Honidesu's eyes opened in a misty forest, there was not a soul around, but she heard a noise that grew louder...
It was a sinister mocker, its eyes were blue, and it seemed much larger and stronger than those she had met before.
The air turned icy, darkness surrounded her. She did not know what to do, she seemed paralyzed... Each step of the mocker echoed through the empty forest, as if foreshadowing impending doom.
Honidesu tried to fight the creature, but her attempts to fight back seemed almost pointless. In one swift movement, the monster knocked her off her feet, leaving her vulnerable to its merciless strength. Its bony, powerful paw sank straight into the girl's heart. Excruciating pain pierced her body. She tried to scream, but her throat constricted in spasms, not allowing her to make a sound. The monster looked at her with cold and emotionless eyes, as if watching the last act of its sinister performance.
Honi saw her body torn and bloody, and the blood slowly spreading on the ground, forming a scarlet stream. The monster stood over her for a while, enjoying her suffering. The last thing she heard was that same sinister laughter...
The girl woke up in a cold sweat. Honi sat up in bed, she was terrified and trembling, her heart was pounding, her hands were shaking. Honidesu looked at her palms.
Bonnie woke up when she heard Honi's loud breathing: "Honi?! What happened, are you okay?"
Honidesu did not answer her for a long time, she still had not recovered from what she experienced in the dream. She hugged herself, her mind was still full of fear, and she was still in shock.
Bonnie patted her friend on the shoulder: "Hey, it's just a bad dream..."
The ginger took Zhmak and gave him to her friend: "Here, hug Zhmak, you'll feel better!" Bonnie hugged her too.
Honi was a little confused and dizzy from such a terrible nightmare. She hugged Zhmak and buried her face in his furry body with her eyes closed, she was so calm and free from fear when she hugged him. She felt comfortable with the cute little square cat. Her fear gradually disappeared. She also hugged Bonnie tightly. Finally, they all fell asleep together again.
The next day, Honi woke up, still hugging Zhmak. Bonnie seemed to have already gotten up and, judging by the sounds of spoons, was in the kitchen.
Honidesu left Zhmak to sleep on the couch, and she went to brush her teeth and wash her face.
The girls had breakfast, and then Bonnie looked at the calendar: January had been rich in snowfalls this year... The 31st date was marked in red. In two days it would be New Year's.
The friends began to prepare for the holiday. They were going to cook delicious food and buy new and cool things.
Bonnie wanted this New Year to be special and memorable. She hadn't celebrated this holiday with someone for a long time. Her last New Year spent with other people was when she was in the shelter. But after she left it, she hardly communicated with other people, which is why she celebrated it alone.
When Bonnie returned from the store, she and Honi began to decorate the tree with all the decorations they had. While they were doing this, Zhmak decided to join in and began to climb the tree and knock down all the decorations he could reach. The girls laughed at his antics, but at the same time tried to return the decorations to the tree. Zhmak didn't give up and continued knocking down decorations, making the tree look even more cheerful. As a result of his actions, the cat got tangled in tinsel, but his joy and wagging tail did not disappear. The friends decided to leave everything as is and enjoy the silliness of the moment. Bonnie even took some funny photos on her phone.
The sky outside was dark and starless because it was covered with clouds, but the girls were still very happy. Zhmak was with them. The square cat was very cozy with his friends.
Honidesu saw hundreds of fireworks exploding in the night sky outside the window, lighting up the darkness with a dazzling array of colors. She had never seen anything like it before, and the deafening sound of the explosions made her cover her ears. Bonnie noticed how Honi was acting and giggled, putting her hand on her shoulder: "Hee hee, don't worry, Honi. It's just the sound of the New Year approaching!"
"Why so loud?!" Honidesu asked loudly, still covering her ears. "Is this really normal for New Year's Eve?"
Bonnie laughed and nodded: "Oh, yeah! In our town, it's customary to celebrate the New Year with loud fireworks!"
Despite her fear, Honidesu was curious about this new experience. She took a deep breath and slowly removed her hands from her ears, allowing herself to fully experience the sound and light of the fireworks. As she watched them continue to explode in the sky, she felt a sense of wonder and awe, knowing that she had witnessed something truly special.
When the New Year arrived and everyone was sitting around a table full of delicious food, Bonnie said, "I am so happy to be spending this moment with you, Honi... and Zhmak! You are the best thing that has ever happened to me!"
Honidesu was very touched by Bonnie's words, which she will remember for a long time...
On another ordinary day, the girls were having a great time on their day off. They turned on the music and danced, unaware that the volume had increased to a level loud enough to disturb the neighbors.
Horrified by the consequences, Honidesu quickly hid in the closet, accidentally knocking over the vase while Bonnie opened the door to explain herself to the neighbors. The neighbors were surprised by the sound of the vase breaking and asked, and Bonnie said that the cat knocked it over.
When the neighbors left, Honi looked sheepishly at the shards of the porcelain vase scattered on the floor. This was the first time she had broken something in the real world. The girl tried to fix the object with her mind, as she did in the virtual space, but nothing worked.
Bonnie watched her friend's attempt, simultaneously feeling sorry for her and amused by the situation.
"What are you trying to do?" she asked, trying not to laugh.
Honi looked at Bonnie with wide eyes of despair.
"I... I'm trying to fix the vase... myself," she explained, gesturing with her hands, as if she expected it to suddenly start working.
Bonnie couldn't hold back her laughter any longer.
"Oh, Honidesu..." she breathed out, trying to catch her breath. "I'm so sorry, but it doesn't work like that in the real world!"
Honidesu looked down, slowly beginning to understand what her friend was trying to explain.
"I... I'm an idiot..." Honi sighed.
"No, no!" Bonnie tried to calm her down. "Well, you know... you just don't understand the real world a little bit."
Honi tried to smile at her friend's words: "You're right... I guess I just have a lot to learn..."
Zhmak looked at Bonnie hurt, because he heard how he was falsely accused.
"Hey, Zhmak, I'm sorry, I wasn't talking about you!" Bonnie giggled.
In the end they had a good time and everything went peacefully.
