Chapter 1

Notes:
The dark-haired guy was sitting on a chair and, with his hands on the back of the chair, yawned wearily, watching his brother trying to find something on their father's table. - Can you finally tell me what you're looking for? The man sitting on the chair asked, yawning widely. - Kev, my father recently asked me to draw clothes for a new script.- The guy with bright red hair began to explain, moving the books on the shelf and carefully examining them.- And if my father asked me to draw, what does that mean? - what? - Kev, don't be stupid. The guy turned to Kevin and crossed his arms over his chest and ran his gaze around the office. The office itself was not particularly large in dark shades and due to the fact that my father always hung thick curtains, there was a very good lighting here, a small desk, next to which, near the wall, there is a shelving, a leather sofa nearby, the man put it on when he realized that because of night work sometimes he did not I want to go to bed so that I don't accidentally wake up my beloved wife.- It means that he has new shoots soon, at his film studio. - Neil, so what? He's a director, it's okay that he's filming. - Kev, tell me honestly, are you a moron? - I've never understood your train of thought, so explain yourself. - Which of us is the future star of show business and wants to follow in his father's footsteps? Kevin said with a slight nod. - Don't tell me that because you've grown up, you don't want to read your father's new scripts anymore. - You are a fan of reading scripts, but I like to watch the filming process. Neil smiled broadly, showing his snow-white teeth and snapped his fingers.- Will he have a new project? - You got it.- The guy did not whine and quietly hit his palms on the desk top and, making a small emphasis on his hands, leaned towards the table and squinted at his brother. - And you can't find this script? - Exactly, either he's already at the film studio, which means that my father is already recruiting actors to enter names, or he's still here somewhere and I just can't find him. - It's unlikely that you won't find something with your father, you know every inch of his workplace. "And if it's in your mother's office?" Neil asked, slightly tilting his head to the side, looking into his brother's emerald eyes. - No, usually everything related to this is with my father. Mom usually keeps all the paperwork on contracts, around the house. - That's also true. Neil looked away and his gaze darted to the door behind which his parents' room was located. - Maybe to the film studio? Kevin suddenly asked, and Neil returned his gaze to him.- At the same time, let's ask if we happen to be on the cast list. - I bet if we enter, the father will say something like: "This is not up for discussion, these roles are perfect for you!" Neil shouted a little on purpose and immediately laughed. - I bet.

Forty minutes later, the guys walked through the big doors into a long-familiar studio. They spent most of their childhood here, sometimes even filming as children, then as teenagers, but the brothers' favorite activity was in their father's office when he himself was not there. Neil loves his father's fantasy, which is why he used to steal newly reworked scripts, and after that the man himself realized how his son was addicted to reading and the unexpected theft of script folders stopped as soon as Neil was promised that he would be given books in which there would be a normally written script. Now there is a shelf with all these books in the teenager's room, although they are of shitty quality, but this one does not stop Neil from sometimes rereading his favorite scripts. Kevin loved watching the actors, watching the game, and when it was not at all plausible, only his father or mother could stop the boy from speaking out. Neil, of course, if he tried, he would also calm his brother down. But does he need it? Right, no. When they were already completely used to the criticism of the eldest son, everyone began to notice that everything related to the design of the right clothes or some additional things, like bags or what needs to be made to order for a particular film, this is what Neil began to do. When accepting a job, the father first of all showed it to his son, who smiled slightly at the work he had done.

Neil is sitting on the windowsill in his father's office and is drawing in a notebook, something like a fashion design for his father's new series. Neil recently learned about his talent to draw everything he imagined, and he got his fantasy from his father, perfect. Kevin was sitting on a chair and his hands were resting on the back of the chair, and his head was on his hands and he was muttering something about terrible actors coming to his father. Surprisingly, the twelve-year-old boy knew a lot about actors. The man was sitting at his desk on a leather armchair and completely agreed with his eldest son. There was a knock on the door and after permission a man came in. He looked younger than the director himself, with short-cropped dark hair and the same dark eyes. The man himself was dressed casually, not very noticeably, in ordinary blue jeans with a T-shirt. - David, you have a new project, don't you need to do anything?- The man who came in asked and the director pointed behind his back at his younger son, they say, deal with him, I have a lot of problems without that , which was pure right, which is why Neil gladly agreed to help at least with such an insignificant part as the design of clothes and side items. - Uncle Steward, I already have sketches. Neil tore a piece of paper out of his notebook and jumped off the windowsill. "Don't call me Uncle, I'm not that old. - All right, Uncle Steward. Steward Hatford is the main assistant to David Wymack, the director, for making additional designer things, such as clothes, bags or something similar. He also sometimes gets a chance to play in some roles, if there are no people, he himself has never signed up as an actor. - Can I go?- The man asked, and after receiving a nod from the chief, he left the office.
