniel notices with his head proudly raised.
“Don’t puff your tales too much, guys,” Terrence smiles slyly. “Just because Edward and I chose you as the groomsmen doesn’t mean you can act like everything Raquelle, Natalia, he, and I did is your merit.”
“Well, the bachelor is really our merit,” Cody notices. “The boys and I celebrated it really well and said goodbye to your single life.”
“And we were really thrilled, thank you,” Edward smiles shyly.
“Oh, yay!” Benjamin chuckles loudly. “We organized such a cool party for you!”
“Right,” Terrence agrees. “And now be nice to take the responsibility to play the role of the groomsmen and not to shame my brother, yourself, and me.”
“No problem, buddy!” Joseph pronounces funnily
Sammy barks confidently and loudly.
“Sammy agrees to help!” Ryan exclaims.
“He’s our only hope,” Edward says.
“Listen, let’s drink a glass of champagne?” Blake suggests confidently.
“Oh, go, go, go!” Kevin smiles widely. “I wanted to suggest you do it!”
“Hey, hey, hello, alcoholics!” Terrence exclaims. “We haven’t started to celebrate, but you decided to get drunk as fuck.”
“Not as fuck,” Cody protests. “We’re just relaxing.”
“Do you want to ruin the entire fucking ceremony?” Edward resents.
“We did warn you about not tolerating it,” Terrence adds.
“Don’t get wild, princesses,” Benjamin says with an innocent smile. “It’s just for relaxation.”
“Uh-huh, working as a groomsman takes a lot of strength,” Joseph adds tiredly.
“You only wanna drink and fuck girls,” Edward throws gloomily.
“Don’t be jealous, buddy,” Blake smiles slyly. “You and your brother decided to marry at your will. Nobody forced you to go to the altar.”
“In short, men, don’t listen to the MacClifes and give them a glass to drink,” Joseph suggests confidently. “The grooms are kinda too nervous! After drinking champagne in the car, they were super sweet, but now they kick everyone with hooves again.”
With these words, Joseph wants to ruffle Terrence’s hair a little, but the man prevents it immediately.
“Hey, I warned you that I wasn’t gonna drink as fuck at my wedding,” Terrence says confidently.
“By the way, I wanna remember this day and spend an unforgettable first marriage night," Edward adds.
“In order for everything to be good, you need to relax and drink some champagne,” Cody says confidently. “It would be okay if you drank whiskey or vodka, but it’s just champagne. You can only get a headache after drinking it.”
“Hey, we’ve already drunk some champagne!”
“And you’ll drink a little before the beginning of the ceremony so that you don’t fall into a trance when you’re asked if you agree to get married,” Benjamin says confidently.
“We ain’t gonna go to the altar drunk!” Edward exclaims. “Father’s gonna get mad!”
“Alright, stop it!” Peter cuts off. “We will drink, and it’s outta the discussion!”
Peter glances at the waiter walking by them and carrying a tray with several glasses of champagne, and stops her so that everyone can take one.
“Hey, drink at least half of it,” Peter demands, putting the glass in Terrence’s hand.
“C’mon, c’mon, if you decide to pass out, waking you up would be too much,” Daniel adds, giving the glass to Edward.
After pronouncing a couple of toasts, the men raise their glasses and drink some champagne. Including Edward and Terrence, who do not resist for too long since the champagne helped them put themselves together and calm down for some time. Then they leave their glasses on one of the tables near them and talk about something for some time before they are stopped by the voice of the little boy running to the men as fast as he can:
“Hey, Benjamin!”
“Harry, hi!” Benjamin smiles widely, gives a five to Harold, hugs him, and looks at him from head to foot, taking him by the shoulders. “Listen, man, where are you growing? A little bit before you’re gonna be taller than me!”
“Well, I need a little to reach Blair,” Harold replies funnily, and chuckles kindly. “And then she’d look at me from the bottom.”
“If you keep growing up, I’ll be looking at you like that, as well.”
“I won’t reach you ‘cause you’re a six-foot column!”
“I ain’t a six-foot column! I’m only 6’2’’!”
“You’re tall anyway!”
“Trust me, there are much taller people.”
“Hey, boy!” Terrence addresses Harold. “Aren’t you the younger brother of Blair?”
“Yes, this is me,” Harold replies confidently. “And you must be Terrence MacClife? The one for whom my sister is working? And one of the grooms?”
“Yes, that’s me.”
“I’m Harold! Harold Stewart! But you can call me Harry!”
“Nice to meet you, Harry!”
Terrence shakes Harold by the hand with a slight smile, and Harold smiles at him amicably.
“And meet the second groom,” Benjamin says confidently, glancing at Edward. “The one to leave the club of single men, too.”
“Yeah, boy, this is Edward,” Terrence introduces, pointing at Edward standing next to him. “My younger brother.”
“So true!” Edward exclaims. “Nice to meet you, Harry!”
“Oh, I know about you!” Harold gets excited and shakes Edward by the hand. “Ms. Rochester talked only about you while getting ready with her friends’ help! As well as Ms. Cameron talked about your brother.”
“Really? You already met them?”
“Of course! Blair brought me to your fiancée’s home and introduced me to the girls.”
“M-m-m, so, did you see her?” Edward asks with a slight smile.
“She’s eternally beautiful! As well as Ms. Cameron. You’re gonna be delighted, be sure!”
“Don’t tease them, Harry,” Peter says amicably. “The guys are too excited.”
“Yeah,” Daniel confirms. “Look at them!”
“Oh, you know how worried the brides are!” Harold exclaims. “And crying from happiness all the time.”
“By the way, boy, you were supposed to come here with the girls,” Cody frowns slightly. “Are they here already?”
“They are, sir!” Harold confirms. “Mr. Rochester and Mr. Cameron are helping the women get out and wanna say something to the girls as well as Mrs. Rochester, Mrs. Lascano, and Mrs. Middleton.”
“So, they’re here?” Edward says quietly with a slight smile.
“Here, Mr. MacClife. The adults do their best to calm the brides down, but they can’t relax and stop thinking something may go wrong.”
“It’s fine,” Daniel assures with a slight smile. “Our grooms are also excited. Standing pale and barely breathing.”
“Yeah, we’ve gotta do our best to help them keep calm,” Peter confesses.
“Hey, where are the brides and their company?” Blake frowns slightly.
“Getting out of the car,” Harold replies quietly. “It was so cool to be in that, just saying! I was never in such a big car before! Such soft seats! Such delicious, sweet water! Such music! I madly liked it!”
“Oh, buddy, when you see everything that’s gonna happen today, you’re gonna get much more dumbfounded,” Benjamin replies confidently. “Being in a limousine is just a start!”
“Amanda and I liked it so much, too.”
“Oh, is Amanda here too?” Edward surprises.
“Where’s she, by the way?” Terrence specifies.
“She’s there!” Harold exclaims. “Coming here!”
The men move their eyes aside and see Amanda smiling widely and really running to them.
“Terrence!” Amanda whoops happily.
“Amanda!” Terrence exclaims with a wide smile. “Hi, my sweetheart!”
Terrence squats down and hugs Amanda sweetly, while she answers him back with pleasure. And when he steps away from her, he looks at the little girl as he holds her hands.
“Wow, you’re so beautiful today! Did your mother dress you up like this?”
“Yes, Mommy helped me!” Amanda replies with a wide smile. “You like it?”
“Really like.”
“Mommy and Mr. Cameron say I look like a princess.”
“You’re not just a princess, sweetie, you’re a little copy of a bride,” Daniel says amicably with a slight smile.
“Oh, the brides are so beautiful! They’re like princesses, too! So beautiful, so happy! But they’re crying a lot. But Mommy says they are from happiness.”
“Harold’s informed us already,” Peter notices.
“Hey, where’s the second groom? Where’s Edward? Is he as handsome as Terrence? Looks like a prince?”
“I’m here!” Edward reacts, coming to Amanda with a slight smile. “And you’re the only one to decide if I look like a prince!”
“Edward!”
Amanda runs to Edward happily, while the man gets down to his knee and takes her in a hug that she accepts with pleasure. And she steps away, she looks at the groom with admiration, while Terrence gets up, watches what’s happening with a slight smile, along with the others, pulls down his jacket, and fixes his sleeves a little.
“How handsome you are!” Amanda admires with a gloss in her eyes. “You’re so irresistible!”
“Thanks, sweetie,” Edward thanks. “You’re beautiful too. Really look like a princess.”
“Terrence and you kinda really came from the pages of a tale about a charming prince.”
“Maybe we did,” Edward smiles mysteriously. “And there must be our princesses, to whom we’re gonna get married soon.”
“They’ll come soon, don’t worry! My cousin Raquelle and Ms. Rochester can’t wait to see you.”
“Hey, kids, what about the bridesmaids?” Cody asks. “They probably dressed up, too?”
“Oh, the girls are all stunning!” Harold smiles widely, while Edward gets up on his feet.
“They’ve got really beautiful dresses!” Amanda notices. “I’m delighted by them!”
“Uh-huh, the adults started to cry when the brides showed up in their dresses,” Harold confesses.
“Oh, guys, you’re teasing us!” Benjamin exclaims, hugging Amanda and Harold by the shoulders. “We wanna see them much more now.”
“By the way, they talked a lot about what you’d be like. They were sure everyone would be delighted.”
“It couldn’t be otherwise,” Christopher says with his head proudly raised, stroking his hair down. “We’re all dressed up beautifully. Truly handsome boys, who are ready to win girls’ hearts.”
All the men laugh shyly and say nothing, while Harold and Amanda look at what’s happening around them with interest and smile widely, definitely being delighted by what they see for the first time. And at some moment, the boy moves his eyes to Sammy sniffing something on the bright green grass.
“Wow, doggy!” Harold exclaims happily.
“Dog…” Amanda pronounces a little hesitantly.
“By the way, yeah, we forgot to tell you about this bandit,” Peter says thoughtfully.
“Sammy, come to me!” Ryan exclaims and makes a gesture to call Sammy. “Come to me, boy!”
When Sammy comes to Ryan, he brings him to Amanda and Harold.
“Don’t be afraid, guys, he doesn’t bite,” Ryan says confidently.
“Is he kind?” Amanda asks hesitantly.
“More than,” Peter smiles, caressing the head of Sammy wagging his tail. “Pet him, guys, don’t be afraid. He does love this thing!”
Harold comes determinedly to Sammy, who sniffs him shyly and lets him caress his head, wagging his tail amicably.
“He’s so sweet!” Harold exclaims.
“Amanda, pet him,” Daniel suggests. “Feel free. Reach out your hand to him so that he sniffs it.”
“Wouldn’t he bite me?” Amanda rounds her eyes.
“C'mon, girl!” Kevin exclaims. “Sammy is the kindest doggy ever!”
“C’mon, Amanda, be brave!” Peter exclaims. “Look at how brave Harry is. Take an example from him.”
Amanda hesitates for two moments before she comes to Sammy very hesitantly, lets him sniff her hand, and caresses his head tenderly. She relaxes little by little and starts smiling wider and wider, while the dog accepts the caress with pleasure, not stopping to wag his tail and sniffing the children he liked so much.
“Ha, ha, he’s so good,” Amanda laughs shyly.
“Blair told me about this doggy!” Harold confesses. “And I wanted to see him! I’ve dreamed about a dog for my whole life, but can’t do it.”
“The girls had been playing with him for half an hour before their mothers took them away,” Peter smiles shyly. “And definitely got happy.”
“What’s your name, baby? You have a name?”
“It’s Sammy,” Blake replies with a slight smile. “His full name is Samuel, but he likes being called Sammy more.”
Sammy barks quietly as if he says he is happy to meet Amanda and Harold, sits down, and gives his paw so that they shake it.
“Hey, hey, Sammy,” Amanda says with a wide smile, shaking Sammy by the paw, and then Harold does the same.
“So, children, you obviously have something to do today,” Edward smiles shyly.
“So, is this dog really as kind as my sister said?” Harold concludes.
“He shows aggression in just one case – when he protects his close people from bad people,” Christopher replies confidently. “And this dog loves getting attention and asks for love and care all the time.”
“Wow… That’s what you are, Sammy…”
Sammy barks confidently two times.
“So, nice to meet you!” Harold exclaims.
“He, he, he’s so big, but he’s so sweet and educated,” Amanda laughs. “Wow, you’ve got such soft hair!”
“And how warm he is! You can press him to yourself in the cold weather so that you feel warm.”
“He’d be happy to press himself to someone,” Kevin assumes.
“Listen, Harry, Amanda, don’t ya wanna play with him before the ceremony begins?” Daniel suggests.
“Yes, I want!” Harold exclaims.
“Can we?” Amanda asks.
“Of course, you can,” Peter says.
“But be careful, please,” Edward smiles shyly. “And don’t run too far.”
“Alright, we won’t do!” Harold makes a gesture to call Sammy. “Let’s go, doggy!”
“Show us everything here!”
Sammy runs after Amanda and Harold, while the men watch them with a slight smile on their faces. And when they get busy with their talk again, Anna comes to them secretly and lets them know about her when she stands behind Daniel:
“Hey, everybody.”
Anna closes Daniel’s eyes with her hands, but he does not get scared and smiles shyly because he understands whom these tender hands belong to, while the other men look at the girl with interest.
“M-m-m, what a beauty I see!” Blake exclaims happily.
“Yay, the girls have finally come!” Christopher smiles widely.
“A-a-a, finally!” Kevin exclaims happily.
“And I know who’s the first one to be honored to join us,” Daniel says with a shy smile.
Two seconds later, Anna moves her hands off Daniel’s eyes and gets a sweet kiss on the cheek from him, and gives him the same.
“You all are handsome, guys!” Anna exclaims, looking at everybody with a slight smile. “Dressed up, brushed your hair, used a perfume…”
“We’re, undoubtedly, irresistible,” Kevin smiles shyly. “But you’re an eternal beauty!”
“Thanks.”
Anna hugs all the men with a shy smile and shares an amicable kiss on the cheek with them, while her cheeks blush after every compliment from them. Then Daniel hugs her by the waist and raises his head proudly, letting his friends know that this sweet beauty belongs to him only.
“Where are the other girls?” Peter frowns slightly. “Where are your friends, Anna?”
“They will come now, don’t worry,” Anna smiles shyly.
“Yeah, it’s getting better!” Kevin exclaims. “We can start getting ready for the ceremony.”
“Yeah… I see almost everyone has come.”
“And we’ve already talked to everybody,” Terrence replies amicably.
“Oh, yeah, Anna!” Daniel exclaims. “Your parents were looking for you! They asked you to come to them after coming here.”
“I’d talked to him before coming to you,” Anna smiles shyly. “though I thought they wouldn’t come ‘til the very end.”
“But they did!” Peter exclaims.
“By the way, what were you laughing at? A stupid thing again?”
“Why is it a stupid thing?” Christopher wonders.
“We’re just distracting the grooms from excitement and trying to cheer them up,” Jeremy replies, clapping Edward on the shoulder.
“Uh-huh, our bros are standing super pale,” William adds, hugging Terrence by the shoulders. “They’re about to faint here.”
“I get it,” Anna pronounces amicably. “We also distracted Natalia and Raquelle by talking the whole way. The brides can barely keep their emotions inside not to cry and ruin the makeup.”
“Harry and Amanda said the girls are very beautiful,” Edward smiles shyly.
“You and Edward will judge them,” Anna replies amicably, bending her arms at the elbows and locking her fingers tightly. “But I think you’re gonna be delighted.”
“Oh, c’mon, bring the brides here now!” Daniel jabs funnily. “Don’t ya see the grooms can’t wait to see them and get married?”
“Patience, guys, patience,” Anna smiles mysteriously. “Natalia and Raquelle are getting ready to come.”
“I hope they ain’t gonna leave our friends?” Benjamin asks.
“They ain’t, don’t worry.”
Anna hugs Daniel tighter with a slight smile, putting her arms around his waist, and fixes his tie a little. And at this moment, Helene smiling widely comes to them, holding the edge of her dress and walking carefully on her high heels.
“Hey, boys!” Helene waves her hand with a wide smile. “You all are really gorgeous!”
“Hey, Helene!” the men whop happily.
The men smiling widely start looking at the second beauty in the same gorgeous dress as Anna’s dress. Helene greets all of them with a strong hug and an amicable kiss on the cheek.
“Hey, Edward, Terrence, what’s your mood?” Helene asks amicably, while Peter hugs her tightly with both arms and presses her to himself. “Haven’t you changed your mind?”
“Wonderful!” Edward exclaims.
“Exciting,” Terrence replies.
“Damn, girls, bring the brides here already!” Christopher sighs tiredly. “Don’t waste time!”
“Yes, cuties, make them beautiful and bring them here!” Kevin adds confidently.
“Soon, guys, soon,” Helene smiles mysteriously. “We can assure you that the result is even better than we expected.”
“We don't doubt it,” Benjamin smiles mysteriously. “And knowing that one of the grooms is sentimental, and the second one repeats after him, I took a bottle of ammonia with me.”
“That’s how…” Anna laughs shyly.
“I think we’re gonna need this thing ‘cause the grooms are too sensitive today.”
“We won’t, if someone brings the brides here as soon as possible,” Ryan replies confidently.
“Oh, we will need it when they show up here!”
“You’d better hold on too!” Helene exclaims. “You watch the grooms, but what if you collapse at the beauty you’re gonna see soon.”
“You’re teasing us, girls,” Cody says thoughtfully.
“Don’t do this,” Joseph adds.
“Anyway, we’ve warned you, boys,” Anna warns. “Watch the grooms, but don’t forget about you.”
“Hey, cuties, stop torturing my bros!” William pours, hugging Edward around the shoulders.
“You just look at them, how worried they are!” Jeremy adds, putting his arm around Terrence’s neck.
“Indeed, girls!” Peter agrees cheerfully. “Stop teasing Terrence, Edward, and all of us!”
“Give the brides to our dearest friends!” Daniel demands funnily.
“You’re kinda too impatient, gentlemen,” Helene laughs shyly.
“Brides!” Blake exclaims. “We wanna see the brides! Brides! Brides!”
“You’ll see the brides, calm down,” Anna replies confidently. “When the ceremony begins, you’ll see our beauty.”
“Please…” all the men pronounce, looking at Anna and Helene with pity in their eyes.
“Enough, boys, calm down,” Helene smiles slyly. “You’re kinda too excited. When you heard about the beautiful brides, you got too restless. Just like Sammy, when someone talks about meat or female dogs.”
“Well, since you two are so stunning, the brides must be much more beautiful one hundred percent.” Christopher assumes with a wide smile.
“Oh, we haven’t seen the other girls yet,” Blake notices cheerfully. “What’s gonna happen when we see all of them? M-m-m… I’m even afraid to imagine…”
“Maybe they will bring the brides to the grooms?” Daniel asks, pressing Anna closely to himself. “Our cuties don’t rush to show them. As if they don’t wanna give them!”
“Yeah, are you so sure we’ll give our friends so easily?” Helene surprises. “You thought we’d come, admire you, and let the grooms see them? Uh-h-h, no, gentlemen…”
“You know, sweetie, we won’t also give the grooms for beautiful eyes,” Peter says confidently. “Of course, you, girls, are undoubtedly beautiful, but we won’t succumb to it. No, no, don’t even ask!”
“Just like we won’t succumb to your handsomeness,” Anna smiles innocently.
“And you, girls, don’t be mean and bring your friends to us.”
“Sorry, Pete, but the brides are gonna come here with our permission.”
“Maybe we can agree somehow? As friends!”
“Depending on what you can offer us,” Helene smiles mysteriously.
“Guarantee!” Benjamin exclaims. “The guarantee that your friends will be very happy with the grooms and won’t regret deciding to become their wives.”
“Yes, yes, we, the groomsmen, confirm it!” Daniel adds confidently. “And the grooms swear to praise the girls!”
“Natalia will live like a queen with me!” Edward says with his head proudly raised. “You do know how much I adore my gorgeous, blue-eyed blonde.”
“And you know I can’t live without my beloved and gorgeous Raquelle,” Terrence adds. “Yes, maybe she loves being a mean bitch, but I love her anyway.”
“You say, guarantee…” Helene pronounces with a sly smile.
“What are you gonna say, my dear Helene?” Anna addresses Helene with a shy smile. “Is this a good argument to let the grooms see the brides? Or should they and the groomsmen keep trying to assure us that our friends are gonna be happy?”
“I don’t even know… It’s a hard question, huh… The one we need to think about very well…”
“Please, girls…” Cody begs. “Be nice…”
Helene and Anna say nothing for several seconds and smile slyly, while the men look at them in a begging way.
“Okay…” Helene pronounces with a sly smile. “Since the grooms insist so badly, let it happen! Let’s give them a chance.”
“I think it’s gonna be a good decision,” Anna smiles slyly.
“I don’t personally doubt Edward and Terrence and know they love Raquelle and Natalia with all their hearts. Both of them will be wonderful husbands for our girls.”
“So, should we give our agreement?”
“Yup!”
“Okay, beauties, now we want to hear what you can offer so that we give the grooms,” Benjamin says confidently, locking his hands tightly.
“Yeah, our charming ladies, what are your suggestions?” Daniel asks.
“Tell us everything, and my friends and I will think,” Peter adds.
“Guarantee, as well!” Anna exclaims. “The guarantee that the grooms will be loved and respected!”
“That’s how…” Joseph smiles slyly.
“They’ll always be fed and dressed up. They’ll never regret wishing to marry Natalia and Raquelle.”
“As the representatives of the brides, we’re confirming the words said by them personally,” Helene adds confidently. “Not once.”
“And to prove it, the brides are gonna personally say all of that when it’s time to give an oath of loyalty,” Anna says with a slight smile.
Joseph, Peter, Benjamin, Daniel, and Cody look at each other with a sly smile and glance at Terrence and Edward at the same time, while the grooms shrug with a slight smile.
“Well, we, the representatives of the grooms, are kinda happy with it,” Daniel says thoughtfully as he strokes his chin.
“I’d be happy with it too, but the final decision is behind most,” Peter adds. “Your verdict, friends? Will we give our boys? Or keep fighting for them?”
The groomsmen say nothing for two seconds to make this moment more exciting and look at each other.
“I am!” Cody exclaims.
“I’m ready to give my friends to the trustworthy girls,” Joseph says confidently.
“May the loving hearts come back together!” Benjamin exclaims.
“So, ladies, let’s think we agreed and got the promise that the guys would be happy,” Peter says confidently.
“It’s not a secret to us that Natalia loves Edward and that Raquelle loves Terrence,” Daniel adds. “The girls won’t let us down! I don’t doubt it.”
“That’s great!” Anna smiles shyly.
“Good for you, good for us!” Helene exclaims.
Everybody laughs shyly, while Daniel gives a five to Peter, and Anna gives a five to Helene. And when they want to continue the talk, they are stopped by the happy bark of Sammy, who is wagging his tail as he runs to his owner and barks quietly.
“Sammy, my baby!” Helene exclaims happily. “My sweetheart! Hey…”
Helene starts caressing Sammy’s head with a wide smile and strokes down his hair while the dog looks at her closely as if he says, “Gosh, Helene, I missed you so much! I haven’t seen you since yesterday!”
“Sammy…” Anna smiles widely and comes closer to Sammy to give him some attention. “Hey, our sweet little boy!”
“Gosh, my boy, how handsome you are today!” Helene pronounces with admiration in her eyes, fixing Sammy’s bow tie slightly. “You put on a bow tie! Wow!”
“Handsome, Sammy, pretty boy!” Anna smiles widely, caressing Sammy’s head. “Just imitable!”
The girls keep giving Sammy caresses for several seconds, while the girl enjoys the attention he has been getting from all the guests who admire him.
“Oh, yeah!” Peter chuckles kindly, crossing his arms over his chest. “This handsome sweetheart almost destroyed everything while playing with the children.”
“Uh-huh, first, two girls were running after him, and then the boy named Harry, Blair’s younger bro, came here,” Kevin adds funnily. “Sammy came to us with disheveled hair and was breathing with his tongue out. The kids got him exhausted!”
“Oh, yeah, these girls are too active,” Christopher notices cheerfully. “But Sammy definitely loves being with them.”
“I’m sure he’ll have something to do while all of us celebrate the wedding,” Helene smiles shyly. “And the children won’t be bored.”
Helene stops caressing Sammy and looks at the men, but the dog barks quietly and nuzzles his nose in her hand.
“What’s wrong, my sweetheart?” Helene asks softly. “What? Did you miss me? Yeah?”
When Helene tries to pet Sammy, he starts trying to catch her hand with his paw or mouth, bite it, and lick it.
“Hey, stop!” Helene laughs. “Stop biting my hands, you hear me! Sammy! Whatcha doing? Sammy! Samuel! Stop! Hey! Who do I say it, you, restless dog?”
Helene slaps Sammy slightly on the nose, and he barks quietly and takes her hand softly while Anna presses herself to Daniel and laughs shyly as she watches her friend. However, Marshall sets her hand free quickly, presses the doggy to herself, and caresses him tenderly to calm him down. He settles down quickly and just looks at his owner with a loyal glance, enjoying her caress and wagging his tail amicably.
“Listen, guys, do I have time to drink something before the ceremony?” Kevin asks.
“Oh, hey, I saw they’re offering cool drinks here!” Blake exclaims. “Let’s go check them and drink something?”
“I’m with you, men!” Jeremy jabs.
“Me too!” Ryan says confidently.
“Me too, me too!” Christopher exclaims.
“So, men, go nowhere!” Kevin says confidently. “And you wait for us, beauties. We’ll just drink water and come back.”
“Go, go, guys,” William says funnily. “We’ll also find a place.”
Kevin, Ryan, Benjamin, Blake, William, Christopher, and Jeremy leave the others, starting to talk on the way about something funny that makes them laugh shyly.
“Hey, did the guys from ‘The Loser Syndrome’ come here?” Helene surprises, looking at the side where she sees Zachary, Bradley, and Liam.
“What? ‘The Loser Syndrome?’” Anna rounds her eyes. “They’re here? The four?”
“Nope, I see only Liam, Zach, and Brad. Nathan is not with them. And they say he actually left the band.”
“The guys said they decided to come when their show had been cancelled at the last moment,” Edward smiles shyly. “The lads didn’t promise to be here before.”
“Cool!” Helene exclaims with a wide smile.
“Uh-huh, the single girls and men have a big choice,” Benjamin shrugs.
“Hey, girls, where are all your friends?” Daniel asks. “Why don’t they come to us?”
“Went on different sides,” Anna replies thoughtfully. “Someone’s talking to guests, someone goes to drink, and someone is not seen…”
“Yeah, Harry is talking to Amanda, Hailey, and Shannon,” Helene smiles shyly.
“And I finally saw the way Parker looks next to children,” Terrence notices with a quiet chuckle. “He's always dreamed of playing with a little play. And his dream has come true. He always says, ‘I want a son! I want a boy!’”
“Think I’m just practicing,” Benjamin replies shyly.
“Uh-huh, you’re soon gonna practice with the boy, who’s gonna be taller than you,” Cody says funnily.
“I’m sure it’s gonna happen,” Anna smiles shyly. “Harry’s about to reach Blair and get closer to Ben, as well.”
“Somewhere by sixteen or seventeen,” Helene agrees.
“But he’s actually a good boy,” Peter notices with a slight smile.
“Agree,” Helene laughs. “And Harry promised to bring Blair to the altar if she gets married to Ben.”
“Oh, I’m afraid Harry will have to wait for a long time,” Terrence replies thoughtfully. “You know how long Parker was growing up to just dating a girl. It will take a long time before he decides to marry.”
“Uh-huh, I think he’ll do this when he’s forty or fifty,” Joseph replies funnily.
Sammy barks quietly but confidently two times. During the silence that settles in the air, the girls just smile shyly, and the men look at them with admiration they cannot and do not want to hide. At some moment, Cassidy and Jessica show up out of nowhere. The first one runs to Daniel in a jump and gives him a slap on the back of his head, and the second one comes to Peter from the side and claps him on the shoulder strongly, in a man’s style.
“Hey, hi, bro!” Cassidy pronounces funnily.
“Yo, hi, Rose!” Jessica waves her hands.
“M-m-m, judging by the ‘tender’ hit I got on my head, I can confidently say that this is my beloved younger sissy,” Daniel says thoughtfully.
“And I do recognize this powerful hand of the ‘tender and fragile’ girl that can easily leave a bruise under your eye,” Peter says funnily.
Laughing shyly, Jessica and Cassidy greet all the men with an amicable hug and a slight clap on the shoulder or the back, while Olivia, Emma, and Odette come to them.
“Hi, everyone,” Odette and Emma smile shyly.
“Are the most handsome men here?” Olivia asks.
“Gosh, how many beauties are gonna make us happy today!” Benjamin pronounces with a wide smile and greets the girls with an amicable kiss on the cheek, just like the other men do.
“Glad to see you, girls,” Cody pronounces.
“It’s been a while,” Joseph notices.
“Oh, you have a dog here,” Olivia smiles shyly, glancing at Sammy standing next to Helene.
“It’s my boy,” Helene confesses. “The one I told you about.”
“Is that your doggy?” Emma surprises.
“Oh, gosh, he’s so cute…” Odette pronounces.
“It’s Sammy,” Anna introduces.
Sammy barks quietly two times and starts sniffing the girls he does not know yet with interest.
“Hey, don’t dare to rip my dress!” Olivia warns, “I don’t have a reserved one!”
Sammy spends several seconds sniffing Olivia, Emma, and Odette and lets them caress him with Helene’s permission, wagging his tail amicably.
“Hey, grooms, how are you doing?” Emma asks.
“Haven’t you changed your mind about marrying?” Olivia asks.
“No way,” Terrence says confidently.
“You can’t do this,” Edward adds.
“That’s good,” Emma replies. “The girls are worried 'cause they think you wanna leave them.”
“Oh, don’t make us laugh, cuties!” Benjamin puts his hand on his heart. “I am begging you!”
“We can only see it in a nightmare,” Daniel adds confidently.
Sammy barks quietly and gets some attention from Peter, who caresses his head.
“Ya-a-a-ay, bro…” Cassidy laughs quietly and looks Daniel from head to foot. “You dressed up! Walking here like a turkey before the fellows!”
“Like a pretty boy, not a turkey!” Daniel protests with his head proudly raised.
“Wow… I thought you’d come here with a nest that you had on your head this morning. But not, you decided to look like a good man! Brave, Danny, bravo!”
“M-m-m, and I can’t believe I’ve finally seen you in a dress and with makeup and a hairstyle!” Daniel chuckles kindly. “Mom and Dad would’ve been so happy if they’d seen their daughter finally looking like a girl. Not like a freaking scarecrow!”
“Well, you said I wouldn’t be able to dress up and get a good makeup on my own!”
“Wanna make me sure you did everything?”
“Of course!”
“Oh, c’mon, Cass!” Daniel puts his hand on his heart. “You wouldn’t have done this makeup. And wouldn’t have chosen a good dress.”
“Yeah, the dress isn’t mine. Your red beauty Anna borrowed it for me for today.”
“You didn’t wanna go to a shop and buy. So, Anna came to help you and turned the scarecrow into a pretty sweetie.”
“Hey, you are a scarecrow!” Cassidy hits Daniel on the forearm. “Why the fuck do you shame me in front of the guests? And actually, you could play along with me and lie a little.”
“Want me to laugh loudly when saying it and holding my stomach?” Daniel chuckles kindly. “Oh, no, I’m a bad liar in this case.”
“Oh, oh, as if you were getting ready without your friends’ help!”
“You won’t believe, Cass, but I did it by myself!”
“Come on?”
“Yes! And unlike someone, I made sure I’d look good by ordering a gorgeous suit some time before today.”
“You finally dressed up well!”
“I always dress up well! At least, I’ve never worn girls’ clothes.”
“I’m surprised that you didn’t come here naked. You do love walking in what you were born.”
“Keep your mouth shut, Cassidy!” Daniel throws gloomily. “You’re in a good society now!”
“Oh, oh, oh, oh…”
“Just don’t start it, guys, I’m begging you,” Helene sighs tiredly. “Having the MacClife brothers is enough for us!”
“No, guys, you’d better look at this creature!” Peter adds and turns Jessica on everybody, holding her by the shoulders. “This girl put on a long dress, did makeup, and got her hair done for the first time ever! She even went to a hair salon and dyed her roots!”
“Don’t listen to him, guys!” Jessica exclaims. “When I have to, I, okay, put on dresses and pretend to be some sort of a lady or a princess.”
“My gosh…” Peter pronounces, looking at Jessica with a sly smile. “I didn’t think I’d see Jessica Samantha Taylor in a dress, with makeup and a gorgeous hairstyle!”
“You wanna only laugh!”
“Damn, girl… As it turned out, you’re a beauty when you’re dressed up!”
“Uh-huh, and I feel like I put on a mask of a random girl. I completely support Cassidy that wearing dresses and having makeup is not a very nice thing.”
“You know, sweetie, beauty is pain. And since you, blonde, decided to dress up today, the men are gonna stand in the queue to dance with you.”
“Uh-huh, would ya teach me to dance a slow dance?”
“Me? Why should I do this?”
“What? You’re my best friend! And you can’t let me screw it up during a dance?”
“You should’ve thought earlier, Taylor. Though you would’ve hardly learned to dance ‘cause you should be tender and soft when dancing. And it’s not about you, my sweetie. If you dance something, you dance only a robot dance.”
“Oh, by the way, two handsome guys walked by me.” Jessica smiles mysteriously. “So sympathetic… M-m-m… One is more handsome than another… I’d hook up with one of them…”
“Wow, guys!” Peter smiles widely, moving his eyes to his friends. “Look at what happens when you have the right clothes, hairstyle, and makeup! My friends didn’t wanna think of anything like this some time ago. But now she has a crush on men and calls someone handsome.”
“C’mon, blond, stop working your tongue!” Jessica throws gloomily, crossing her arms over her chest.
“He’s telling the truth, sweetie,” Helene smiles innocently.
“Here you go, as well… Oh…”
Jessica sighs quietly with her eyes rolled up, while everybody laughs shyly, looking at each other.
“Hey, Edward, Terrence, how are you doing?” Jessica asks.
“Just wonderful,” Edward replies amicably.
“Ready to see the princesses craving to see you?”
“Been ready since the early morning,” Terrence says confidently.
“Where are they now?” Edward asks. “When will Natalia and Raquelle come here?”
“The girls are getting advice from their families, and they’re trying to calm them down,” Cassidy says happily. “Our brides are so excited that their cosmetics almost rolled down from tears.”
“Oh, can’t wait to see them…” Cody sighs tiredly.
“Uh-huh, so that our grooms finally calm down and exhale,” Benjamin says confidently.
The girls say nothing and just smile shyly, and Cassidy looks aside at some moment and sees Liam, Bradley, and Zachary talking to Kylie and Melissa.
“Wait, guys…” Cassidy frowns slightly. “Are those the guys from ‘The Loser Syndrome?’ Are they talking with Kylie and Melissa?”
“What, what?” Jessica jabs excitedly.
“Kylie and Mel are jumping around them,” Helene laughs shyly, watching Kylie and Melissa talk to Liam, Zachary, and Bradley.
“No, no, you better watch Chris and Kev staring at Mel and Kylie,” Anna chuckles kindly. “Definitely wanna meet them.”
“All the men just wanted to look at their colorful hair,” Benjamin replies confidently.
“Huh, not just hair!” Edward chuckles kindly.
“Listen, Dan, can I dye my hair the same color?” Cassidy asks, taking Daniel under an arm and pressing herself to him. “It’s so beautiful! I was overwhelmed when I saw their hair for the first time!”
“What?” Daniel opens his eyes wider. “No! Don’t even think! I don’t know what I’ll do to you if someday you go home with a colorful head!”
“C’mon, bro. If you washed your head multiple times, the paint would be gone.”
“I said, ‘No,’ Cassidy! I am banning you!”
“Hey! It’s just hair!”
“No!”
“At least a couple of strands!”
“No, I said!”
“Danny…”
“You heard what I said? No, that’s all!”
“You’re an idiot!” Cassidy throws gloomily and shows her tongue to Daniel. “Idiot!”
“Hey, stop swearing!” Daniel demands harshly. “Behave yourself! Or you'll go home now!”
“What can I do if you’re really an idiot?”
“Don’t shame me, Cassidy. You aren’t at home. You’re in a society. A good society. In which there are people I can’t shame myself for.”
“What am I doing?”
“Ar-r-r, don’t irritate me, kid!”
“It does always happen!” Cassidy exhales sharply. “This big one can do everything, and I can do nothing…”
“Oh, damn…” Daniel rolls his eyes up. “Unbearable girl…”
“C’mon, Daniel,” Jessica says amicably. “Let the girl experiment.”
“Yes, Daniel, girls love making experiments with hair,” Olivia notices.
“What’s wrong with her dying her hair a different color?” Odette wonders.
“She’s got hair issues!” Daniel exclaims. “If she starts dying it, she’ll lose it! And this girl will be bald!”
“A paint would be washed off quickly and wouldn’t harm hair,” Emma notices. “Permanent one would really harm hair, while a temporary one doesn’t.”
“C’mon, ladies, he’s just mean and acting like a stubborn donkey,” Cassidy throws gloomily.
“That’s our Daniel,” Edward laughs quietly. “Mean and nasty.”
“I said everything!” Daniel exclaims confidently. “When she heals her hair, she will be experimenting! And I’m gonna think whether I’ll allow her!”
“But, bro…” Cassidy whines with pity in her eyes, taking Daniel under his arm. “My sweetheart… My kind bro… My pretty boy, smart guy… Let me…”
“You didn’t hear me?”
“Please!” Cassidy starts jumping in front of Daniel, not stopping to look at him with pity in her eyes. “Please, please, please!”
“Hey, hey, hey, hey!” Daniel jabs. “Don’t jump here like a goat! Your dress is long, and you’re wearing shoes with heels!”
“Don’t worry, Dan!” Cassidy replies funnily, still jumping happily around Daniel. “I have no heels!”
“What do you mean?”
Cassidy starts laughing quietly and raises the edge of her dress at some moment.
“Hey, stop, stop?” Daniel opens his eyes widely, taking Cassidy under her arm and turning her on himself. “Did you put on sneakers and a dress? Seriously, Cassidy?”
“But what’s wrong?” Cassidy smiles innocently.
“Seriously, Cassidy? Snickers?”
“Oh, who would see what I have under this skirt? It’s so long that I could sweep up all the floors!”
“Damn, what kind of sneakers and a long dress? How long did you think before putting them on?”
“Pretend that you saw nothing. And I’ll say nothing. And won’t raise my dress up so that everybody can see my sneakers and my lace knickers that annoy me by getting into my ass.”
“Watch your mouth, Cassidy!” Daniel throws gloomily.
Cassidy imitates the way Daniel said these words, while he looks at her a little gloomily and raises the edge of her dress slightly, seeing that his sister is really wearing sneakers with a beautiful, long dress.
“Yeah, maybe I don’t get something about the female fashion…” Terrence says thoughtfully. “But I surely know that these dresses can’t be put on along with sneakers.”
“Ugh, damn these hooves!” Cassidy waves her hand. “They hurt my legs! I can’t stand and walk on them! And I look like a cow on ice.”
“Get used to it, girl,” Edward replies confidently.
“The other girls wear shoes with heels and don’t complain,” Joseph adds.
“Uh-huh, look!” Peter exclaims and raises the edge of Jessica’s dress. “Even Jessica put on shoes with heels, even though I had always seen her wearing sneakers.”
“I will not wear shoes with heels!” Cassidy says loudly. “I will do only if I wish to make everyone have fun with my ‘wonderful’ walk from the hip on shoes with a high heel or break my arms and legs.”
“You could at least put on shoes with no heels,” Helene notices amicably. “Flats, for example… They fit a long dress, as well.”
“Yeah, Anna had something! But I couldn’t take a step ‘cause they hurt my feet a lot. If I put them on, Dan would have to carry me in his arms for a whole evening.”
“Right, you should’ve thought earlier!” Daniel exclaims. “Not chosen clothes two hours before leaving!”
“Shut up better! When we were leaving, you were still in bed and refused to get up! I guess, the men annoyed you with calls, and you were pleased to get up, after this.”
“Hey, when did you put on sneakers?” Olivia asks. “And where did you get them?”
“She put them in a packet with the cosmetics,” Anna explains. “But I noticed it only at Natalia’s home.”
“That’s okay she didn’t take a potato bag and put it on instead of this beautiful dress,” Daniel replies funnily.
“I would’ve better put a bag!” Cassidy throws gloomily.
“C’mon, Cass, the dress is beautiful,” Emma smiles slyly.
“Well, okay, okay! I can handle this dress somehow! But shoes with ten- or twenty-centimeter heels, excuse me.”
“Oh, thank you for that!” Daniel rolls his eyes.
“Hey, guys, why’s your Danny so mean?” Cassidy addresses the men. “Didn’t ya let him get as drunk as fuck? Is that why he’s walking so nervously?”
“If you don’t wanna be ashamed, don’t raise your skirt. Don’t hurt the aesthetic feelings of the ladies, who are here.”
“As you want, my beloved bro.”
Sammy barks shyly so that someone pays attention to him and gets some caresses from Anna, who caresses his head and yanks him softly by the ears. At some moment, Rebecca and Jamie interrupt their talk shyly.
“Guys, the ceremony is about to start,” Jamie says confidently. “The brides and their families have arrived.”
“Take you places, men and girls,” Rebecca smiles shyly. “It’s starting now.”
“What?” Edward rounds his eyes.
“The ceremony is starting?” Terrence stops breathing.
“Yes, bandits, get ready,” Jamie confirms.
“Good luck, sweetie,” Rebecca smiles widely. “Fear nothing. It’s gonna be okay. We’re near.”
Jamie claps Terrence and Edward on the shoulder, and Rebecca caresses her sons' cheek softly before they go somewhere aside in a quick step.
“So, we’ll go to take places, then,” Jessica says with a slight smile. “Good luck, Edward! Good luck, Terrence!”
“Yeah, good luck, pretty boys!” Cassidy exclaims.
Jessica and Cassidy come quickly to the guests, who are looking for a place to sit down, and then Olivia, Cody, Joseph, Odette, Benjamin, and Emma leave. While the pale Terrence and Edward being terribly excited look around a little scarily as they shift their weight from one foot to another and pull the sleeve of the jacket or the tie.
“Hey, don’t sleep, guys, don’t sleep!” Peter exclaims cheerfully, clapping Edward on the shoulder. “Your wedding will start now! Hear me? Don’t fall into a trance!”
“Hey, are you able to go to the altar?” Daniel asks, clapping Terrence on the shoulder. “Or should we bring you there, holding your hands?”
“Hello, pretty boys, why are ya standing like columns? Did ya hear what your parents said? The ceremony is about to begin!”
“C’mon, move your butts! Now!”
While Anna, Raquelle, and Helene go aside, and Sammy finds Scarlett and runs to her with a loud bark, Peter and Daniel clap Terrence and Edward on the shoulder or head by one, take them under their arms, and take them somewhere, passing by the guests trying to choose the best place or ask the organizers for help, who also seat the grooms’ guests on one side and the brides’ guest on the other one. At some moment, two young, middle-height boys, a blond and a brunet, show up from nowhere, breathing heavily enough and wearing suits. Seeing the grooms and their friends, the two stop them, clapping both of them on the shoulder with a slight smile on their faces.
“Hey, hi, grooms,” the blond guy with a pierced ear greets with a heavy breath.
“Hey, guys…” the dark-haired guy with a tattoo on the front of his hands in the form of flowers pronounces and exhales sharply.
“Derek? Gordon?” Edward surprises with a wide smile, hugs the men amicably, and claps them on the back. “Wow! I didn’t hope you’d come!”
“Damn, are we late?” the brunet rounds his eyes.
“No, no, it’s okay,” Edward says quietly.
“You’re in time,” Terrence adds.
“Oh…” the blond man exhales sharply. “That’s good! We were freaking worried!”
“Hey, Daniel, hey, Peter…” the brunet man greets amicably.
“Hey, Gordon,” Daniel and Peter pronounce amicably and hug Gordon by one.
“Hey, men, glad to see you!” the blond guy adds.
“Same, Derek,” Daniel and Peter greet Derek, too.
“How are you doing?”
“Excellent!” Peter raises his thumb up. “The mood is better than ever!”
“Sorry, guys, we have no time for talks,” Edward expresses regret. “The ceremony will start now. We will talk later. Now go to take places.”
“Okay, deal!” Gordon clicks his fingers.
“See ya later,” Derek adds.
“Good luck, Edward!” Gordon and Derek pronounce at the same time. “Good luck, Terrence! It’s gonna be okay!”
Derek and Gordon turn and go quickly to the guests still taking free places or sitting already and talking to someone while waiting for the grooms and brides. Edward, Daniel, Terrence, and Peter do not waste time and also go where they should be. But later, Christopher, Blake, Ryan, Kevin, Jeremy, and William stop them after looking at something or someone for a long time instead of sitting and deciding to show it to the men.
“Guys, guys, guys!” Blake whoops loudly, happily, and claps Edward and Terrence on the shoulder. “Come here! Now!”
“You’re gonna be overwhelmed!” William exclaims excitedly.
“We saw the brides!” Kevin smiles widely, being excited. “We saw the brides!”
“What?” Terrence surprises. “Saw the brides?”
“Wow, they are cuties!” Christopher notices loudly. “They’d have anyone speechless!”
“Just goddesses of beauty!” Jeremy adds happily.
“Huh?” Edward rounds his eyes. “You saw Natalia?”
“The girls are there!” Blake points at the right side. “They’re there!”
“Just hold on and don’t faint from getting too many emotions,” Ryan jabs. “Or we’ll have to call Parker with ammonia.”
“Breath deeper, Ed!” Christopher insists. “Breathe deeper, Terry!”
“If you feel you’re falling, grab one of us,” Kevin jabs excitedly.
Jeremy and William turn Edward and Terrence on the right side, while Christopher, Kevin, Ryan, and Blake do the same to Daniel and Peter. At some distance from themselves, they really can see Natalia and Raquelle talking to their relatives, who are no less excited than the girls and do not hide their wide smiles and tears that roll down their cheeks. It takes a little time for the brides to pay attention to those who are looking at them. But the girls are more focused on Edward and Terrence, seeing whom makes them smile widely and feel like their eyes get wet with tears and their hearts start beating like crazy. The girls forget everything literally when they see the perfectly dressed-up men looking at them with eyes full of gloss. The brothers literally stop breathing and cannot stop looking at these beauties. They feel really hot in their suits, a wish to pull the shirt and the tie gets stronger, they kind of lack air, and the fast heartbeat echoes in the head determinedly.
“Hey, guys, are you alive?” Daniel chuckles kindly, clicking his fingers before Edward. “MacClifes… Hello! Wake up!”
“They’re out, guys,” Peter laughs quietly and claps Edward on the shoulder. “Du-u-ude, wake up! We’re here!”
“The Earth is calling you, bros!” William exclaims funnily, waving his hands before Terrence and Edward’s faces.
“Hello, guys, we’re here!” Jeremy says, clicking his fingers in front of the grooms’ faces. “Hey…”
However, whatever the friends and brothers do, Edward and Terrence do not care. They keep looking closely at Raquelle and Natalia with admiration in their eyes and a wide smile on their faces. Just like the girls do.
“My God…” Raquelle pronounces in a little shaking voice. “They’re irresistible.”
“They’re so gorgeous…” Natalia notices with tears. “Gosh… Especially, Edward. I dunno what to say.”
“Girls, keep breathing,” Adriana insists. “Just breathe.”
“Yes, sweeties, hold yourself down,” Alicia advises.
“We completely understand you, but still…” Letitia adds.
“My God, how handsome the grooms are!” Frederick admires. “They’re stunning!”
“Our girls can only have the best,” Anthony notices. “Just like they deserve it.”
“The girls are stunning…” Edward pronounces with admiration in his eyes.
“Fabulous…” Terrence agrees.
“The truth is true,” Blake smiles mysteriously. “The girls worked really hard.”
“My mother wouldn’t reject a daughter-in-law like them,” Christopher says thoughtfully with a slight smile. “And I wouldn’t mind dating these gorgeous cuties.”
“What bodies!” Kevin adds excitedly. “What grace! Just two does!”
“I’d get married to one of those beauties right now,” Jeremy confesses with a slight smile.
“Me too, brother…” William smiles widely.
“Yea-a-a-ah, the girls are stunning…” Ryan notices with a slight smile. “Their friends worked really hard on the brides’ looks.”
“Ah, men…” Peter sighs with a wide smile, hugging Daniel around the shoulders. “We’re so lucky today! We’re surrounded by such stunning cuties! They’re undoubtedly beautiful without jewelry, clothes, and makeup, but they’re all goddesses with all of it.”
“That’s true!” Daniel agrees with his head proudly raised. “All the girls are especially beautiful today. Even Cassidy dressed up and looks very good. And for such a beautiful sis, I’m even ready to close my eyes to the fact that she put on sinkers with a long dress.”
After watching Natalia and Raquelle for two seconds, who do not look at them anymore, the men understand that the ceremony is about to start. But there is one little problem: Edward and Terrence do not stop staring at the brides with a wide smile, and have not moved their eyes aside yet.
“Okay, Edward, Terrence, stop staring!” William jabs confidently, clapping Edward on the shoulder. “You’ll look at your beauty better now!”
“You’d better watch them closely, men,” Blake laughs shyly. “Or the grooms may easily faint from getting too many emotions. You know these sentimental people.”
“Eddy, we’re here!” Jeremy exclaims, clicking his fingers in front of Edward’s face. “Hey! Bro!”
“Hello, Terry!” William exclaims, clapping Terrence on the shoulder. “We’re here! Look at us!”
“I’m kinda afraid to imagine what may happen to them on their first marriage night,” Ryan says thoughtfully. “They’re gonna see their cuties in underwear or actually naked and be able to do nothing.”
“MacClifes, wake the fuck up, at last!” Kevin says a little louder and waves his hand in front of Edward’s face. “The ceremony is starting, but you’re standing here like charmed!”
“Hey, pretty boys, the guests are waiting!” Christopher exclaims. “How long are you gonna stay here and watch them?”
Meanwhile, Natalia and Raquelle go aside along with Letitia, Anthony, Adriana, Frederick, and Alicia. That’s what makes Terrence and Edward come back to reality and pay attention to the men not even going to hold down a wish to laugh at them.
“Okay, guys,” Ryan pronounces quietly. “Let’s go before the people take the best places.”
“Watch them, men!” Blake orders, looking confidently at Daniel and Peter. “Having such a tender character, they may not reach the altar and pass out halfway through.”
“Hey, Edward, inhale, exhale!” Christopher jabs loudly, clapping Edward on the shoulders. “Remember how I taught you? Inhale and exhale!”
“Just breathe, buddy, breathe deeply,” Kevin adds cheerfully, clicking his fingers in front of Terrence's face.
“Anyway, Parker promised to keep ammonia ready,” Ryan says confidently.
“Don’t worry, guys,” Jeremy laughs shyly, slightly clapping Edward and Terrence on the shoulder. “If your tender hearts can’t take it, and you faint, we’ll wake you up quickly.”
“Okay, our beloved bros, Dad will bring you to the altar, and then you will have to do it on your own,” William adds cheerfully.
“Shit, get the fuck out of here!” Edward throws gloomily, rolling his eyes up for a second. “Don’t irritate me!”
“Yes, c’mon, get out!” Terrence exclaims.
“Okay, okay!” Christopher raises his hands up. “We’re getting out! Good luck, buddy!”
“Walk down the altar confidently, with your head raised!” Blake advises confidently.
Kevin, Christopher, Blake, Jeremy, and William clap Edward on the shoulder and go to the guests together. And when Peter and Daniel move a little, the grooms stops them, grabbing Perkins and Rose by the wrist.
“Hey, bros, we are asking you to stay,” Terrence says confidently.
“Yeah, idiots, where are you going?” Edward surprises.
“Oh, fuck, let’s go already!” Peter sighs tiredly.
“The people are waiting for you, but you have your heads in the clouds,” Daniel adds.
Edward and Terrence exhale sharply and turn around quietly, while Peter and Daniel follow them. When they come to the right place, they see Olivia, Odette, Emma, Helene, and Anna holding artificial bouquets of flowers, alongside Joseph, Cody, and Benjamin, who do not miss a chance to talk to them.
“Finally!” Anna exclaims loudly. “Where have you been?”
“Everybody took their places, but you’re walking somewhere!” Olivia resents.
“Sorry, beauties,” Peter apologizes. “The grooms fell into a stupor again.”
“And we met Gordon and Derek, who came here late,” Daniel adds.
“Stop, guys, you’ll talk to the guests later,” Emma says confidently. “We’ve got something important to do now.”
“Hey, MacClifes, can you go down the altar?” Cody asks.
“If they don’t do, we’ll carry them!” Benjamin says funnily. “Under a threat of breaking the back.”
“C’mon, guys, why are you so nervous?” Helene wonders. “You have no reason to!”
“It’s gonna be okay, guys!” Anna smiles shyly. “We’re here. We’ll help you if you need it.”
“They’re just in a trance after seeing the brides,” Daniel confesses.
“C’mon?” Benjamin surprises.
“Why didn’t ya call us?” Joseph resents.
“Really!” Cody exclaims. “I wanna look at them too!”
“You wanted to get out to flirt with the bridesmaids,” Daniel recalls.
“It’s okay, guys, you’ll look at the brides too,” Peter calms down. “And watch them get married to our pretty boys.”
“Who are stuck, huh.”
“Hey, MacClifes, are you alive yet?” Cody asks funnily, clicking his fingers in front of the faces of Edward and Terrence, who can barely breathe. “Guys! Hello! Wake up!”
“Are ya stuck?” Benjamin surprises.
“Hey!” Joseph exclaims. “Terrence… Edward… Wake up! Hear me?”
“Ar-r-r-r, I can hear everything!” Terrence throws sharply. “I do! Calm down now!”
“Hey, stop shouting in my ear!” Edward shakes. “And don’t wave your hands!”
“Stay with us, guys!” Emma says confidently.
“And remember, it’s gonna be okay,” Olivia assures.
“Nobody’s gonna leave you,” Odette adds.
While the men and the girls support Terrence and Edward somehow, Jamie comes to them confidently, keeping one hand on the button of his jacket.
“Terrence, Edward, it’s time,” Jamie announces. “The ceremony is starting. I will spend you.”
“Huh?” Edward and Terrence round their eyes.
“Go, bros!” Daniel exclaims with a slight smile, clapping Edward and Terrence on the shoulder as well as Peter. “Go and fear nothing!”
“Good luck to you!” Peter encourages. “Breathe deeper!”
“C’mon, men, you two look stunning!” Benjamin adds. “My word!”
“The brides are gonna be delighted!” Joseph assures.
“Good luck, guys!” Anna exclaims with a slight smile.
“Head up, boys!” Helene encourages funnily.
Terrence and Edward smile shyly at all their friends, move their eyes to Jamie, who calls them again, and come to the beginning of the white path leading to the priest waiting for them and the brides. The guests are sitting on both sides, paying attention to the grooms with a wide smile while they are standing behind, look at what’s happening and smile shyly, breathing heavily enough, and realizing that they can barely stand on their weak legs, and a fast heartbeat echoes in their heads. When a quiet, melodic music starts playing, Jamie looks at Edward and Terrence standing on both of his hands with a slight smile and goes confidently on the path by the guests watching the grooms with a gloss in the eyes, while several photographers and operators take pictures and record videos of this moment from different sides.
Feeling pride and happiness for his sons, Jamie smiles slightly as he hugs Terrence and Edward around the shoulders with the hope of calming them down a little and supporting them. Despite the excitement, the brothers try to hold themselves down and walk on the path confidently, with their heads proudly raised. Their eyes are full of a bright gloss, and a true smile that the grooms share with all the guests shows up on their little pale but happy faces. When the three finally come to the end of the path. Jamie hugs Edward and Terrence tightly, claps them on the cheek, and makes a gesture to ask them to come to the priest, whom both of them shake by the hand. The man sits in the first line next to Rebecca smiling widely and barely holding down tears at such a touching moment, and takes her hand softly. The brothers stand where they should be, turn to all the guests, look at all of them, and smile shyly, while everyone answers them back. Then they look at each other, hug each other with a much wider smile, fold their hands in front of themselves, and start just waiting.
The groomsmen and the bridesmaids get ready to go next. The first ones are Benjamin and Emma. While the other girls fix the men’s ties and button their jackets, and the men themselves fix the ladies’ hair and pull down their dresses, Reynolds, holding a little bouquet of flowers, takes Perkins under his arm and walks by the guests along with him, while someone pictures what’s happening on their mobile phones. They smile shyly at Terrence and Edward, clap them on the shoulder, and go on different sides: the girl goes where the brides should stand, and the man stands behind the grooms. Joseph and Odette walk next, sharing a sweet glance with each other and even saying something. When they come to the finish, the girl smiles shyly at Edward and Terrence and stands next to Emma, and the man claps them on the forearm and joins Parker. Next, Cody and Olivia show up, supporting the grooms in the same way and joining their friends too.
The next couple is Peter and Helene. They share a tender glance, and the girl takes the man under the arm before they walk confidently by the guests and smile at them shyly. When they come to the finish, the lovers clap Edward and Terrence on the shoulder, say something to them, go on different sides, and stand: the girl comes to her friends, and the man joins the groomsmen. Daniel and Anna are the last ones to walk down the path. Hand in hand. They also smile shyly at all the guests and share a tender glance on the way. While Edward and Terrence are still standing in their places, watching what’s happening and talking about every walk as they remain confident enough, and look like they do not doubt that they are irresistible and gorgeous.
The little children walk on the path next. Three boys and three girls holding small baskets of white roses. The girls with cute hairstyles are wearing white dresses, and the boys with well-brushed hair are wearing several gray suits proudly. These guys show up in pairs – a girl and a boy – but at the same time, making all the guests have tender feelings. The eyes of the kids are full of bright gloss, and they are very responsible for their mission, which they were told to do. Though due to their age, they are probably not too used to so much attention and look terribly shy and can sometimes make some awkward movements, which nobody pays attention to. And when they walk by the guests, who take a couple of photos on their phones, the boys come to the groomsmen, and the girls join the bridesmaids.
And some time later, Natalia and Raquelle show up slowly on the turn covered with a big vase of white flowers, smiling widely and looking at everyone with eyes full of tears, barely standing on their feet and squeezing their bouquets. At first, the guests are sitting with their backs to them, but then they turn to the brides, get up at the same time, and make happy whoops and oohs. They start admiring and whispering something like “My God, what beauties!”, “They’re imitable!”, “What beautiful dresses!” “Angels coming from heaven!” “They’re gorgeous!” “Where’d they buy such flawless dresses?” “You just look at them!” “Their beauty can blind!”…
“Fucking shit, they’re imitable!” Cody whispers with a wide smile.
“A-a-a, their beauty is about to blind me!” Joseph covers his eyes with his hand.
“Mamma Mia!” Benjamin pronounces with admiration. “These girls are dolls!”
“That’s what we told you!” Daniel smiles smugly. “We said you’d be admired!”
“Our girls can’t just look bad,” Peter states.
“The MacClifes are lucky!” Cody pronounces cheerfully. “They’ve got the queens!”
“Of course, I knew the brides would be stunning,” Joseph confesses. “But I didn’t think they’d be so beautiful…”
“You just look at the boys,” Helene laughs shyly. “Look at what’s happening to them there.”
“My God, they got so excited as if they’re gonna get married,” Anna notices.
“They only need to see a beautiful girl to start wiping saliva!” Emma exclaims.
“That’s right, did ya see they barely held themselves down when we all showed up for them,” Odette asks.
“If they don’t calm down, Terrence and Edward are gonna do something to them,” Olivia assumes.
When Terrence and Edward see Raquelle and Natalia, they start looking at them only, like charmed, not hiding their wide smiles and starting to twirl the sleeve of the jacket nervously or pull the tie. Even though they are far yet, the brothers can already notice their seductive décolletés and notice silently the female bodies and all their curves that seem very stunning to them. They do not literally blink as they look at the girls with widely open eyes full of admiration, while they lack the air in their lungs, and their hearts beat like crazy. However, Raquelle and Raquelle are also stuck on them after they barely see them from afar. These pretty guys, who disarmed them immediately. Barely breathing, the girls squeeze the wedding bouquets in their sweaty hands, repeating silently under their noses that they must keep standing.
Before the brides’ walk, a slow, beautiful music starts playing. After looking at each other, Daniel, Peter, Anna, and Helene go a little further and start singing a song they all worked together on for a long time. Natalia and Raquelle share a glance, exhale sharply with closed eyes, raise their heads proudly, and start going down the path slowly, right to their beloved men. Both girls shine with happiness and give everyone their shy smiles, squeezing their wedding bouquets with both hands. While they go down the altar slowly but confidently, the photographers picture the brides from all sides, and the directors try to make many good videos for a wedding movie about the soon-to-be married couples. The guests do not hide their wide smiles, the groomsmen are jealous of the grooms kindly and droll over, the bridesmaids whisper and laugh, and the MacClife brothers fall into a stupor and do not literally breathe as they look at their beloved girls. And at some moment, Edward closes his mouth with both hands and exhales slowly with the bridge of his nose squeezed, while Terrence rubs his hands nervously.
“Hey, hey, hey, guys, just don’t forget to breathe,” Benjamin jabs funnily in a whisper, clapping Terrence on the shoulders and massaging them a little.
“You hear us, men?” Cody jabs excitedly. “Men! Breathe deeper! Inhale and exhale, inhale and exhale.”
“You should also give an oath and say, ‘I do’.” Benjamin fixes Edward’s collar slightly.
“We understand that the brides are fucking stunning now, and you want them here and now, but you’ve gotta hold on,” Joseph says cheerfully, fixing Terrence's boutonniere.
“Hey, dude, are ya alive?” Cody asks funnily, as he waves his hands in front of Terrence’s face. “Earth is calling you! Eddy! Terry! Come back to us! He-e-e-ey!”
“Wake up, MacClifes!” Benjamin pronounces funnily, fixing Edward’s boutonniere slightly. “You’re at your wedding! The brides are going down the aisle! Hey, hey…”
“Fuck, guys, get the fuck off me,” Terrence throws gloomily. “Why are ya annoying me?!”
“Hold on, bros, hold on!” Joseph jabs funnily and turns Terrence and Edward on the guests.
“Listen, idiots, get out of here while I’m kind,” Edward demands quietly.
“Don’t forget, I have a bottle of ammonia in case you faint,” Benjamin recalls and claps Edward and Terrence on the shoulders.
“Stop talking bullshit!” Terrence and Edward throw gloomily.
“Don’t worry, you’re gonna come back to normal if you’re too sentimental girls with a tender soul.”
Maybe Terrence or Edward would do something to their friends laughing quietly, but they just growl quietly, look at them gloomily, and take a little step forward, while the singing Peter and Daniel cannot hold down their laughter. Benjamin, Cody, and Joseph chuckle quietly too, but calm down quietly, stand in their places, and continue to watch the brides’ walk down the aisle.
Natalia and Raquelle make a lot of effort to continue to go down the path on their weak legs. They lack air, the heat possesses them, and the heart beats like crazy. Barely hold on not to cry and not to ruin the makeup the stylists worked on for so long. The guests sometimes whisper with those who are sitting next to them and talk about the brides’ looks, while the girls themselves look at each other in hope for support. It’s hard for someone, especially girls and women, to hold down a wish to shed a tear. Just like, for example, in the case of Adriana, Letitia, Rebecca, and Alicia sitting in the first line. However, it’s also madly hard for Frederick, Jamie, and Anthony to control themselves at such an exciting moment when the brides walk by the guests, barely realizing what’s happening.
So, Natalia and Raquelle finally come to Edward and Terrence, along with the song performed by Daniel, Anna, Peter, and Helene, who turned out to be a wonderful quartet. The brothers come to their beloved girls, let them take them under their arms, turn on the priest, and take two steps forward. While the soon-to-be married people look at each other and smile shyly, Daniel, Peter, Helene, and Anna finish the song with a wonderful a cappella singing and come back to their places, while the guests sit down again. When everyone falls into silence, the old-haired priest wearing white clothes starts speaking loudly and clearly in a good enough voice, while the clicks of the camera make sounds regularly from all sides:
“Ladies and gentlemen, dear guests… Today, we came together to join Terrence MacClife and Raquelle Cameron and Edward MacClife and Natalia Rochester in matrimony.”
The priest moves his eyes to the guests smiling truly, while Edward, Natalia, Terrence, and Raquelle hold their sweethearts’ hands tightly as they still try to get rid of the excitement and a sense of a slight shake.
“Since the beginning of their joint way, their love and understanding have been getting stronger,” the priest reads from his paper. “In the end, they decided to keep going on the same way as husband and wife. Dear guests! We came together to become witnesses of them continuing their way. We are celebrating this amazing and happy event that is happening in their life with them.”
Terrence and Raquelle and Edward and Natalia listen closely to every word of the priest and nod with a slight smile on their faces. The girls squeeze their bouquets tightly in their hands and hold their man’s hand, while the men themselves always smile at them tenderly, with love, as they glance at them.
“Now I am addressing you, honorable guests,” the priest says loudly. “If there is someone who can call at least one reason why this man and this woman cannot get married, speak it now or keep silent forever.”
The guests look at each other, seeking the one who might say the marriage of these loving people is impossible, with excitement in their eyes. But fortunately, silence settles in the air. The groomsmen and the bridesmaids also look at each other, shrug with a slight smile, and glance at those who are about to get married. The long silence makes Natalia and Edward and Raquelle and Terrence watching everybody smile shyly and exhale silently with relief.
The priest pronounces a short but beautiful speech and asks the grooms and brides about barriers that would not let them conclude a marriage, but they say nothing and just slightly shake their heads. Edward and Natalia and Terrence and Raquelle sometimes look at each other at times while Daniel, Joseph, Peter, Cody, Benjamin, Anna, Olivia, Odette, Emma, and Helene watch them with a slight smile, look at each other and whisper about something. The girls watch the brides’ dresses so that they look good, fixing them as well as the long veil at times, and the men support the happy but excited grooms, holding down their wish to play the fool on them somehow. The guests are living this emotional and touching moment with all their hearts and do not hide their wide smiles caught by the many cameras of the photographers and the directors. Some men barely hold down their tears of happiness, and women take a handkerchief from their handbags and wipe their eyes carefully as they sniff at times. The little children admire literally everything they see and try to ask their parents something, and the dog Sammy is sitting obediently next to Scarlett, who caresses his head at times.
“Terrence James MacClife, do you take Raquelle Allison Cameron to be your wife?” the priest asks. “Will you love her, respect and take care of her for better or worse, for richer or poorer, and be with her until death do you part?”
“Yes, I do,” Terrence pronounces confidently with a shy smile.
“Raquelle Allison Cameron, do you take Terrence James MacClife to be your husband? Will you love him, respect and take care of him for better or worse, for richer or poorer, and be with him until death do you part?”
“I do,” Raquelle confirms shyly as she nods with a slight smile on her face.
“Edward Robert MacClife, do you take Natalia Emily Rochester to be your wife? Will you love her, respect and take care of her for better or worse, for richer or poorer, and be with her until death do you part?”
“Yes, I do!” Edward replies confidently with a wide smile.
“Natalia Emily Rochester, do you take Edward Robert MacClife to be your husband?” the priest asks. “Will you love him, respect and take care of him for better or worse, for richer or poorer, and be with him until death do you part?”
“Yes, I do!” Natalia pronounces with a wide smile.
Everyone at the wedding ceremony smiles widely, even if they hold their emotions down, while the brides and the grooms pronounce their oaths of loyalty, giving their heart and soul to their speech. Even if they approximately knew what they wanted to say, all words get out of the head, and some of them make everyone laugh kindly. Nevertheless, nobody stops them, nobody rushes them, nobody reproaches them for words… Raquelle and Natalia, Terrence and Edward overcome their emotions successfully and say everything that does not leave anyone indifferent. And when the grooms and the brides finish their speeches, the priest nods with a happy smile and continues to read the text on the paper confidently and clearly, while Peter and Daniel understand that it’s time to share the rings, take the small velvet boxes from the inside pockets of their jackets, and smile shyly when they make sure they are alright.
“But now, Raquelle and Terrence, Natalia and Edward, I am asking you to put on the rings to confirm your wish to conclude your marriage,” the protest says.
Along with the whisper and laugh of their friends, Daniel and Peter come to Edward and Natalia and Terrence and Raquelle with their heads proudly raised and give them the open boxes with two pairs of the wedding rings. Rose’s box has smooth rings made of silver that differ in size, and the fact that one of them has a beautiful diamond with many small purple ones around it. And Perkins brings the rings of different sizes made of gold. The only difference is that the smaller ring has a gorgeous square brilliant in the middle and several small ones near it. While the platted, bigger ring does not have all of this.
Raquelle and Natalia give their wedding bouquets to Anna and Helene, who come to them, and give their left to Terrence and Edward. MacClife, Sr., takes the small wedding ring with a brilliant from Daniel’s box, while MacClife, Jr., takes the ring with the diamond from Peter’s box. Then they smiling widely put on the wedding ring of their sweethearts with shaking hands, on which there are still the ones they received on their engagement. The girls glance at their new jewelry briefly before Natalia and Raquelle take the bigger rings. While Rose and Perkins come back to their places and put the empty boxes in the pockets of their jackets, the brides smiling shyly have no problems putting on the fingers of their men watching the process with interest.
“Dear Raquelle and Terrence and Natalia and Edward, God is blessing your marriage,” the priest says confidently after the bridesmaids come back to their places. “Starting this day, a new life is starting for you. Fate brought you together and showed you to the one you were destined to spend your life with, share the happiness and sadness, and be with, despite all the ups and downs. You will go on the way of love together and get closer to each other. Before you made the decision to create your family, you had met many barriers that could have separated you. But true love can overcome everything and make those who love each other happy. May the fierce flame of your love never fade away. May everyone of you be loyal to each other until the end.”
Edward and Natalia and Terrence and Raquelle listen to the priest with a wide smile and nod at times, tightly holding each other’s hands and sharing a tender gaze several times.
“And now, by the power vested in me, I pronounce this man and this woman husband and wife,” the priest says confidently, loudly, with a slight smile. “Congratulations, newlyweds. Now you can confirm your marriage with your first marriage kiss.”
Being officially married now, Raquelle and Terrence and Natalia and Edward turn on their beloved man and look into their eyes with a tender smile. The men give their beloved girls a continuous marriage kiss on the lips, putting an arm around the girl’s waist and putting the free hand on her cheek. The girls answer this kiss with pleasure, putting one arm around the man’s neck and letting the second one hang freely, but later putting their hand on his shoulder or holding him under the shoulder. The first marriage kiss causes loud applause from the guests smiling widely and getting up sharply. Someone makes happy whoops or even whistles, and Sammy starts barking loudly along with everybody, watching what’s happening with a gloss in the eyes. Daniel, Peter, Benjamin, Joseph, Cody, Anna, Helene, Olivia, Odette, and Emma are applauding, whistling, and shouting much happier and much louder.
Not paying attention to these loud applauses and shouts that may make them all become deaf for a while, some time later, Edward and Natalia and Terrence and Raquelle break their first kisses as husband and wife, share a tender smile, and take their sweetheart in a tight, happy hug. While the girls put their arms around their husbands’ necks and whoop with happiness, the man put their arms tightly around their wives' waist, press them to themselves, caressed their backs softly, lift them up from the ground in happiness, and shift the weight around themselves a little. After they step away from each other, Raquelle and Terrence and Natalia and Edward turn on the guests, locking their fingers tightly. Their smiles get much wider, and they look more confident and not as tense as before, seeing the people express their happiness by applauding loudly, whistling, and shouting. Of course, the adult guests do not show their happiness as loudly as younger people, especially men, but they do not hide their emotions at such an exciting moment.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I am glad to introduce the newlyweds to you,” the priest says solemnly while applauding alongside the others at the newlyweds. “Mr. and Mrs. MacClife. Mr. and Mrs. MacClife.”
Hearing these words, the newlyweds feel like everything turns upside down inside them and literally choke from emotions. They can see Rebecca, Letitia, Adriana, and Alicia crying with happiness. They can see Frederick, Anthony, and Jamie being close to letting their emotions go. And even one and a half minutes later, the people cannot calm down and keep congratulating these two beautiful couples, who, however, do enjoy getting so much attention. At some moment, the four look at each other with a wide smile on their faces, and then the happy brides hug each other, while their men hold them by the waist, letting the guests and the photographers take several joint photos of the newlyweds. Natalia and Raquelle have to wipe their tears carefully not to destroy their makeup, and Edward and Terrence try to hold themselves down, but their eyes look wet anyway.
And after they hug each other tightly, Edward and Natalia and Terrence and Raquelle turn on the bridesmaids and the groomsmen, who are happily applauding wildly and shouting the words of congratulations. They do not wait for the newlyweds to come to them and run to them with happy shouts to hug them tightly. The men do not miss a chance to play the fool on the grooms and ruffle their hair, while the girls calm the brides down after they let themselves cry, even if they still try to hold themselves down so hard. The little Amanda, Harold, Shannon, and Hailey are no less happy than the adult people, shout loudly and also applaud at the newlyweds, who do not stop smiling and sharing a tender gaze at each other, while the groomsmen and the bridesmaids start throwing petals of white roses over their heads.
