Chapter 3: Shuri's House

Settings
Shuri woke up at home. "Damn! Was this all a dream? Although the idea of gathering everyone is quite good. We need to do this urgently,” – he thought. And then he noticed that he was wearing the same clothes that he had been wearing in the dream. – Come on! – Shuri was indignant at himself and got out of bed. He looked around his room. It was light and carefully tidied up. And what confused him most was that there was no sports equipment anywhere. Shuri began to get angry with his housekeeper. Who else could have touched things in his house?       – Naomi! – Shuri yelled with rage. But to his surprise, no one came to his room. “What else has she done here?!” – Shuri thought and began to look around the room. He saw in the corner a huge brown teddy bear, not torn, with two eyes, in one word, whole. Together with this bear, Shuri's parents left her with her grandmother and never returned. “Why did she sew it up, because she knows I’ll tear it anyway?” – Shuri thought. Then, getting up from the bear, he noticed a photo on the chest of drawers. In each photo, Shuri is no older than five years old. – No! No! – Shuri shouted and immediately ran out of the room. He was on the second floor of his house. Shuri jumped over several steps, just to find himself on the first floor, in the kitchen, at home as quickly as possible. He jumped over the sofa and tables with all his might and... And again he didn’t have time. This sound often sounded in his head. – Eeeeeee... – a hoarse sound came from the kitchen and something gurgled. A gray-haired woman lay face down in a mug of water. Suddenly the gurgling stopped. And at that moment, Shuri ran into the kitchen and lifted the old woman, but her breathing had already stopped. – No! I didn't have time again! – Shuri shouted. He hesitated for a couple of seconds, and then finally turned the grandmother’s body over, plugged her nose and began performing artificial respiration. – Inhale and exhale, – Shuri repeated several times. But it didn't help.       The lifeless body was left lying on the floor as Shuri screamed and tears flowed from his eyes. And at that moment the old woman stood up unnaturally. Her eyes were white, and a nasty creaking sound continued to come from her mouth. Shuri backed away, and the woman went like a battering ram. He jumped over the sofa, but she seemed to seep through him like water. Shuri turned the table over on her and quickly ran upstairs. – We’re only here for a couple of days, Mom, – a gentle female voice was heard, – Perry’s just got something to do. Having run upstairs, he unexpectedly found himself in the corridor of his grandmother’s house. Shuri saw his little self with a bear cub in his hands, his mother, father and young grandmother. And everyone is alive. – What's happening?! – the adult Shuri shouted and turned to his parents, – Where have you been?! You've been gone for over ten years! I was waiting! I was waiting for you! You haven't arrived! You abandoned him! Me! But no one paid attention to Shuri. Granny agreed with his father and took little Shuri in her arms. – Say goodbye to mom and dad, – said the young grandmother. – No! Please don't tell that! – adult Shuri shouted.       The little boy turned, looked at Shuri and said that same “bye.” And everything began to dissolve into thin air. Shuri turned back. He's still in the hallway, but a strange hissing sound is coming from behind him. – No! Not again! Suddenly, a large wave surged from what should have been the living room. She rushed towards Shuri. – I don’t want to do it all over again! – Shuri shouted. At this moment, the walls of the house began to crack. It seemed like a second and the house would be destroyed. Out of fear, Shuri hit the door with all his might. That one also began to fall apart, and light began to leak through it. – It can’t be, – Shuri whispered and, knocking down the door, flew out into the street. Shuri's house collapsed. Dean caught him on the way out. For several seconds they lay motionless near the ruins of one of the houses. Shuri then stood up and looked around. – Damn it, Dean, bro, where are we?       Purple sky. Yellow meadow of dandelions. Three houses, two of which have already been destroyed. And around there is a black, shady forest. Consisting mostly of gnarled, dead trees. – I don’t know, – Dean answered, standing next to him, – I woke up in a clearing and watched your houses. – Behind ours? – Shuri asked in surprise. – Well, yes. When I woke up, it was as if I was looking through your house. I saw everything. You woke up a little later than me. Do you see Rushh sleeping? – Dean asked, pointing to the entire house next door. – No, – Shuri answered, and then saw the ruins, near which Nile was curled up. – What does he have? – I don't know. I woke up when his house had already collapsed. He sat all this time and said nothing. Didn't even joke. – Yeah, you’re joking here, – Shuri replied.
