Chapter 1

Shui Uzumaki became the Fifth Hokage two and a half years ago. All because her father, the fourth hokage, decided to retire. Shu, as her friends called her, was one of the strongest. Her power was recognized by everyone in the village and the Daimyo of the land of fire, too.
Shui is Kakashi's wife. She's only twenty-five years old. She has a four—year-old son, Ayato Hatake. He has emerald eyes and red hair. He took her hair and eyes from her, as well as a devilish grin. He clearly took his mind and abilities from his father.
Jiraiya died a few weeks ago. Which shocked everyone. First, Orochimaru. Now Jiraiya. Shui loved him, because he was like a second father to her.
Now the village has been attacked by Payne. Jiraiya's killer. Shui and the others are trying to save the civilians. She left her son's mother and went to rescue the residents. But she stopped when she saw how Hinata was knocked out. And they wanted to kill her.
But Shu appeared in time, blocking the fatal blow. Her clone took Hug away to the doctors.
— The village is my home. And its inhabitants are my family. And I won't let you destroy my house.
Payne just lifted the corners of his lips. The girl was serious. Her power was palpable. Behind her back was a cape with the inscription "fifth hokage".
— Then you will die.
The battle began. More precisely, natural disasters. The Shinobi who saw this fight were genuinely worried about their Hokage. Naruto was protecting her clone in case of anything.
Naruto looked at his sister with admiration. He had no idea that she was so strong. No wonder, though. She didn't become Hokage for her pretty eyes.
Payne acted really cunningly. Naruto got up when the clone was killed to help his sister. But he stopped when a lot of bayonets were directed at him.
Naruto wouldn't have had time to dodge, so he closed his eyes. But I didn't feel any pain. When he opened them, he saw Shuya. She took the brunt of it.
She was dripping onto her lap, and blood was flowing from her mouth. Naruto picked up his sister and looked at her in confusion. She was already lying on the ground and looking at him with a smile.
—No, no, no, don't die, dattebayo,— Naruto whispered, sinking down next to him.
— I'm sorry, Naruto ... — Shu looked at him with a bleary look. — Live for both of us, Naruto, — Shu smiled and tore the pendant from her neck. It looked like Naruto's pendant, only red. — Give it to him. I love you, my stupid little brother.
The girl put the pendant in her brother's hand and closed her eyes. Naruto hung the pendant around his neck and tried to call his sister, but to no avail. She's Dead. The Nine-tailed one got out of control.

Shui was in a dark gray space. When she saw the fire, she went to it. I saw Jiraiya, who was sitting and writing something, and Asuma, who was smoking as usual. Looking up, they saw a scarlet-haired woman.
They stood up, and the girl hugged the two of them. She no longer thought that she would meet them after death. Although she didn't even think about it.
— Shui? The girl pulled away and sat down on a log by the fire. — What are you doing here?
— I'm dead.
— Has it really been that long? Although you haven't changed. The Tsuna technique? "What is it?" the hermit asked, sitting down in his seat.
- no. You died a few weeks ago.
"Then what happened if you're here and not with your husband and son?" Asuma asked.
— Payne attacked the village. It is almost destroyed. I was protecting Naruto. Payne killed me too.
— That's it... well, let's hope that Naruto can save the village.

Minato and Kakashi stopped when they felt a familiar touch on their shoulders. They turned around, but did not see the scarlet-haired woman.
They exchanged glances and hurried back to the village with renewed vigor. But they stopped when they saw Naruto, who was barely walking into the village. They jumped down.
— Dad? Kakashi-sensei? Naruto looked up at them with a look full of pain. — Payne is dead.
— Naruto? Why are you so broken?
Tears appeared in Naruto's eyes. He pursed his lips, looked down at the floor, and then clenched his hands into fists.
"Shui... she's dead.
Kakashi and Minato froze. A second later, Kakashi ran into the village at a new speed. He didn't believe it. She couldn't have died.
But when he returned, he saw only the lifeless body of his wife. Falling to his knees next to her, he couldn't hold back the tears.
After that, the rest of the Shinobi began to gather next to him. They were genuinely grieving for her. Sakura appeared next to Kakashi.
"You should go to your son, Kakashi-sensei.
The ash-haired man covered her with a white tablecloth. After that, he got up and went to look for his son. Ayato was with Kushina. When he saw his son, he went up to him and hugged him.
— Dad, where's Mom? She said she would come back for me. As soon as he saves the village.
Kakashi just pursed his lips and looked down. How do I explain to a child that his mother is dead? Should I tell him the truth?
"She's dead, Ayato. She saved the village and its inhabitants.
Ayato cried and hugged his father. Kakashi hugged his son and looked at Kushina, who was also crying. Shui was a great daughter, mother and wife.

The funeral of the fifth Hokage was already a few days later. Ayato stood next to his father and grandfather. After that, he was the first to put the flower next to the photo.
The weather was bad as usual — it was raining that day. All the residents and Shinobi were grieving. The fifth saved many that day.
Ayato went to the playground after the funeral and sat on the swing, swaying easily. He often walked here with his mother while his father was on a mission.
Naruto appeared next to Ayato. He sat down on the swing next to him. Ayato looked at his uncle, who was sad. He loved his sister too.
— Ayato, Shui wanted you to have it, — Naruto handed the boy a pendant to his mother, who never took it off. — She wanted you to become as strong as she was.
Ayato took the pendant and put it on. He will become as strong as his mother. He would show her that he was something to be proud of.

A twenty-three-year-old guy was wearily scratching his head looking at his team. Boruto was fighting with Sarada, and Mitsuki was silent.
"That's enough," the three fell silent at the teacher's words, and the guy sighed. — At your age, I wasn't thinking about how to fight with my friends.
— And what is it about, Ayato-sensei? Sarada asked, looking at the teacher.
— I wanted to become as strong a Shinobi as my mother.
"Your mother?" What was she like? Mitsuki asked.
"Well... she was one of the strongest Shinobi in our village.
"What happened to her?" Sarada asked.
"She died protecting her family," Ayato said, pointing at the head of the fifth hokage.
"Mom and dad said that my aunt was stronger than them back then,— Boruto said. — Grandpa admires her. And ba, as usual, tells how she refused to be a hokage.
"My mother left a legacy behind her," Ayato said with a smile, looking at them.
— Legacy? Sarada asked.
— Her legacy is the village that survived because of her. She always said: "The village is my home, and its inhabitants are my family," Ayato said. Naruto remembered these words as well as Ayato. — Practice more. Prove that you are worthy of wearing these projectors.
Ayato disappeared into shunshin. After buying flowers, he went to his mother's grave, where his father was standing. Standing next to him, he dropped the bouquet next to his father's bouquet.
"I miss her," Ayato said, clutching the pendant that hung around his neck.
Kakashi replied, and they both looked at the tombstone.
Shui Uzumaki-Hatake. Beloved daughter, sister, wife and mother. Rest in peace, fifth Hokage…
