1.biased lens of empty moments

Remus sat on the windowsill, simultaneously adjusting the camera lens. Today he has already worked on one of the photo shoots. The idea was not very complicated but overall interesting, so he happily took on it.
The model girl looked attractive and fit the “Mavka” image perfectly. At first, Lupine did not understand who this was in terms of character and why the girl wanted to star in such a strange image. It turned out that she came to London from somewhere in Eastern Europe.
The photographer couldn't be happier about this. He also came to Great Britain from the United States, which means he was not the only one who knew absolutely nothing here. However, the acquaintance still did not take place. Unfortunately for Remus, because he wanted to find his first friends here.
But now, the second photo session was approaching. As it was written in the order, we need to shoot a certain musical rock group “the marauders” for song covers and the like.
At first the photographer didn’t even hear about them, because he doesn’t live in London, but before shooting he listened to the work and studied the biography in order to feel the vibe.
Requests: red lighting, makeup, interesting idea.
Lupine sincerely didn’t know what they meant by “interesting idea,” so he suggested the option of taking pictures with different drawings on the walls. The manager appreciated the idea.
There were no problems with lighting or makeup. It’s not difficult to find a makeup artist in the capital, just like a red lamp. There were about ten minutes left before the clients arrived, during which the photographer double-checked everything several times. The bell rang in the studio. The assistant ran to open the doors, and Remus, with a slight sense of anticipation, began to glance towards the corridor.
He loved his work, so his enthusiasm was reflected in every photo and every guest.
Finally, the group members showed up. In his head, he immediately assessed everyone, thought about who would stand where, and the like.
The first to go was a guy about the same height as Lupin himself. He had short curly hair and round glasses. Of the clothes that all participants had chosen to match the general style, he wore ripped jeans, an oversized jacket and a T-shirt with graffiti. The guy was holding drumsticks in his hand, which helped the photographer guess that this was James Potter. Drummer of the band. The installation itself was delivered to the studio in the morning.
A red-haired girl walked next to him, holding his hand. She was wearing a miniskirt with chains at the waist and a beautiful black blouse. The shoes caught my eye because they had very, very high heels. This is lead singer Lily Evans, because in her hand, which was not occupied, she had a microphone. And they didn’t have any other girls.
Two guys were bringing up the rear. One is about the same height as James. On his back is a guitar case. Short black curly hair and blue-green eyes. Regulus. One of the Black brothers who holds the positions of bass player and guitarist.
The man next to him caught Remus's eye the most. Sirius Black. He was half a head taller than his brother, the tallest in the group. The hair is the same black, but shoulder length, lips in a slight smirk. Black leather jacket, jeans with embroidered band logo, boots and an earring.
Yes, he looked like a dream.
“So, what am I even thinking about?! Get it together, Lupin, these are your clients. Did you really decide to lose your job on the first day?”, the photographer scolded himself.
- Hello, glad to see you. Would you like something to drink, or should we start working? - Remus greeted the group.
- Good afternoon, no, thank you. We'd like to start right away. Please tell me, can we discuss makeup with the artist? — the soloist asked politely.
- Of course, I’ll call her now, — the photographer smiled.
The work went on as usual. The atmosphere slowly flowed from the most work-like atmosphere to a more comfortable and friendly one.
Potter smiled as Evans did black smokey eyes and outlined her lips with lipstick.
Regulus went to the location for the future photo shoot, taking out guitars and other musical paraphernalia. But Sirius was most interested in the photographer. At first he asked about work, until the conversation became freer.
Black began to tell the story of his acquaintance with James and the creation of the group. He said that Lily and Potter were dating and were going to get married soon. Regulus, listening to his brother's monologue, smiled mysteriously. He knew Sirius best and immediately realized that he liked the cute, curly-haired photographer.
- So, and I tell him: “James, what are you doing, you idiot? What kind of rock music, maybe better lyrics?”, but this idiot doesn’t care! And then we tried it, it turned out that nothing happened. The two of us have already dragged Lily and Regulus in, under the pretext that we don’t have enough participants, — Black Sr. said enthusiastically. Lupin noticed with pleasure that he was as passionate about his work as he was. This was a good thing, considering how many people hate waking up in the morning because of their profession.
— How did you decide to become a guitarist? - asked the photographer.
- Oh, this is actually a long story. I studied at a music school, played the guitar, then started working as a teacher, and then... - James’ voice did not allow him to finish telling him, notifying him that the makeup was finished and he was ready to work.
Lupin immediately came to his senses, remembering that he was in charge here, and went to the same window sill to get a camera.
The photo session flew by unnoticed. All members of the group worked perfectly, blended perfectly with both the location and each other.
James sat at the drums, sometimes starting to play at Remus's request. From his repertoire, he heard several songs, as he was told, by their group.
Lily stood next to him, sometimes placing her hand on the installation. She posed like a model, although, Lupin clarified, she had never worked in a modeling studio. Red hair turned completely red under the lighting, contrasting with black lips.
Regulus, with his white guitar with a picture of skyscrapers on it, stood next to his brother. An interesting feature is that he was constantly photographed only with his head turned slightly to the right. No matter how much Remus asks, no, that’s all. I will only stand like this. The client's desire is the law.
Sirius was holding his black guitar in his hands. The name of the group is written on it in red. His leather jacket turned from black to deadly black. I don’t know if the difference is clear, but the photographer saw it.
His curls hanging from his shoulders sometimes slightly covered one eye. It looked so beautiful and sexy that Remus found it very, very difficult not to be distracted from his work.
His lips, red due to the lighting and slightly chapped, were distorted into a grin again. Signature facial expression? Well, Remus definitely likes it.
Lupin actually caught himself thinking that he liked everything about this guitarist.
And how he frowned, telling the worst event that happened in their group, and the dimples on his cheeks when he smiled. He liked this man inside and out. This was only a little alarming, because Remus knew practically nothing about the stranger.
After the photo session was over, the clients were satisfied, and before leaving, they lingered a little to thank the team.
Lily successfully struck up a conversation with the cute makeup artist, praising the smokey eyes, and Sirius, unexpectedly (not), smiled at Remus, holding out a small piece of paper.
- Here's my number. If you want, call. I like you. We can arrange a date, — Black smiled with all his teeth, while his younger brother tactfully laughed into his fist.In any other situation, Lupin would have considered this the height of indecency upon first meeting. But today he was grateful for Sirius' determination. Remus himself would not have given the number.
As soon as the group left, the photographer first wrote down the guitarist’s number in his contacts, calling immediately after the end of the working day.
