The Autumn Affair

A tall girl with long brown hair named Marie stood in the middle of a beautiful autumn forest and watched as beautiful, golden leaves slowly swirled and fell from the trees. She thought about her life, about the many things that happened in it. But one thought kept returning to her, capturing her heart and not giving her peace - her feelings for Hannah. Hannah had been her best friend for quite a long time. They felt comfortable and easy together, and they trusted each other with all their secrets and problems. But now Marie realized that her feelings for Hannah had gradually turned into something more. It was not just friendship or sympathy, as often happened with best friends, no, she was in love! Marie could not explain how this happened and why these feelings overtook her right here and now. Perhaps she simply did not notice before, and was not at all aware that she had such feelings for her. But now, as she stood among this magical autumn forest, she realized even more clearly that she had loved Hannah all this time, without realizing it. The falling leaves and bright autumn colors shining in the sun were so reminiscent of Hannah's features - her freckled cheeks, red sweater, blonde hair. With fingers trembling with excitement, Marie dialed Hannah's number, and was almost speechless when she unexpectedly quickly answered the phone. - Marie? Hello! — came Hannah's voice. — Why do you call? Something happened? — Hello Hannah! — Marie answered, trying to hide her voice, which was slightly trembling with excitement. — Would you... like to take a walk with me?.. — Of course I want! I'll be there as soon as I can! — Hannah answered and hung up. Marie's mind was filled with excitement. Only the excitement was pleasant. Finally, she, Hannah, will soon appear, and she will tell her how she feels! The girl did not keep herself waiting long, and soon appeared in sight, among the trees.
