"We'll get out," Michael smiled faintly, squeezing Adam's hand in his.
Milligan wanted to believe him, because he is one of the most powerful creatures in the world, but the problem is that even he did not know how to get out of here without external influence.
With the departure of Lucifer, it became easier, no one tried to hurt Adam and Michael anymore, who tried to protect the person as much as he could.
But the Cage did not allow him to heal completely, so Michael smiled at the alarmed Adam through force. Milligan was very worried about the archangel, because he was his only friend here in the Cage, the only being who supported him and did not let him completely lose heart. Adam thought that if Michael died here, he would go mad alone, just like Lucifer.
Michael only clenched his teeth tightly and smiled tensely. He really hoped that the man did not really notice the whole terrifying scale of his pain for the archangel.
"Everything will be fine," Michael whispered softly, enveloping Adam with his wings. His breathing is heavy and rapid. Have panic attacks become a daily occurrence for them? hourly? phenomenon. Neither of them knew how long they had been here. More often, of course, Adam had attacks, but Michael also caught a few.
They supported each other, not letting them give up and stop fighting with the damn Lucifer Cage.
"Nothing can be worse now," the archangel continued quietly.
"We will get out, Michael, for sure," Adam whispered, squeezing the archangel's hand in his.
He talked about everything he thought about, dreamed about and lived about back then, before the ghouls. He talked about his mother, about his father, with whom he began to communicate only at the age of twelve, with childish delight he said that at the age of seven he had a cat.
Michael chuckled at the remark about his father and noticed that he had never communicated with his own. For some reason, it hurt the archangel. Noticing this, Adam smoothly shifted the conversation from the topic of his father and family to his studies and some places that he happened to visit.
"When we get out, I'll show you the world," Michael suddenly promised, when Adam finished speaking, his eyes flashed blue.
"I take you at your word," Adam smiled, thinking of something else to tell.
When the Cage finally opens, they are ready to travel.
