Imagine that you were Jasper's girlfriend and he hurt you.

"I'm not… Oh God, I didn't mean to..." Jasper said softly, holding out his arms to you, but you instinctively recoiled and he froze in place, guilt written on his face. "I'm sorry.…"
You took a shaky breath, trying to calm down and come to your senses. Under his watchful gaze, it wasn't that easy to do so.
"I know… Just... don't come over yet. Please," you whispered, barely audible.
He nodded and went to the door. A safe distance. But you didn't feel completely safe. You knew he was a vampire, and you couldn't blame him for what was in his nature — feeding on human blood — but for the first time in your life, you experienced such animal horror when you couldn't stop him.
"Do you want me to leave?" Jasper asked quietly.
You hesitated for a few seconds before nodding.
"Yes," you whispered, "yes, I want you to leave."
You looked at Jasper for a moment. His gaze was filled with such unbearable guilt that your heart ached, but you knew it was the right decision right now. Even if it broke both of your hearts.
A few seconds later, the door slammed softly and you were left alone. And only then did tears slowly roll down your cheeks, a belated reaction to the fear you felt.
You pulled the blanket over your head completely and leaned against the bed, and then lay down and curled up into a ball, closing your eyes. The room was quiet. You couldn't hear anything but the pounding of your own heart and your breathing, and then you slowly fell asleep.
