«The Little Mermaid». Ariel. Friend (#1)

Notes:
Imagine that you were Ariel's personal maid and best friend. *** "Princess Ariel, it's time to wake up!" you quickly swam into the royal person's chambers, gently shook her by the shoulder and swam away. Triton's daughter rolled over, facing you, and opened her eyes. "Good morning, Y/N," she greeted you. "Good morning, Princess," you said and hurriedly added, "your father wants to see you, he said that you should go to him immediately when I tell you his words. "Thank you," the girl thanked, getting out of bed, "and, yes, you remember that when we are alone, you can address me as "you"?" "I'm sorry," you lowered your head and immediately corrected yourself, "I'm sorry, Ariel." "That's better," the mermaid smiled. *** "It's dangerous, King Triton forbade you to rise to the surface, Ari," you tried to reason with your friend, because you were insanely afraid that she might repeat the fate of her mother. "And we won't tell him," the girl turned around, "well, Y/N, please," grabbing your hands, she said pleadingly, "one time, please". You shouldn't have agreed, but Ariel looked at you with pleading eyes, so you couldn't refuse her. You remembered with bright sadness the time when Queen Athena was still alive and Ariel often listened to her mother's interesting stories in the evenings and did not put herself in danger! Once on the surface, you started chasing each other. The Princess of the Atlantic then dived into the depths, then reappeared above the water. The night was just right, few people could see you. You were so carried away by the catch-up games that you didn't notice how night fell on the ocean. Then you saw the ship and the princess went to it, she was interested in people, and life under water seemed boring and cramped to her, because she already knew her. You followed Ariel because you just couldn't leave her alone in potential danger. With the help of her hands, the Princess of the Atlantic got to the hole in the ship above the water and looked curiously into it. Apparently, she liked what she saw and she moved a little, making room for you. You were so carried away by watching people, as dark clouds began to thicken over the ocean and a storm began. Ariel jumped into the raging waves with you, but she looked back at the ship, saw the fire burning brightly and realized that she had to do something. "Faster! We need to help them somehow!" she looked at you pleadingly. You didn't think for long, although the thought was pounding in your head that Ariel was risking herself in vain, and when people who jumped overboard began to lose consciousness or drown, you and the princess tried to get them to a safe shore as soon as possible. Ariel picked up a man who was saving others, and then desperately tried to save his pet and almost died when the ship exploded. You looked at those who got to the boat and realized that they didn't need your help, so you swam after the princess. *** "Ariel, he's alive, let's go quickly before the others come," you called, watching the princess from behind the stones with Flounder and Sebastian. Scuttle was trying to help the princess and was honestly looking for the prince's heartbeat in... you think people called it "legs". No one has come for this man yet, but you had no doubt that his shipmates would find him and then it would be better for you to be away from the shore and the further the better. You heard this person's pet before it appeared on the horizon. Ariel quickly found herself in the water, you didn't even have time to blink an eye. "Eric! Eric!" someone's voice was heard from the shore. You watched as the one called Eric got to his feet and started talking about the girl, he was sure that she had saved him. But his adviser, Grimsby, was sure that the prince had swallowed water, so he dreamed all sorts of nonsense. Ariel turned to you with her eyes shining with happiness. "He remembers that I was there," she murmured, smiling happily. You nodded. "Yes, Ari, but you understand that we can't show ourselves to them," you nodded at the land, "they can kill us," you explained when the princess looked at you in bewilderment. "They can, but they won't necessarily kill us," Ariel sighed. She held out her hand to you and you dived into the water. *** Sebastian accidentally let slip to King Triton about people and he went to Ariel's vault to have a serious talk with her. But their conversation ended in disaster for the princess, because her father destroyed her vault and the statue of Eric. "Leave me," Ariel asked, crying, and you exchanged glances and left the shelter. You were worried about Ariel, so you and Flounder and Sebastian stayed near the cave in case something happened. When you saw Ariel accompanied by Ursula's pets, two moray eels, you were wary. "Ariel, where are you going?" "To Ursula." "Are you sure this is so necessary? Ursula is a witch and her witchcraft is worth a lot" you tried to reason with the princess, but she was adamant. The moray eels and Ariel quickly swam away, and you thought for a moment and made a decision. "Inform the Triton," you quietly threw to Flounder and Sebastian, and yourself went after Ariel. You didn't care which one of them would fulfill your request. *** Ursula offered Ariel to become a human. She gave her a potion that made the mermaid human for three days. But the witch had one condition: so that before the sun sets on the third day, the prince falls in love and kisses Ariel with the kiss of True Love. If the prince kisses Ariel before sunset of the third day, then she remains a human forever, if this does not happen, then she turns into a mermaid and remains in Ursula's hands. And the price was the voice of the princess. And Ariel agreed. Flounder did not have time to inform the Triton about this in time, because when they arrived at Ursula's lair, it turned out that Ariel had already sailed to the surface of the ocean with Sebastian. "Y/N, you should have told me about it first!" Triton scolded you like a little girl and you couldn't resist being sarcastic in response: "What do you need Sebastian for, Your Majesty?" you shrugged, trying to seem unperturbed, but deep down you felt guilty. Triton stared at you for a few seconds, and then sighed heavily. "Sebastian is trying to help Ariel. Mermaids should not dream of the earth, Y/N. Tell me honestly, do you really dream of earth?" You honestly thought for a couple of minutes and answered him: "I certainly don't dream about it now, Your Majesty. But Ariel has been dreaming about the earth since childhood and nothing has changed from the fact that it is forbidden, because the forbidden fruit is sweet, as I once heard," you explained. Triton seems to be thinking about your words. "Do you have a plan, Your Majesty?" you asked when you saw that he was heading for the surface of the ocean. "Ask Flounder," he looked at him expressively, "and Sebastian, as well as this... seagull, so that they keep an eye on Ariel so that she doesn't do anything else," the tsar replied. *** But watching Ariel, as it turned out, was not the best idea, because she didn't do anything like that anymore. Another thing is Ursula, who behaved very suspiciously. You watched Ariel and Eric, who went first to explore his kingdom, and then to go boating. At some point they were ready to kiss, but suddenly the boat capsized. You immediately dived under the water and managed to notice two moray eels that were serving Ursula. You immediately informed Flounder, Sebastian and Scuttle about it. That same evening, an unknown girl suddenly appeared in the castle, who introduced herself as Vanessa, who came from nowhere, and even with Ariel's voice! You were sure it was some kind of trick, but you couldn't figure out what was the matter until Scuttle informed you that the prince was marrying Vanessa today and they were going on a honeymoon. Ariel remained on the shore sad that Eric did not recognize her. But Scuttle flew to you and informed you that Vanessa is actually the witch Ursula. Sebastian immediately went to the tsar to inform him of what had happened. You and Flounder helped Ariel get on the ship on time. Almost on time, because sunset was very close. But Ariel couldn't tell Eric that she was the mermaid who saved him during the shipwreck and that her voice is now using "Vanessa", because the voice has not returned to her. She turned into a mermaid and while the prince looked at her with surprise, spreading his hands, Ursula, who also turned back into an octopus, grabbed the princess and dragged her into the depths of the ocean to fulfill the contract and turn the mermaid into her slave. Meanwhile, King Triton went to Ursula to terminate the contract of the youngest daughter (is he a king or not a king, after all?), but it didn't work out, because Ariel herself signed a contract with the sea witch. And it was approved. Then Triton voluntarily exchanged his crown and trident for his daughter's life and became Ursula's new slave — a gray worm-like polyp. You were terrified. What will happen to the ocean now? Suddenly Eric dived to the bottom of the sea and decided to fight Ursula, hoping to save Ariel from Ursula, and you, Flounder and Sebastian tried to help him in this as best you could, because without the princess everything would be useless: both the sacrifice of the princess herself and the sacrifice of her father. Flotsam and Jetsam tried to stop Eric, but Ursula accidentally shot them with a trident in an attempt to help her pets and they died. In anger, Ursula increased in size and a violent storm broke out in the ocean. Noticing Ariel clinging to a rock so as not to be carried away by the waves into the ocean, Ursula tried to kill her with a trident. Eric, with your help, swam to one of the ships raised from the bottom, climbed onto it with difficulty and sent the ship straight to Ursula. He pierced Ursula with the bowsprit of the ship, and you breathed a sigh of relief, because the storm immediately subsided. Triton regained his crown and trident, and Eric was washed up on the seashore. Ariel settled on a rock on the surface and looked sadly at the shore. She is a mermaid again and now she and Eric cannot be together, because he is a human…  "Your Majesty, are you all right?" you noticed a Newt on the surface of the ocean and immediately swam to it. "Yes, of course," he smiled good-naturedly and looked sadly at his daughter. "Does Ariel really love him?" he suddenly clarified, looking at you. "Yes, I'm sure of it," you nodded your head. "Then the only problem is that I will miss her very much," Triton sighed heavily and Ariel became a human in an instant with the help of his trident. * At the wedding of Ariel and Eric, all the inhabitants of the sea kingdom and Eric's kingdom gathered. You were among the special guests along with the royal family of the princess. This union and wedding united both your kingdoms into a single whole and you couldn't get enough of looking at Eric and Ariel happy and in love. "Thank you, Y/N," the princess hugged you tightly, hugging you to her, "thank you for everything." "You make it sound like we're saying goodbye forever," you wiped away tears of happiness, "but we're not saying goodbye, right?" you looked into Ariel's eyes. "No, of course not! You will always be my close friend," she assured you. You smiled and congratulated Eric too, because now Ariel and her prince were going on a real honeymoon. You waved at the ship until it disappeared from sight, and then dived into the ocean depths. "Thank you, Y/N", Triton suddenly thanked you. "For what?" you squinted. "For the fact that you supported her when I couldn't," he smiled and, while you were a little behind, shocked by his words, swam towards his palace. Moving away from the shock (it's not every day that kings thank you!), you shook your head with a smile and went to catch up with him.
