«House M.D.». Being Gregory House's girlfriend (#1)

Settings
Notes:
Being a Gregory House girlfriend: • You were the older sister of Gregory House's new patient. • You and your family didn't understand what happened to S/N. Just like the other doctors you've seen before. • Someone you know advised you to go to Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital directly to Dr. Gregory House, which you did. • He was a little surprised when you came to the hospital and said that you were looking for him, and not someone else, and managed to joke that there would be no alimony, because he knows for sure that he does not have children. • But he took up a new case with interest. • And you laughed a little with his sense of humor. You realized that, most likely, it will remain so during the treatment S/N, because he still did not give up the case (while you were looking for information about the hospital and its employees, you managed to virtually and live to get acquainted with those whom this doctor cured immediately, as well as with those whose cases he didn't want to take it for a while). • House has found a solution to your problem, however, as always, as you have already found out. • This surprised you very much, because you didn't think that someone could just find the right diagnosis for their patients. Although in fact it is not quite simple, because Dr. House first studied the primary symptoms and prescribed treatment, and then, depending on the results of treatment, either prescribed another or looked for a solution elsewhere. • After S/N was successfully discharged home, your mother never stopped thanking Dr. House for not giving up after the first difficulties, but brought the matter to an end with a successful outcome of treatment. • You were very grateful to him for the fact that he still made the right diagnosis and managed to cure your little sister. And you wanted to somehow thank him financially, and not just with words that for some reason seemed empty, so you offered to feed him dinner. • He muttered something about the fact that medical ethics forbids meeting with patients and their relatives and close people. But he didn't say that he himself was against your proposal. • Therefore, on his day off (which, as it turned out, intersected with your day off), you went to a cafe where you treated him to a delicious dinner (you knew that this cafe is always delicious, because you often ran here to have a snack). • He allowed you to choose the dishes to your taste. • And you thought he even liked it. • He thanked you for a "wonderful evening" and offered to walk you home, to which you agreed. • Later that day, your mom noticed in a conversation with you that Dr. House walked you home. • She immediately asked you head-on if you were counting on something more or if it was a single meeting in gratitude for your sister. • And that's when you started thinking. In fact, you asked yourself this question as soon as you got home, but without deciding anything concrete for yourself, you tried to drive away these thoughts, in fact, stubbornly returning to them over and over again. That's why you started getting angry. • You suddenly started coming to Princeton Plainsboro for yourself to see the doctor who saved your sister's life. And he was very surprised by this, but did not say a word against it. • He noticed that you were kind of irritated and more and more reminded him of himself, so he asked if you had ever had an operation without your direct consent, in connection with which you may now have chronic pain or you just have such a mood. • You, of course, referred to the mood, but you remembered the question about chronic pain. Just in case, it might come in handy. • He was very grumpy because of the constant pain in his leg and kept pushing people away from him, which you have already noticed during your short stay in the hospital. • Somehow, unbeknownst to yourself, you fell in love with him, but could not figure out what attracted you to him. • When you decided to confess your feelings to him (spontaneously), he immediately warned you that usually all the girls who are interested in him, after they get to know him better, run away from him shouting "Help!". And they find someone else. • But you answered him that it was better to be honest with him from the very beginning to the end, regardless of whether you will be together in the end or not. • As a result, you started dating. • James Wilson, House's best friend, as you later found out, told him that he should not miss a girl like you. • House seemed happier. • You didn't hide much, but you didn't advertise your relationship either. • His colleagues noticed the strange behavior of the doctor immediately, because he began to smile often and furtively looked at the phone, which was previously observed only if he needed to see the time remaining until the end of his shift. And a smile was generally a rare occurrence, so all his familiar doctors with whom he communicated looked at him with suspicion, including Wilson, Lisa Cuddy, doctors Foreman, Cameron and Chase. • In the end, you gave yourself away when you picked House up at the hospital to go home with him. And when he went straight to you and gave you a quick kiss, you came across the knowing smiles of the hospital staff. • But it seems that House frankly didn't care about the looks and whispers behind his back. At first he smiled at you, and then, noticing the direction of your gaze, he barked without turning around: "There's nothing to see, disperse!" Hearing the chuckles, he turned around to see the hospital staff and patients grinning at him approvingly and gradually dispersing. • You haven't been hiding since then. But Gregory still did not actively seek to show everyone that you are his girlfriend. Sometimes only when he saw other men looking at you. • But you are already sure that he is in love with you. • Live separately, but visit each other regularly. • You often visit Princeton-Plainsboro to bring home-cooked food to House (you know he loves your cooking). • And Wilson, too. • James, by the way, often visits you and you are always glad to see him. But House, as usual, is unfriendly to guests, especially to unexpected ones. • As Wilson let slip, Cuddy often asks House when you're getting married. "If you love her, as she loves you, then why don't you get married?". • One day House shared this with you, saying that he didn't want to rush and if you agree with him, that would be great. And you agreed, because you thought that you didn't know each other too well yet. Although sometimes the whole life is not enough to get to know a person. • Eventually you started living together in House's apartment, but you were in no hurry to sell your apartment, using it to earn extra money by renting it out to other people. • Your parents and sister were very puzzled that you were dating her former doctor. • They were also worried about your age difference, but you tried to calm them down, although you yourself were a little worried about this issue. • You seem to have made friends with Cameron and she began to ask you curiously about what it was like to meet such a famous diagnostician as House. But you saw the hidden implication in her words: what is it like for you to meet with such a sick cripple as House? • And then you realized that she was good, but it would be better to keep her at some distance. • And after discussing it with House, you decided it was for the best. You didn't want to be asked about it all the time. • Sometimes House pisses you off, but you quickly calm down, thinking that if he wasn't in your life, it would be an order of magnitude more boring and grayer. • You help him if you need to find something quickly in the computer. • He stays at work very often, although he tries to get out of there as soon as possible. But you just nod knowingly when he calls you and once again apologizes for being delayed in the hospital again. There is nothing more important than a patient and you know it perfectly well. • Cuddy later told you that House used to only want to go home as soon as possible and only sometimes, in particularly interesting cases, he stayed in the hospital for a long time. And when he was looking for a clue, he could even spend the night there and not come home. • She thought it was you who influenced him so much and wanted to know your secret. But there was no secret. Only love and support. • You told her so, but she didn't believe you. • And she was looking for some kind of trick, visiting House for a reason you don't understand. • But there really wasn't any catch, so at first you just laughed, and then it started to strain you noticeably. Just like House. • But poor Wilson was the only voice of reason between the two of you and Cuddy, so Lisa listened to him. It was he who told her that she was either too protective of him or too jealous. • She initially started to deny it, but eventually admitted that she might not have completely fallen out of love with House yet. • It bothered you, but at least she no longer visited your house whenever she wanted to, but previously called and asked for permission. And then suddenly you would have been asleep, and she would have come and stood on the doorstep in the middle of the night. • House tried to talk to her, but she didn't really listen to him and you were sure that she wouldn't listen to him in the future. • That's why you started being more careful with her and in general. • But House, even realizing that this could bring problems, continued to show signs of attention to you in public sometimes. • You talked to him about it and he even agreed, it seems, but sometimes anyway, either forgetting, or just out of spite and a desire to tease Cuddy, kissed you in the walls of the hospital and hugged your waist. • His attention was pleasant to you, of course, but you were still worried about other people's feelings and could not get rid of the idea that you were building your happiness on someone else's misfortune of one particular woman. • But Wilson and House reassured you. One said that you're not taking House away from her, because she gave it up on her own, and the other that even though he was happy with Cuddy for a while, he'd rather spend the rest of his life with you, because you're dearer to him. • This confession deprived you of all words for a few moments, but then you smiled and gently and gently kissed him on the cheek.  "Are you okay?" "Yes, I... what?" You just laughed and kissed him on the cheek again, smiling broadly. • He officially met your family when they invited you to the annual family Christmas dinner. • And your sister didn't fail to notice that he saved her life. • Gregory calmly confirmed this, but did not pursue this topic further and imperceptibly squeezed your hand under the table, smiling. • S/N thanked him for saving her life, and House just nodded. • After you came home, he confessed to you that he had probably never felt so awkward in his life. You smiled and kissed him on the forehead before heading to the kitchen to sort out the groceries you bought on the way home. • Your mom called you later that evening to find out how you got home and ask if you liked everything. You assured her that everything was fine and she calmed down and wished you good dreams. • One day you asked him about his bad leg and he reluctantly told you his story. You realized that you made the right conclusions when you remembered the question about chronic pain. • Sometimes House mentions you when he tells patients something.  "You know, Y/N often tells me…"  "Excuse me, who is Y/N?" "Oh, that's my girlfriend," Greg smiles softly. • One day you gave him a new cane. He grumbled-grumbled that he didn't need it, but after a few days you noticed that he was using your gift. • You make concessions if you suddenly disagree on some issue. • You can calm him down if something upset or angered him at work. • He often cooks something just like that or to please you, and, admittedly, he does it perfectly. • You love him, and he loves you, so you do everything for each other's happiness.
