Sunflower

Once, Rebecca asked him which flowers were his favorite. And now he still thinks about it. Back then, Anthony didn’t think about answer much and just said “I don’t really care about flowers. They’re all the same for me”. And honestly, that’s true. Flowers don’t really impress him. They’re beautiful and all that, but he doesn’t care. But there was one single flower, that he can now call his favorite. Sunflower. That’s all beacuse of his best friend. Liam is even a bit obsessed with flowers, he loves them very much. He was even studying some of their meanings but says that forgot almost everything about that. But once, he said “you must know that sunflowers always look towards the sun, right? Heh, I think that’s so nice… Also, I once read that sunflowers represent the sun itself! You know, that might sound a bit stupid to you, but I think they’re kinda like me: I’m always trying to see the brighter side of things. And Dorothy said I shine like the sun, so… Ah, nevermind. All I wanted to say was that I love sunflowers”. Now Anthony remembered it and can’t get these words out of his head. Every time that he sees a sunflower, he thinks about Liam. So once, he didn’t even notice that he called him “sunflower”. — Huh? What did you say? — Uh... What did I say?.. — Um... — Liam smiled and looked away. — I think you called me a sunflower. — Oh, did I? Ah, I'm sorry, that's... — That's cute! I'm not sure why you did it, but I love it! He looks really happy. Well, he looks happy all the time, but now even more. — Alright... Sunflower. — Hehe... Liam lay on Anthony's shoulder and closed his eyes. He usually does this when he likes something that Anthony did. That makes him smile too. Sunflowers are now his favorites, that's for sure.
