Chapter 26

Settings
Honidesu opened her eyes. The blinding light of the lamp fell directly on her face. In this bright light, she made out the silhouette of a man leaning over her. His cold blue eyes looked like indifference, as if she were just an object to him, not a person.

"Oh, you came to your senses?" he said with a slight sigh. "Well, now I'll have to inject the anesthesia again..." Neil said, stepping aside to take something. The girl tried to get out, but she was tied too tightly, not a single limb could move. "No! I don't want to... I need to get out now!" Honi thought in panic. She heard Neil take an object. Her arms and legs began to malfunction. She tried to get through the hard restraining straps. Honidesu heard Neil approaching her, her heart was pounding wildly. She knew that if she continued to panic, she would be finished, so Honi tried her best to focus on her abilities. Her arms and legs went through the tight straps, creating glitches around her, and eventually she managed to stand up. "YOU!" Neil screamed when he noticed her movement. He lunged at her with fury. Honi barely managed to dodge the first blow. The syringe flew past her by only a few inches. With no time to think, she quickly jumped back, trying to put at least some distance between herself and Neil. Trying to reach the door, she realized that it was locked. At that moment, Neil grabbed her arm and threw her hard to the floor. Honidesu tried to get up, but he attacked her again, delivering a strong blow to her side, from which she winced in pain. "You ruined my life!" Neil screamed, continuing to kick her. "I spent a lot of time creating an immortal digital mind, but what the hell happened?! You were supposed to be different!" "BOOM!" a sound came from the door. Neil stopped and looked at the locked door with a smirk. "Who's there?" he asked, slowly approaching it. Honi barely breathing, tried to get up and focus on her abilities. She had a chance - albeit a risky one, but there was no other way. "Open up! We know Honi is here!" Bonnie screamed from outside. "And why should I do that? I'm just trying to make your life better by getting rid of defects," Neil answered, turning back to Honidesu. At that moment, the girl quickly got up and swiftly jumped into the wall. She passed through it and fell to the floor, finding herself in the corridor. "Honi! Are you okay?" the ginger asked, holding out her hand. Honidesu nodded and stood up with Bonnie's help. Suddenly, her body began to glitch again. She grabbed her head and screamed: "NO! I'M NOT OKAY!" "What?" Janet asked in fear. "What's going on?" "The Cube! We need to find it and destroy it!" Henry exclaimed. Unable to contain herself, Honidesu threw all her friends aside. Her body began to move unnaturally. The voice in her head prevented her from thinking clearly. It interrupted her thoughts. The lights in the building began to flicker, the TV on the wall showed noise, it seemed that any technology could fail under the power of the glitch girl. "Look who you messed with!" Neil's mocking voice sounded through the speakers. "It's not her!" Bonnie was indignant. "Stop controlling her mind!" The ginger stood up and grabbed her axe, deciding to break through the door. Zhmak, Henry and Janet tried to distract Honi. When Bonnie finally broke through the door, there was no one inside, only a cube connected to a computer. "I hope it won't hurt her..." she thought, swinging her axe and destroying the cube. At the same moment, Honidesu lost consciousness and fell to the floor. "Honidesu!" Janet screamed in panic and rushed to her. Bonnie also returned to her friend. "Honi, wake up, please!" she said in a trembling voice. "Forgive me..." Honi had not responded for several minutes. Tears had already appeared in Bonnie's eyes. After a long silence, Honidesu took a deep breath and opened her eyes. "What happened?" she groaned in confusion. Janet spoke first: "You lost consciousness when Bonnie destroyed the cube. We were scared for you!" "C-cube?..." Honi asked again. "We thought you were gone forever!" Henry added, wiping away his tears. Zhmak pressed himself against Honidesu. "Honi, forgive me! I didn't know your mind was taken over..." Bonnie suddenly fell on her friend, hugging her. "I'm so sorry I scared you," Honidesu said quietly, hugging everyone back. Suddenly, the lights went out. Tension filled the air. Soon, a shrill alarm sounded. Everything around them began to flash a bright red light, as if everything around them had turned into a nightmare. The friends, overcome with panic, stood up, realizing that they were trapped. They were surrounded by agents - tall, silent figures in protective armor that seemed to appear out of nowhere. The robots suddenly grabbed everyone by the arms, leaving no chance for resistance. Zhmak was grabbed by one of the agents and lifted into the air. He vibrated with indignation and indignation. Bonnie dropped her axe, which hit the floor with a dull ringing. Honi had to do something. At that moment, her body glitched - she caught the fallen axe, and her hand resonated with it. "Enough!" a loud male voice rang out, breaking the chaos around her. Honi turned around and saw Neil, dressed in a huge metal suit that completely hid his body. From Neil's back protruded many long and flexible arms that looked like deadly tentacles. He immediately launched them towards the girl with incredible speed. Honi instinctively covered herself with an axe, but it did not help - a powerful blow threw her against the wall, causing her to feel sharp pain. At that moment, her friends disappeared from sight, dragged by agents into the unknown. Honi was left alone, one on one with Neil and his terrifying metal appearance...
