Chapter Two: Home Sale
December 12, 2023 at 9:36 AM
Not noticing how Sonic fell asleep on the shelf, he dreamed of almost the same reality without changes, where he also lies on the shelf and sleeps, until he heard David's cheerful voice. Waking up and looking out lightly, he looks out the window and sees that David is all so cheerful and is skipping home, humming something, and Stephanie is a little joyful, as if they were late somewhere and had to go back.
— Returned? — he whispered to himself and was suddenly so happy about it. He even wanted to tell all his friends about it. — HEY GUYS! DAVID RETURNED FROM SONIKKON CHILDREN'S CAMP EARLY ON TIME!
CinemaSins: And the guys don’t hear the sound of the car, nor the screams of David, who jumped out of it under the very open window.
AntiSins: Is it okay that all this happens in Sonic’s sleep? If this had happened in real life, then of course not only he, but everyone else would have heard it.
— Everyone is in place! David returns. — says Vector and all the toys return to their places, and at this time Sonic remained on the shelf, waiting for David to run up to him.
David himself ran into the room and waved his hand towards the shelf, but did not go there, but decided to take another toy instead. Sonic came to life for a minute and didn’t understand why he didn’t come up to him? And David took Dr. Eggman into his hands and decided to play cowboy and horse with him, while he himself played the role of a horse.
— What? — the hedgehog was indignant, he suddenly forgot about the basic rule of toys, stuck his arms and head out from the shelf and shouted: — WHAT ARE YOU DOING???
However, David, as if deaf, did not hear his scream and did not pay attention to Sonic, continuing to play with Eggman. Sonic doesn't understand why he's ignoring him and wants to crawl a little closer and shout again, but he suddenly loses his balance and accidentally slides off the edge of the shelf. With both hands he grabs the edge of the shelf and tries to hold on, but suddenly his broken arm ceases to be felt and falls down. The hedgehog, unable to hold on with one hand, falls down. Having fallen straight to the floor, a huge, endless and dark abyss breaks under Sonic, where he falls further.
Suddenly, Sonic lands on what looks like the bottom of a trash can, where there were many different broken toys lying around, but most of all there were toy hands of all sorts of robots, dolls and others. He also noticed that his broken arm had been torn away from him and was lying among all this debris. The hedgehog, out of fear, does not want to stay in the trash can and with his only remaining hand tries to get out, when suddenly a pile of garbage from broken toy hands also comes to life and grabs Sonic by the neck and pulls him back into himself. David himself appears from above the open bottom of the trash can, calmly looking into the trash can, as if he doesn’t care about Sonic. On his right shoulder, Eggman sat like a parrot and grinned viciously at him, waving his hand goodbye to him, and the boy pretended not to notice or hear the revived Eggman on his shoulder.
— No, David! David! No need! Help me! — the blue hedgehog shouted and tried to fight the debris that was sucking him in like quicksand, but it was all in vain.
— Goodbye, broken toy! — David says with an evil grin, his voice echoing.
— No, no, no! Da-a-avi-i-id! — Sonic was still shouting, and the boy just closed the trash can with a lid. And then there is darkness and Sonic suddenly jumps up from his seat, screaming heart-rendingly.
CinemaSins: A character jumps because he had a nightmare. And how lucky it was that David wasn’t in the room!
AntiSins: Apparently you yourself have never had truly terrible nightmares. I've caught myself doing this a couple of times. Well, as for the fact that David was not in the room, he was just lucky. Or maybe he just knew there was no one in the room. Just remember how Shadow jumped up from his nightmare in the middle of the night in the first part! He tried not to scream and be quiet so as not to wake anyone, but at the same time he calmed down from the nightmare.
Catching his breath and calming down from the nightmare, he looks around and sees that he accidentally grabbed himself with his slightly injured hand in his sleep. Apparently he tossed and turned a little in his sleep while he slept. He suddenly thought he heard someone coughing nearby. A cough came from behind one of the books, which lay tilted towards the others, which stood straight. Putting the book away with both hands and moving it towards the wall, he saw a light guy, or rather Chip, who was made from Andrew wood for David and painted. His neck was slightly broken and tilted to the side, and he was slightly covered in dust.
— Chip? It's you?
— Hello, Sonic. — He cleared his throat and greeted him.
— What are you doing here? Didn't David take you to Grandpa Andrew to fix your neck? He was so terribly worried about you.
— No. He only promised, but it was already night, and he didn’t want to disturb the old master at such a time. Then he put me on the shelf only until the next day, promising me that tomorrow he would take me to him. And when that same tomorrow came, he just got up and went to wash, but he forgot about me. So I stayed on this shelf.
— Why didn’t you call for help?
— Oh, well, I tried. Well, I’m broken and no one heard me. — Chip explained and coughed again. — And then I felt even worse because of this dirt and dust. — he coughs one more time so hard that he falls, but Sonic manages to catch him. — Well, why should we waste extra time, because this is probably inevitable. Any of us can get from here... There. — without turning his head, Chip points his finger at the window. Sonic looks where he pointed and is surprised.
— To Uncle Kabanov? — Sonic asked.
— What? — Chip was surprised by what he heard. He raised his head and looked at where he had mistakenly pointed. To the neighbor's house, where the owner of the house could be seen in one of the windows. A man in his early forties, dressed like a biker and dancing in his home to loud rock music. — No. The-e-ere! — Chip points a little lower, where Ivan Drayton was driving a sign into the ground. On this very sign there was the inscription “Don’t pass by, don’t be shy! We're having a sale."
— Sale? — Sonic was surprised and, realizing what the hint was, he pushed Chip to the wall, and he looked out lightly from the shelf and shouted: — SALE, GUYS!!! HOME SALE HAS STARTED!!!
— Sale? — Blaze was the first one on the nightstand to come to life.
— Sale? — Mephiles with Omega, Deko, Boko and Bokkun came out from under the bed.
— Sale? — Silver asks, getting up from David's bed.
— Sale? — Shadow asks, getting up from the floor.
— Will they throw us out? — Amy asked, looking out of the chest.
— SERGEANT, SOUND THE ALERT!!! — Sonic shouted towards the G.U.N. bucket. The commander climbs out of the bucket.
— YES, SIR!!! — He gives the hedgehog honor and begins to command. — ANXIETY!!! EVERYONE KEEP CALM AND TAKE POSITIONS FOR EVACUATION!!! GO-GO!!!
The commander was carried away by the team that he did not hear Karl Daun enter the room with a still empty box, since Lily asked him to go to David’s room and collect some things that David no longer uses. He heard screams, turned in the direction of the sound and saw a living toy commander, who was looking at him with bulging eyes. Even Sonic looked at him from the shelf in shock.
— "Yeah... no." — he thought, shaking his head, and calmly left the room, closing the door behind him. When everything worked out, the commander began to point out again:
— EVERYONE KEEP CALM AND TAKE POSITIONS FOR EVACUATION!!! EVERYONE LINE UP!!! GO-GO!!!
All the toys, except Sonic and Chip, on the floor lined up and began to be counted. Shadow and Silver walk past them with a notepad in their hands, calling each of them in turn by their names.
— Weasel!
— Here. — Knack answers. — Although sometimes they forget about me. — he whispered to himself.
— Maria!
— I.
— Robotniks! Gerald and Eggman!
— We.
— Big!
— Here.
— Infinite!
— Here.
— Manic and Sonia!
— Here.
— Oh, I hate sales. — Charmy said to himself, holding his hands folded.
— They're coming! Let's hide. — says Amy, who was standing at the door and listening to footsteps under the door. All the toys managed to run to their places and hide. Even Sonic managed to hide Chip back behind the same book and remained in place.
Karl Daun re-entered the room with Lili Drayton.
— I answer, these drops are very useful. You will immediately come to your senses and nothing like this will seem to you.
— Hope. — Karl answers and puts the box on the floor. — Okay. Let's see what your son no longer needs here.
— Just don’t look in the chest! All of David's favorite toys are there. They are more valuable to him than his own life.
— Don’t worry, Aunt Lili, I know my business and won’t mix anything up. — Karl answers and looks under the bed, taking out a box with a puzzle. — Old puzzle? I don't think he needs it, since he put it under the bed. He hardly collects it, does he?
— Yes. Actually, this used to be my puzzle. It was given to me on March 8th and I collected it several times, and David assembled it for the first time when he was three years old. Then he got tired of it and switched to regular toys. — Lili explained and left the room, leaving Karl alone in the room, because she knew that he would cope well on his own.
Daun at this time found an ABRICO pyramid and a small toy Tomaguchi monitor on the nightstand, next to Blaze, then he looks behind the chest and finds a bunch of Lego construction kits without a box. Apparently it’s an old construction set, purchased a long time ago, and it doesn’t seem to be played with anymore. So he decided to put it in a box too. He noticed that there were also several unnecessary toys on the top shelf and stood on a chair to see what was there. First of all, he saw Sonic the Hedgehog himself. Apparently the same one that they also value, so he decided not to take it either, but only slightly moved it to the side. But from the shelf itself, he took out a xylophone of twelve tones with a hammer in it, the very book behind which Chip was, and finally he took out himself.
— Goodbye, Sonic. — he said to the hedgehog in a half whisper. Karl's eyes widened for a second and looked around.
— Who is there? — he asked, but no one responded. He looked around again. — Hm. It probably seemed like it.
With these words, he puts everything he collected into a box and then leaves the room with it. Sonic, being on the shelf, looked at it and didn’t know what to do.
— Chip! What to do? Think, Sonic, think! — he said to himself, lightly slapping his forehead. It only occurred to him to call Sirius. To do this, he simply whistled and the cat immediately ran to the call of his secret friend into the room. — Hey, here, Sirius! I'm here! — the hedgehog gently beckons the cat, and then carefully descends, grabbing the edge of the shelf with both hands. Sirius stands directly under him and Sonic unclenches his fingers, falling straight onto the cat's back. — Good cat, now let's go to the sale! Go! — he said like a cowboy and a cat, like a faithful horse, he rose slightly on his hind legs, meowed and galloped out of the room.
The rest of the toys were shocked by what they saw.
— Sonic! Amy panicked.
— Is he crazy? — asked Espio.
— What's the matter? — asked Knack.
— And Sonic is going anyway. — Shadow.
— NO, SONIC!!! SONIC, WE LOVE YO-O-OU!!! — the Time Eater shouted after him.
Sirius, with Sonic on his back at this time, carefully went down the steps and approached the cat flap on the large door leading out to the street. Lightly sticking his muzzle out, he looks around. Following him, Sonic himself leaned out slightly. Various tables were already set up in the yard with boxes placed on them. Oddly enough, next to Ivan and Lili Drayton were also Karl Duen, as well as Andrew and Dennis Omarov, who helped with the sale. Neighbors were passing by the house at that moment and noticed that their neighbors were starting a sale. Out of curiosity, they come to their site and see what they are selling. Maybe they would want to buy it for themselves. The good thing is that the items for sale looked like they had just been released. At the same time, other stores would sell them at a higher price, but fortunately at Drayton's they are much cheaper. There were even new toys that Andrew Omarov himself made and also decided to sell at the Drayton sale. One girl drew attention to the toys made by the old master.
— O! Toys on the table!
— How it's funny.
— Don't pass by! Do not be shy! There's enough for everyone here.
— Hello! Are you interested in anything? — Lili turned to Uncle Kabanov, who also came to the sale.
— Yes. I noticed that you are selling something shiny. I love collecting and collecting all sorts of metal trinkets and chains. Do you sell anything similar?
— Certainly. Follow me, please!
— Okay, buddy. Forward. Just don't be intrusive. — Sonic whispers in the cat’s ear and hides behind him, and the cat himself pretends as if he is an elegant gentleman, slowly leaving his house and porch, going out into the street. — Well, not to the same extent! — the hedgehog whispered and the cat began to move on with normal and familiar steps. Sonic himself hid from one side of the cat to the other. Neighbors sometimes paid attention to a black cat passing by, but fortunately they did not notice the hedgehog toy itself.
At this time, the rest of the toys were watching the street from the window into David’s room.
— Let the rare beauty doll in to see! — Maria stretched between Blaze and Amy.
— How's it going? — asked the time eater.
— Do you see him? — asked Silver.
Eggman takes out his binoculars and, looking through them, discovers Sonic on the cat.
— Here he is!
At that time, the cat himself quietly escorted Sonic under the table with two boxes in one of which Chip was located. Sonic, despite his broken right arm, jumps up, grabs it with both hands and deftly climbs up. First, he hides behind an old alarm clock, suspecting that at that moment someone will turn in his direction and notice. By the way, he was not mistaken. Lili and Kabanov passed by. Fortunately, he was not noticed and the hedgehog, having climbed into the box with David’s former things, begins to look for Chip.
— A!!! — the devourer cried out briefly in fright, so much so that he was almost heard from the street. — He got into the box!
— Sold for seventy-five kopecks! — Shadow shook his head.
— Oh, Sonic! You are priceless. You are worth much more! Espio says as if Sonic can hear him.
— Quiet! He seems to be pulling someone out. — says Eggman and takes a closer look through binoculars. He notices that Sonic is turning around inside the box, looking around to see if people are still looking in his direction. At that moment he was holding Chip in his hands. — Ah! It's Chip!
— Chip? — asked all the toys at once, not believing their ears and eyes.
— So he’s not suicidal? He is a savior! — Manik was happy.
At this time, Sonic, holding Chip with one, albeit broken, but still felt hand, crawls out of the box with his whole hand, and then he himself jumps from the table onto the cement slab, next to the cat Sirius.
— Good girl, Sirius! Stay where you are! — says the hedgehog and the cat obediently stands motionless, like a statue. At this time, Sonic lifts the cat's collar on the back of his head and, carrying Chip under the collar, as if fastening him with a seat belt. — Like this! Let's go home, buddy.
— God bless you, Sonic! — Chip thanks him, smiling.
Then Sonic saddles Sirius and the cat slowly walks back home.
— He's coming back! — Eggman rejoices, looking through binoculars, and all the other toys rejoice too.
— Yes. — says Amy.
— This is great! - Maria answers.
— It’s hilarious! — says Mephiles.
They were almost halfway there when they suddenly noticed that Grandfather Andrew himself was at the sale. Sirius stops and turns his gaze to the old man. Then they decided to change the plan and immediately take the slightly broken toy to the master. Sirius sped up a little with joy and jumped over the watering hose. At that moment, Sonic accidentally couldn’t resist and fell out. One boy noticed that a blue hedgehog was lying on the floor and ran up to him. He takes it in his hands and runs to his father to show this toy.
All the toys, looking at this from the window of David's room, were in a panic.
— Not this! — Sonya was scared, and Eggman, looking through binoculars, repeated to himself in a panic:
— No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!
— What does this boy allow himself to do? — Infinite was indignant.
The boy himself, with Sonic in his hands, ran to his father in glasses, who was reading Stephen King's novel "The Mist", not paying attention to the prices of toys.
— Dad, dad, look! Look, dad, a toy blue cat. Let's buy it? Dad, dad, let's buy it. Well, daddy! Please!
The father is distracted from reading and takes Sonic in his hands, examining him.
— My sweetie, why do you need this toy? She's broken. — dad answers and throws the hedgehog onto the next table. At that moment the boy accidentally pulled his thread, but obeyed his father and let it go. Sonic fell onto a nearby table, and with his head the interface spoke from behind a stretched thread:
— I have ticks in my sneaker.
At that moment, a tall, thin man stood near another table and looked at things, clearly looking for something specific. Hearing a strange voice, he turned and saw a toy blue hedgehog. Coming closer and examining it, he was in such shock that he couldn’t believe his eyes. When he picked it up and began to examine the entire toy in his hands, he was delighted.
— That same face, hand-painted! The same shape of the body and needles! Natural colors! — the man was very happy with his find, but soon noticed his torn hand. - Small defect? This can be fixed.
And at this time Sirius, together with Chip on his neck, who was held by his collar, ran up to the old familiar toy maker and, standing on his hind legs, clings to the pant leg on his grandfather’s right leg, calling him to him so that he turns around and looks down. Andrew did just that.
— O! Hello Sirius. — he says.
Sirius meowed in response and tilted his head, showing a toy on his back with a slightly broken neck.
— What do you have? — the master asked, sat down, helped the cat remove the toy from under the collar and, standing on his feet, examined it. — O! So this is the Chip that I made with my own hands and gave to David on the twenty-third of February. — he immediately recognized his creation and slightly moved his head to check the damage. — Hm-m. There's a problem with the neck, but that's okay. I think this can be fixed. Well done, Sirius.
Grandfather stroked the kitten on the head and walked away. At this time the cat was looking around and trying to find Sonic, not knowing where he had gone? Looking around, he saw that some tall and thin man was holding Sonic in his hands and was approaching Lili to negotiate with her that he wanted to buy him.
— Yes? May I help you?
— Yes. Can you take my best friend away from him? — Shadow said sternly, looking out the window at Lili with that guy.
— Quiet! — Amy shushed him from the side.
— Certainly. I am a foreign collector. I come to different countries for sales and look for rare items. Among your things, I liked this rarity. — the guy explains and shows Sonic. — I’ll give you fifty thousand rubles for it. You agreed?
— Oh no. How did he get to you? — Lili asked and extended her hand to pick up Sonic, but the guy stepped back a little and laughed a little to the side.
— Give her the hedgehog and don’t show off! - Eggman rudely whispered, looking behind them through binoculars.
— Well, wasn’t it lying there on your table? Or were you just joking? — the collector asked. — So we agree? Fifty thousand rubles for this wonderful toy?
— No, sir. Sorry, but this is not just a toy, but our priceless thing, which is passed down in our family from generation to generation. — Lili explained and finally took the hedgehog in her hands.
— Fine, fine! Do you want me to offer you one hundred thousand rubles? Is it coming? — the guy insists on his own.
— Sorry, but this is our family toy. Even if you offer us a million, we still won’t take it from you. — Lili answers and moves away, and the collector is persistent and follows her.
— And for two million? Stop!
— Get out from here! — Eggman whispered, continuing to watch them. — Not there!
— Well, do you want me to give you five million?
— Five million is not little. — Espio whispered in Vector’s ear and thought, scratching the back of his head. — Maybe we can still agree to such a deal? — It was in vain that he thought about it out loud, when he immediately received a slap on the head from Gerald. — Ouch! Well, what, I can’t dream?
— Sorry, but it is not for sale. — the mistress of the house continued to refuse offers and temporarily locked Sonic in a blue picnic box, after which she closed the lock.
— Not true. Everything is sold or exchanged. — he still insists on his own and offers a wristwatch. — Here! For example, do you want a watch? They were made by my great-great-great-great-great-grandfather. Moreover, he made them with his own hands, and they still work.
— Saved! — Eggman smiles and puts away his binoculars. All the toys by the window are happy.
— Well, Lili, well done! — Maria Robotnik mentally praises David’s mother out loud.
At that moment, the cat Sirius himself walked by, and the guy got a little scared and jumped up on the spot. The cat himself looked menacingly at the guy and purred angrily, as if he was about to attack him. The guy wanted to get around the cat, but it crossed his path and stopped on the way, and the collector, despite the huge difference in size, was afraid to even approach him or go around him.
— Sirius, come here! — Lili takes the cat in her arms. — Forgive him, he has never behaved like this before. He is usually friendly to everyone.
— How can you keep a black cat at home? Don't you know that this is a bad omen? If a black cat without a single white spot crosses your path, then expect both happiness and misfortune. — he explained to Lily, and the latter laughed to the side.
— Do you believe in this nonsense?
— Aren't you? Where is the evidence that black cats don't bring bad luck? A cat crossed my colleague’s path, and then he was fired from his favorite job due to some ridiculous incident! — the guy insisted. — However, I digress. What are you willing to exchange this blue hedgehog for?
— I told you that it is not for sale! — Lili was already tired of such persistence.
— Has he still not understood anything?! — Sonia asked, perplexed and angry, and Eggman again took out his binoculars and began to watch what was happening.
— Lili, is everything okay? — Ivan heard part of the conversation and came over to find out what was going on.
— You see. — the collector began. — I collect rare things and at your sale I came across a very rare copy of a toy blue hedgehog, and this woman claims that it is not for sale!
Not understanding anything, Ivan looked at his wife, trying to understand whether the man was lying or not. Drayton knew they only had one toy blue hedgehog.
— Just try to give Sonic to this idiot! — Shadow hissed, watching his mistress’s husband.
— Vania, Sonic really was with him, but I have no idea how he got here. Carl brought a box of David's old things, but Sonic wasn't there. I saw her myself. — Lili explained, but Drayton made it clear that he believed her.
— Please, sir, there was an unfortunate misunderstanding. That blue hedgehog really isn't for sale.
— How can you not understand?! This is a very rare, one might say the only copy! You won't find anything like this anymore! Can you imagine how much it costs?! — the guy got angry, realizing that things were not going in his favor.
— I don’t care what its price is. I am the owner of this toy and all I know is that it has been in our family for many years. I'm not going to sell it for any money.
— But... — the collector wanted to say something else, but suddenly he heard a menacing growl behind him. The cat was still sitting in the owner’s arms and behaved calmly. Turning around, the guy saw a German shepherd standing nearby, which was clearly not in a friendly mood. The owner of the shepherd dog approaches and looks menacingly at the man and asks:
— Why don’t you understand? They told you in Russian that they will not sell you what is not for sale. So if you're not going to buy anything else, then get out of here before I call the police. — he said, and then began to pretend to be stupid. — A! Stop! It is me? — he asked himself, pointing at himself with the index finger of his right hand. He takes out his document with a police badge and shows it to the collector and shouts at him: — LEAVE THE SITE IMMEDIATELY BEFORE I SEND YOU TO COURT FOR HALTING THE DRAYTONS, ACCORDING TO ARTICLE THREE, COUNTER EIGHT!!!
— Yah you! — said the man and hurried to quickly leave so that the dog would not rush at him.
— Roll, Mister Cool Car! — Manik said contentedly.
— What, Sheriff? Didn't you like this guy either? — Ivan asked, approaching the Omarovs’ dog, who had already calmed down and lay down in his place.
— Yes. Some suspicious guy. He needs an eye, and an eye. — Danny answers for the dog, looking at the collector for one minute. — Although... He reminds me of someone.
But the collector doesn’t want to leave so easily. He noticed a skateboard on the floor and one boy with that adult guy in glasses, and thought of a trick.
— Stop! — Eggman said and looked at the guy suspiciously. — What is he up to now?
The collector approaches the boy and shows him a banknote in the amount of five thousand rubles. The money clearly lured the boy and he takes it in his hands. The collector whispers in his ear:
— I have many more of these. Do you want more?
The boy silently nods, and the guy points his finger at Danny with his dog and says:
— You see that policeman with the dog. Try to distract him somehow and a few more five thousand bills are yours.
— Well, I don’t know, uncle. This is somehow not right. My dad told me that taking things from strangers is bad, as they can steal or teach you bad things.
— So I’m not going to kidnap you or teach you anything bad. On the contrary, I want you to help me do a good deed. Those guys are guarding a very rare toy that I really need. But for good reason they don’t want to sell it to me. And I really, really need her. Will you help the unfortunate uncle? — he pretended to be unhappy and the boy could not refuse him, and his father, who was still reading Stephen King’s book, was busy reading and did not hear anything like that.
The collector gave the boy three more exactly the same bills ahead of time, so as not to forget in advance, and the boy ran to Danny with his dog. The sly man himself at this time stepped on the skateboard with one foot and aimed it at three boxes in the corner and for one he quietly takes out a master key from his right pocket.
— Help, help, I lost my mom and dad! — says the boy Danny.
— Lost your mom and dad? And where do you live? — Danny asked.
— In fact of the matter! I don't know where I am or how I got here. Only my parents knew the address of our site, and I still haven’t even learned their phone number by heart. I'm afraid that they will lose me too and will worry. — the boy continued to lie in order to lead the policeman and his dog away.
— Okay, don't worry. We will find your relatives. Let's go to our site for now! — says the policeman, taking the boy by the hand, as well as the dog by the leash, and walked with them from the Drayton house site.
After making sure that the boy had led the policeman far enough, the collector pushed the skateboard towards those three boxes. The skateboard crashed into them at high speed, causing a loud crash. Ivan and Lili went to check what was going on. Making sure that the path was clear, the man quickly headed towards that table with a picnic box. Taking out a master key, he quickly began to pick the lock.
— What is happening there? — asked the weasel.
— It hurts to watch! Someone cover my eyes! — whined the time eater.
— What is he doing? — Vector couldn’t see, because that guy was blocking the picnic basket with his back. But in fact, he was able to open the lock and, opening the picnic basket, took Sonic from there. Afterwards, he immediately decided to leave with it in his hands, while no one was looking at him.
— No! He stole Sonic. — said Eggman, seeing all this through binoculars.
— Stole?! — asked all the toys in unison.
— What? He has no right! It is illegal. — Blaze stated.
— Where is he going? — asked Gerald.
— Someone do something! — Maria begged.
None of the toys dared to do anything. Only Silver thought to jump out of the window and, clinging to the drainpipe, go down it. Once below, the white hedgehog runs after the kidnapper.
— Silver! — Blaze wanted to jump after the hedgehog, but other toys stopped her.
— No, Blaze! It's too dangerous. People might notice you. — said Charmy.
Meanwhile, Silver carefully made his way between the tables, trying not to catch people's eyes and at the same time not to miss the kidnapper, who was already getting into his car. His car looked half futuristic and somewhat resembled a superhero car. The license plate was noticeably different from Russian license plates. The guy opens the trunk of the car, a black chest inside the trunk and puts Sonic inside, locking him there. Then he closes the trunk itself. Getting behind the wheel, he drove a little back onto the road, turned to the left and drove off. Silver, who was hiding behind the fence, runs out and grabs the car's bumper. Having risen to the trunk and noticing the keyhole, he takes out a couple of pins from his right armpit, puts them in the hole and, like a master key, moves it to the side. The trunk opens slightly from the bottom, and Silver hides the pins back in his armpit and lifts the trunk from the bottom up.
— Okay, Sonic. Let's go! — he says, opening the trunk. Suddenly, another toy appeared from the trunk, somewhat similar to Tails. Only he was brown and a little smaller, and his head shape was different. He himself was somehow angry, and as soon as the hedgehog opened the trunk, this two-tailed toy quickly clenched his right hand into a fist and hit him in the face. From such a blow, Silver flew back and fell onto the road, missing his pursuer. Having fallen several times on the road with his body, some buttons were slightly pressed, but his voice interface inside still uttered one phrase:
— Silver the Hedgehog is coming to the rescue!
But unfortunately, he did not have time to carefully look at and remember what the toy looked like, which was in the trunk, hit him and then closed the trunk itself behind itself. Luckily, Silver managed to see the license plate of the car from behind before the car turned right and disappeared from sight.
The rest of the toys, while in David's house, were shocked that Sonic had been kidnapped. Amy Rose even became sad and asked herself:
— Why did someone need to steal Sonic?
Notes:
Who was this kidnapper? Why did he steal Sonic? Will Sonic himself be saved? We will learn about this in the following chapters.
